Chapter 5: Young Master Chad

"Sir, your breakfast is ready. Madam asked you to come out immediately." said a servant with a bowed head.

The door opened to reveal a well-dressed young man with a seductive perfume. Expressionless he walked past the maid and continued towards the dining hall

"Morning, Grandma." he saw a woman who had been waiting for him since earlier.

"Morning my dear. Come and sit down." he ordered.

"Do you sleep well?"

"Hmm."

"Are you going to college today?" he asked.

"I only take classes on Saturday and Sunday, I plan to go to the office today."

"Chad, you don't need to go to the office often. You're still young why don't you spend your time like other kids." said the woman with a sad face.

"No problem, Grandma. There are more important things than just having fun. Cusa entertainment will come for a survey in a few days, we really need this project to develop a hotel so I can't just relax."

"Okay that's what you want, after breakfast come to Grandma's room."

"All right, Grandma." replied Chad obediently.

On the large dining table there were only two plates served, one for the head of the house's mistress and one for the handsome young master's grandson.

After breakfast as ordered they went to the grandmother's study, they seriously talked privately until someone knocked on the door of the room.

"Sorry sir, the car you ordered is ready." said a young man with neat clothes.

"Thank you, then I'll go first Grandma." replied Chad.

"Be careful on the way."

Chad bowed his head slightly in respect of his grandmother, as did the young man who knocked on the door before they left.

"Manager Sanji!" called the madam suddenly.

"Yes madam."

"Please accompany Chad properly." he said with a smile.

"I understand." answered Manager Sanji.

Chad and his manager immediately got into the car which then drove away, when they arrived at the office all the employees who passed each other saluted. Arriving at his office Manager Sanji immediately gave the report he had prepared beforehand.

"Apart from all these reports I also have information about the Hermes Group." Manager Sanji said.

"Say!" Chad said expressionlessly.

"The CEO of that company has been replaced by a person named Hans, he is the son of Shigima Hermes who previously served as CEO."

"So?"

"Because he has just taken office, no one knows how his performance is going to be, but everyone has high hopes for him because when the company was held by his father, the company grew rapidly. If you look at his profile, he is indeed quite promising, it can be seen from how he was able to graduate from university prestigious with satisfactory grades."

"What about the projects they're working on?"

"For the time being the Hermes Group is expanding their scope, I heard they will be setting up a new hotel in an area."

"Find out where the location is and what the condition of the field is."

Manager Sanji bowed his head before he left Chad who then thought about his unfavorable fate.

Since he was small he has lived with his grandmother, whether from what age he never knows. But what he always remembers is the fairy tale about the Hermes Group that took away his happiness. If it weren't for the Hermes Group, maybe now he wouldn't feel lonely.

One day when little Chad asked why they only lived together, he wondered why he didn't have parents like the other children.

Years of seeking knowledge put aside the pleasures of the world in order to find out where his father is. While his peers were having fun or just enjoying their youth, all he did was spend his time reading books in the library and starting to become a CEO at his grandmother's company even when he was still at school.

"I will expose all the rottenness of Jack Hermes and punish him as severely as possible." he muttered with a look full of emotion.

It was getting late in the afternoon, Sanji's manager came to his room only to inform him that the car was ready and accompanied him back home, not a word was spoken while they were on their way home. Like the previous day, the young master didn't talk much, was silent with his thoughts that were unknown.

"Young master, we have arrived." said Sanji told.

"Thank you manager Sanji, you may go." Chad said before he got out of the car.

A servant saluted him as he entered the house, feeling tired from work making him want to quickly clean up and have dinner with his grandmother. But accidentally he saw a servant holding his photo and seemed to pay attention to the photo.

"What are you doing?"

"Eh."

Chad's sudden question startled the waiter to let go of the photo he was holding, shards of glass scattered on the floor making Chad's eyes stare intently at the waiter.

"Young masters, forgive me. I didn't do it on purpose." said the waiter was frightened.

"I'll clean up right now!"

"Stop!" Chad shouted making the waiter freeze.

Chad bent down to take a photo of himself posing with his grandmother, cleaning it of broken glass.

"How long have you been working here?" asked Chad coldly.

"I-I've only been a week, sir." replied the maid nervously.

"Go get your salary, I don't want to see your face again." said Chad.

"B-but master..."

"I said go!" Chad snapped stopping the maid's protest.

"Chad, what's going on?" asked the old madam who had come with several other maids.

"Grandma, look what the maid has done." replied Chad showing his photo that fell on the floor.

"Aeda! As a butler you should teach your men how to work in this house. Remember! I don't want this to happen again." said Chad coldly.

"I understand, sir. I'll take care of it right away." said Aeda the butler.

"Come on, Chad. You must be tired, go take a shower and then we'll have dinner." persuaded the old lady.

Chad didn't answer, he just nodded slowly and walked away followed by his grandmother while the maid he had just fired could only hold back his tears, as the butler Aeda told another maid to clean up the broken glass.

"Relax, young master is like that. He is most unhappy when someone disturbs his grandmother, even if it's just breaking a photo." said Aeda.

"But, young master has dismissed me."

"It's okay, I'll give you more money. Get a job elsewhere, hopefully you can find a better one out there."

"Working as a maid here is indeed a higher salary, but commensurate with the work. We can't make the slightest mistake, I heard that the Old Madam was a butler so of course she was very strict coupled with the cold nature of the young master who didn't like to get angry just because of trouble." small." said the maid who was cleaning up the broken glass.
