The Unbound (Multiverse: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones?)

'What happens to you after a truck smashes you to death? A question I’ve asked myself a thousand times, as I read stories or watched animes involving Truck-kun. I’m sure many of you would have the same answer as me: ‘You get reincarnated silly.’ Or even those who’d say: ‘You meet an ROB and get a zillion wishes and go to your favorite world to build a harem and have cock measuring contests with everyone who looks wrong at you, DUH.’ I was surprised when I got to test it first hand. Scratch that, the only thought on my mind as I faced the enormous monstrosity, if there was any, was that I didn’t want to die, while my body thought it would magically solve the solution if I pissed and shat myself. Turns out that men shit themselves when they die, who knew?' This is a story about an ordinary man who suddenly found himself in a different world with a GAMER system! Or at least what appeared to be similar. Current World: Game of Thrones First World: The Walking Dead Second World: Game of Thrones I wish to do: Harry Potter, Danmchi, Marvel, DXD... Nothing is fixed yet, and I will be taking requests into consideration. ------------------------------------ Support me on Patreon and read up to 5 chapters ahead: patreon.com/xenongraves RELEASE RATE: I'm aiming for 10k words / week. so 1 chapter / day , with 2k words, though for now, I just post wherever I've reached. I haven't stockpiled chapters yet. ------------------------------------ Disclaimer: I do not own The Walking Dead. Thanks to LordValmar for the cover! ------------------------------------ This part is to help you decide if you want to read this or not. 1- Is this a HAREM story? I understand this is a deal breaker for a lot of people. So I'll avoid wasting your time. I didn't add a HAREM tag because it's not a HAREM story just yet. However, if you are ABSOLUTELY against the very idea of Harems, I suggest you avoid reading this, because as the author I am open to the possibility. However, at no point will this become a story where the MC gets any girl he wants just because he looked their way. I wish to make the interactions as human as possible. Needless to say, with the system, it might tip the scale in his favor. 2- Is the MC OP? At the start? Nope. he is as ordinary as they come. I'm trying to maintain a balance in the story. if he can speed run the world, there is no point in writing about his adventures at all if he's already a god. he will EVENTUALLY be OP, but not right off the bat. 3- Does the MC get wishes? No. If you have more questions, ask me in the comment, I'll give you an answer as soon as I can.

Chapter 17

- Xenon -

It took us an hour to arrive to the Hardware store, since we had to go back to our cars first, to put everything we had on us there, before going back. It's a good thing the cars we brought were quite spacious, but even then, we barely had any more space left. We could afford a run to the hardware store, but that's it. The next group will have to get the medicine IF we clear the zombies out.

"Are you guys sure about this?" Andrea was worried about it. "Shouldn't it be enough that we got what we already have? Why risk it? Besides, we could just wait a few days until the zombies moved out to raid the pharmacy."

"Nah, Xenon's got a point." Theodore answered. "If we had better weapons to fight the walkers, this would be a walk in the park. You should've seen him, two hits and the fuckers don't get up. We only got these bats cuz' they work well against normal people, so you put them in your car just in case. Otherwise, we wouldn't even have these. Would've been better if we had any guns with silencers, but we don't so… Why did you bring the empty bottles with you anyway?"

"Glass makes a lot of noise when it's broken." I informed him, hoping he'd get it from the clue, but it seems he didn't. "And?"

"It makes for a great diversion against those attracted by sound." "Oh!"

"There it is." Glenn said, as a store came into vision. It was unfortunately closed, but when did that ever stop us? We broke the lock on the back door, and went it, though we would be using flashlights for this one.

Jim who would be illuminating the way, while Theodore and myself are the front line. It was just a precaution, it was unlikely we'd find any walkers here of all the places, but you never know. After about five minutes of patrolling the store, we announced it was safe, so that everyone got in. I pretended to take my flashlight out of my backpack, but really I just brought it into existence in my hand once it went in. We would be browsing the items individually, to gain more time. We had two hours till sunset, we needed to leave before then.

They started looking at each item individually, but I can't miss my chance to get my axe out of the inventory. And to do that, I need to find where the hatchets and axes were. I passed by a set of flashlights, and took one into my inventory as a spare. They are easy to damage. Sure enough, as I was basically speed-running the store, I found it. A display of axes and hatchets lined up. I didn't see anyone similar to mine, but it didn't matter. I can claim it was the only one there. So, I took out my hatchet, and I fell in love.

It was quite long, about 50cm (19.68 inches), had a sharp blade on the front, but on the back, it had a sharp pointed spike, which made it just perfect. The spike on the back would be far more interesting to me, as it has extra piercing power. Which basically means that I'll only need one full powered swing to kill any zombie I come across.

"Guys!" I called out. "I found them."

"Now that's what we talkin' about!" T-Dog said with a wicked grin, as he picked up a two handed firefighter axe. They also had a spike in on the back, so was perfect for the occasion.

"Take your picks, guys." There were several designs for different sizes. The best ones are obviously those that enable you to kill the walkers without putting yourself in danger, meaning long two handed axes. But they were also heavier, and more difficult to wield.

There is something I never understood in the TV show, and that's how easy it is to pierce the human skull. How Michonne could just cut its brains in two with a single slash. I don't know if that's possible at all, but I wouldn't try it either. Logic dictates that the human skull is far more sturdy than that, so you'd need something massive and exceedingly sharp to pull it off. Maybe she could've pierced the head with a thrust of her Katana, that I could accept. Anything else I wouldn't. Perhaps the walker's skull degrade with time, making it weaker. I wasn't sure.

Jim and Glenn both took a smaller one handed axe, a bit like mine, but not as cool as mine though. Tehee.

"So, we've got weapons now. What does that change though? We still can't fight fifteen walkers at once." Andrea brought us back from our gawking.
