The Unbound (Multiverse: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones?)

'What happens to you after a truck smashes you to death? A question I’ve asked myself a thousand times, as I read stories or watched animes involving Truck-kun. I’m sure many of you would have the same answer as me: ‘You get reincarnated silly.’ Or even those who’d say: ‘You meet an ROB and get a zillion wishes and go to your favorite world to build a harem and have cock measuring contests with everyone who looks wrong at you, DUH.’ I was surprised when I got to test it first hand. Scratch that, the only thought on my mind as I faced the enormous monstrosity, if there was any, was that I didn’t want to die, while my body thought it would magically solve the solution if I pissed and shat myself. Turns out that men shit themselves when they die, who knew?' This is a story about an ordinary man who suddenly found himself in a different world with a GAMER system! Or at least what appeared to be similar. Current World: Game of Thrones First World: The Walking Dead Second World: Game of Thrones I wish to do: Harry Potter, Danmchi, Marvel, DXD... Nothing is fixed yet, and I will be taking requests into consideration. ------------------------------------ Support me on Patreon and read up to 5 chapters ahead: patreon.com/xenongraves RELEASE RATE: I'm aiming for 10k words / week. so 1 chapter / day , with 2k words, though for now, I just post wherever I've reached. I haven't stockpiled chapters yet. ------------------------------------ Disclaimer: I do not own The Walking Dead. Thanks to LordValmar for the cover! ------------------------------------ This part is to help you decide if you want to read this or not. 1- Is this a HAREM story? I understand this is a deal breaker for a lot of people. So I'll avoid wasting your time. I didn't add a HAREM tag because it's not a HAREM story just yet. However, if you are ABSOLUTELY against the very idea of Harems, I suggest you avoid reading this, because as the author I am open to the possibility. However, at no point will this become a story where the MC gets any girl he wants just because he looked their way. I wish to make the interactions as human as possible. Needless to say, with the system, it might tip the scale in his favor. 2- Is the MC OP? At the start? Nope. he is as ordinary as they come. I'm trying to maintain a balance in the story. if he can speed run the world, there is no point in writing about his adventures at all if he's already a god. he will EVENTUALLY be OP, but not right off the bat. 3- Does the MC get wishes? No. If you have more questions, ask me in the comment, I'll give you an answer as soon as I can.

Chapter 29

"We can afford to wait a little." Ed said, puffing some smoke from his cigarette. "We've got a few weeks worth of supplies. There no need to rush to anything."

"Better enjoy what little time we got before jumping to our deaths man, take it easy. The grim reaper ain't in a hurry." Merle chuckled darkly.

The conversation went on for minutes, but they were all missing the most important question so far… Just what the fuck are we doing, stationed here? Waiting for death to come to us? Because that's the only ending I can see.

"That part we looted was the last part that wasn't overrun by walkers." Glenn explained. "We should start by scouting other places first, maybe find another store to hit."

"We'll just be going deeper into the city from now on." Jim spoke for the first time. "Perhaps it would be wiser to start looting the houses first. Get whatever we can."

"That's the problem, Jim" Glenn shook his head. "When the situation wasn't looking good in Atlanta anymore, people started packing. You'll hardly find any food left in their houses anymore, if they managed to make it past the door."

"So, should we loot the cars instead?" Andrea asked in puzzlement.

"Bad idea." Jim shook his head. "Most cars are too close to the city. Break in forcefully, and the alarm system will be calling walkers for miles."

"Let's go with Glenn's idea for now." Dale tried to find the middle ground. "We look around, see what place is safe and what isn't. Then we can decide what to do then." They fell in silence for a moment.

"Sounds good to me." Shane announced, earning nods from everyone. "So, who would be going then?" They all turned to Glenn.

"You've gotta be shitting me." He just sighed. Clearly, no one wanted to do it, since it was a significantly more dangerous job. I didn't volunteer, because I had other plans.

"I'll go." Theodore said. "The two of us should be enough, right? We'll just be looking around."

"I'll come with you." I suddenly said, bringing the attention to me. "Though I'll be on my own once we reach the city. I need the ride."

"You leaving us or something, kid?" Shane frowned.

"Let him leave." Ed snorted. "One less mouth to feed. Kid's gotta learn how hard life can be." I just looked at him coldly. I was angry, because part of the reason I was leaving was FOR the group, and this ungrateful bastard was just sitting on his ass all day smoking cigarettes.

"Hey, watch your mouth now and let the man speak." Theodore interrupted. "No one's asked you anything."

"I think we need more guns in camp. We've only got two, and even fewer bullets. I'd feel a lot safer if we had more." I explained, putting Ed's comment to the back of my mind. The bastard will pay for this, alright, I'll make sure of it.

"That's actually not a bad idea." Shane remarked. "But are you sure? It won't be a walk in the park out there, alone."

"Won't be a problem. I was alone before I met you guys, and I'm still alive and kicking, aren't I?"

"I'm not comfortable with the idea." Dale said. "Someone should be with you. I'll do it myself if I have to." 'Urgh, fucking great.'

"No." I shook my head. "I will be going alone." I said with finality. I won't move on this, and it's not like they can prevent me from going.

"You heard the man." Shane shrugged. "He can take care of himself." Shane gave Dale a look, while the latter just sighed. While I do appreciate the concern, he needs to understand that I don't need people holding my hand.

The group dispersed afterwards, each going to do their thing. I myself had to pack for tomorrow. I would be taking some food and tools in my backpack, but most of what I truly needed was already in my inventory. I had food to last me a few weeks if I'm stingy, so I wasn't particularly worried about that.

Amy intercepted me, as I was going to my tent: "Hey Xen, can I talk to you for a second?"
