#Chapter30
The choices we make
Ted's POV
I swung the glass double door open and introduced myself into the lobby. Memories of what happened some days back flashed in my head.
/"Please./"
/"I'm sorry./"
Shaking my head, I prodded towards the stadium. The chattering of kids and their parents filled the milieu. I brushed past some children with toys in their hands, some playing, some crying loudly.
Pulling down the face of my cap, I increased my pace. Just then, I saw them. My mother and Janika were facing each other. The girl was wiping her tears with her white Jersey. My mother on the other hand soothed the kid's shoulder, a comforting smile glowing on her face.
/"I won't play if daddy doesn't come./" She folded her hands and stared at the ground. /"Grandma, doesn't daddy love me?/"
/"Of course he does./" She cupped the girl's cheeks. /"Your daddy is just busy with work./"
