Sudden Chance at Escape

Clink!

The sound of chains clanging against each other echoed through numerous empty halls. The source of that sound, was what appeared to be a little boy with long black hair and beautiful crystal-like crimson red eyes. That had a dark red, vertically slit pupils that gave a creepy look to him. The boy had chains that shined like white pearls, tying him to another lustrous wall behind him.

"Hey, don't bother trying to escape. I've already told you, Everything in your cell is infused with holy light." There was a tall person sitting on a chair a few meters away from him.

The man was wearing a heavy white and cyan attire, along with a mask, so none of his face was seen. It was like that for the past few hundred years or so that Leo had been captured and placed in this prison.

His powers had immensely decreased to that of a lesser vampire from overexposure to holy light. If not for that, he would killed the guard and ran off into some place else.

How did he get himself into this situation when he could've escaped the day of his capture? Honestly, it was a pretty dramatic story. Leo had turned into a vampire at the age of 8, while his family didn't make it and all of them had died at the hands of a lesser vampire.

That was when he had sworn to get revenge on the vampires related to his family's murder. Long story short, Leo had killed pretty much all the lesser and a few middle rank Vampires that he could find. It was already a given that he had become one of the most powerful Vampires in the world to have succeeded in that.

However, because of that, almost all of the Holy spirits or Gods wanted to confine him into the Demon Prison. Kept to contain the "demonic" creatures that cause too much havoc.

It was through the use of pure holy light that he was weakened and then captured.

"You got a visitor." The guard said, and then stepped aside.

"Hey~! I brought some Pig blood for us to have lunch together. Today tastes exceptionally good!"

Another vampire with short hair and orange eyes walked in, while waving two clear bags of blood.

"I prefer drinking human blood..." Leo only glanced up as he said that.

"Well~ I was kind enough to bring you a meal, a little boy like you won't grow big and strong if you don't eat~!" The vampire said it like he was concerned, but was using an annoying and teasing voice.

Leo didn't say anything further to the guy. He wanted to kill that damned vampire that had came to visit him often these past few years. Fortunately, Leo was actually the older and more mature one between the two, despite appearances, and held out to try and vent his frustration of being unable to do anything, at something else.

Such as the pearly chains. he could bite and claw at them, and it would break apart or cause any trouble for him. Seeing as the other vampire had left already, he continued doing the usual and taking his anger out on the chains....

'Huh?' Leo was almost stunned in place.

The chains! They started losing their bright and pearly color, and almost completely fading away! Leo almost couldn't believe it. He lightly touched the spots where the chains were SUPPOSED to be tied, but they were completely gone!

'Hehehah~ Maybe escape isn't any farther!'

Leo thought it would've been a few hundred or thousand more years until a chance of escape would appear, but it didn't seem to be the case! At that moment as well, the ground and surrounding area began to shake incredibly violently.

The guard was also concerned by this, and ran off into the maze of corridors.

"Heh~ It seems my escape will be easier than I expected...!" He didn't make anymore delay, and dashed off into the twisting and turning hallways.
