Her Sacrifice
On a white-sheet bed lay a woman in a gray hospital robe with shut eyes; a quilt blanketed half of her unmoving body and the IV was stuck on one of her wrists.
Beside the bed, a man whose sad sleepy eyes just looked down on her had lingered there the whole night; regret and woes smeared all over his face.
