Forcing her eyes open and getting up, she found no one around but Danish on his bed, lying peacefully; she just had a nightmare. Luna stroked her chest to soothe her heart which throbbed irregularly against it.
Until an hour later, sleepiness failed to bring her to slumber; her eyes gaped at the darkness that surrounded her.
Her hand inadvertently touched the box above the pillow, the wedding gift from Xiou Feng, who had been like a little brother to her; her lips extended in a smile to think that a little brother of hers she met through an incident of abduction cared to send her this present as a form of his congratulating on her wedding.
Every cloud has a silver lining, the proverb says; even from bad tragedy she experienced, it held something good to offer because through that incident, she had a brother despite not by blood who apparently always kept her in his remembrance.
