Elevated night

In the dark night, the man was walking with his usual pace, body stiff and mind wandering in the discoveries. The occasional light falling on his brooding face in the streets, showed his dangerous demeanor, at the same time none bothered to pass a second glance towards him. Going through their meet he was angry and frustrated at his position.

'The girl has a half-brother.' Roy had claimed to correct the man's perception.

Antonov was confused as he had collected different news, 'Boss, it's the half-sister. I may not complete the job sometimes but when I do, my sources are accurate.' The men were observing back and forth from Roy to the Russian. A few hummed in approval to Antonov's statement until the Boss was satisfied. The men were tasked to do their jobs reliably else their authorities might be compromised.

'Did the Prince receive his gift?' Roy inquired further. Antonov agreed, 'James did a good job in ensuring that.' The man James who was another one of them present, spoke out, 'The gold was replaced with his men's body parts who were guarding the vault.' Roy had ordered for the undocumented gold reserves of the Middle-east to be stolen, hence making the nations deprived of money to consider twice before cancelling the contract with the throne.

'I expect the additional reserves will be put to use accordingly.' All seven of the members grinned their consent to the Boss. The stolen gold will be used by them to induce more spies in handling their work, increasing the value of their small and esteemed organization. 'Send me the girl's location by the morning.' He pointed to Antonov who was managing the area's co-ordinates.

'Yes Boss.'

'Boss, what about the heiress?' The question came from the pocket-eyed man, Henrik leaning in his arm chair supported by his elbows with a fixed look in his eyes. His eyes weren't visible to counter what he was thinking and that was the dominant trait of the man. 'She could be trouble if she found out about us.'

'She is under my supervision, gentlemen. Our tasks won't be compromised.' Roy replied to their queries yet the same man wasn't convinced, 'She had been searching for our group ever since she's back. If we hadn't sealed the abandoned church, she could-'

'She is under my supervision!' He repeated authoritatively, ending the meet, 'That will be all.'

He had concluded the meeting abruptly, but he was aware of the pertinent issue nagging for a collective time. He had somehow managed to deflect it from Ella's sight until now; she was being stubborn to find the girl and ask her the questions that needed answers. At a point even he was curious about the woman, Cora, he had arranged for the missing girl to be located through his men which he never involved with to deal for his private matters. Hell, he didn't include them to search Ella after she was gone because he knew that they were reliable and equally nosy.

It wouldn't take much time to link him and Ella, especially after tonight. Embarking in the hotel's fire escape door to climb up the stairs, he clicked the door quietly, careful to not wake her up. Checking the time, he changed himself to get beside her under the covers, shifting closer he took her form around his arms inhaling her soothing scent, his body felt limp around her. Staring at the sleeping woman, he didn't regret anything he did to have her by his side.

He had often heard people aim for more wealth, he had been lucky to have stumbled upon the rich and powerful part. What he never expected was to find someone with whom he belonged. He felt connected with her in many ways, the first link being their friendship and familiarity with each other since they were kids which transformed into something more than that. It wasn't like he hadn't met other girls who were more beautiful than her but he realized that the meaning suited the most to his Elle.

Lingering a kiss on her forehead, he brushed her strands absently, after a while Ella squirmed slightly to his contact, waking up but not opening her eyelids, "You're awake?" she asked in a throaty voice.

"I am sorry I woke you up."

"You're awake too." She mumbled expecting him to answer her silent question.

"I was thinking about you. I am afraid I can't live without you." Roy whispered to her which was loudly audible in the silent room.

Curling her lips, she assured him, "I am right here." To emphasize it, she pulled herself from his chest to surround her arms around his neck. Still not opening her eyes she declared, "You don't have to live without me. You have always stayed with me; you will continue to do so." He chuckled at her demanding tone in her sleep, not helping kissing her lips after. He didn't know about any other wealthy man but he would trade everything for her, only to steal them back with her by his side. Grinning at his thought he remembered the days he used to steal any and every thing swiftly like his second nature.

If he hadn't been a renown CEO of such a global empire, he would have exceled in stealing too much from the moneyed breeds. "Yes mam. Would you like anything else?" He asked suggestively moving his hand lower down her body.

"Yes... For you to let me sleep," she tried moving away from him but he didn't let her and she was finding it difficult to put her strength in her drowsy state. It was too early for her to wake up.

Roy settled her gently around his arms to help her being comfortable, "Sleep now darling." Giving her a last peck for the night he settled himself around her feeling her close to his heart. He didn't know how to admit but his heart reacted in its own way uncontrollably for her.

"Good morning Elle." He greeted stretching his body and finding his fiancé near the edge of the bed with her back turned from him. It wasn't until she turned to face him that he found his phone in her hand. He formed a small frown between his brows, casually giving her a questioning look for looking into his phone. "You have my phone." He maintained his eyes on her, getting up in a sitting position slowly, as if he was not concerned that she was holding his credentials.

Ella held the phone to show him, "You found her." He saw the map originated through a red dot, but that wasn't his concern, it was the fact that she found out too. "She's here with the Prince."

A moment later Roy felt her hands around him when she spoke, "Thank you so much for finding her Roy. I would have felt hopeless if I had left without bringing her back to Ty." He enclosed his arm around her stiffly replying, "Of course Elle. Anything for you." Realizing only then that Ella could be the half-sister, Antonov was talking about.
