Gringotts and Diagon alley

Grandfather was joyous when I showed him the invitation to Hogwarts, but his expression quickly died down.

"I need to show you something. something that even I don't know of."

Newt was his real father in his eyes, so trust was there

"What is it."

"Stay at my house tonight, and we will go to Diagon Alley. there you will.... go to your mother's vault. your father doesn't know about this "vault". "

"Then how do you know about it?"

"She told me privately that there will be a "gift" to help you if one of her children inherits her disease." Newt sighed "Even I don't know what she was on about."

"Hm." Mylo sighed, before saying "Ok, let's go tomorrow then."

his grandfather's house was quite large, benefitting of a man that had great wealth once. his chauffeur packed some clothes for him while he and his grandfather enjoyed a hearty supper at the dining table

Wizard cuisine was different from muggles with strange magical food that can hop around. his grandfather, however, likes muggle food due to the time he spent in America. indeed, grandfather did enjoy his American food, especially his meat.

after grandma tina passed on, the newt spent time refining his cooking and cleaning skills, refining them to perfection.

he also seemed skilled at Russian cuisine, telling his grandson tales about how he chased a stranded Graphorn through the snowy regions of Russia.

it was time to go to bed.

it was a busy day tomorrow

---------------------------------------

"The three brothers." a whisper encased Mylo's dreams

"O' praise the deathly hallows"

_______________----

"Ah!" A scream came through Mylo's head as a fresh bead of sweat dripped down his head.

slowly getting up from the bed, he got dressed and walked down to his grandfather, who nodded

"Ready to go?"

Mylo gave a nod.

the chauffeur picked them up and then transported them to central London.

they lived on the outskirts of London, where it was a lot quieter than the busy town centre where muggles worked and communicated.

"Our destination is the leaky cauldron," Newt said to Mylo who nodded.

a bar that was responsible for letting the wizards into Diagon alley and blocking away muggles that aren't wizards.

"Good morning tom." Newt greeted the shop owner, tom, like an old friend.

"Ah, master newt? may I offer you a refreshment?"

"No thank you." Newt rudely walked past tom and entered the back of the leaky cauldron, where a large towering brick wall was shown

"What was it again? ah yes! 3 up and 2 to the left." Pulling out a fine-made wand, Newt quickly tapped the brick.

a doorway was revealed as the bricks collapsed.

"Welcome to Diagon alley, m'boy." Newt gave a smile, before saying "Let's go to your mother's vault first, and then we'll buy you your school supplies."

Gringotts Wizarding Bank was the second, no, 1st - no third sho- to be honest, nobody knows if olivanders or Gringotts came first. it doesn't matter though, does it?

hushed whispers surrounded Mylo's grandfather as he walked past the crowds of witches and wizards, young and old, and slowly made his way to Gringotts.

the building was intimidating, made from carved white marble and was inter-story.

what lies, however, was what was below.

thousands of vaults, which millions of galleons resided.

greed was a human temptation, yet nobody took the risk of trying to break in Gringotts. that would be a death wish served on a silver platter. who would dare break into the most guarded place in the world?

the hushed whispers came quietly when they walked into Gringotts, which seemed to have several charms and spells protecting the noise from the bustling outside from penetrating the inside and disturbing the goblin workers.

several neat lines of working desks and tables were lined up, with hideous creates operating the scales and the countless galleons on each desk

"Goblins." Newt gave a smile "One of the brightest creatures around."

each one turned and looked up at Newt, each giving a smile before looking back and vigorously working.

"Ah, I wrote a book about them. a plee for their title as "Humanoid second rates" to be destroyed and banned. some of these goblins are smarter than humans."

walking up to the head goblin, he turned around and looked at my grandfather

"Ah, Mr Scammander , good day to you." The goblins solemn stare suddenly became a smile.

"Indeed so." Newt returned back with a smile.

"My grandson here is to access his mother's savings and inheritance."

"I see." The goblin replied, "Have you got a key, Mr Scamander?"

a pure black key was presented

"Wonderful. please follow a goblin." It seemed he treated Grandfather with more respect than other customers.

a goblin escorted the duo into a basement, where a minecart was shown.

"Please get in the minecart." The goblin said, "make sure to keep your legs in the minecart and make sure that under no circumstances, you stand up or attempt to jump out." His Montone and boring voice revealed that he had done this job for... quite a while.

the minecart whizzed down the Railtrack as a steep vertical drop.

the minecart took 5 minutes before it stopped

"Vault 29,624." The goblin said, before saying "Latern and key please."

Newt passed him the latter and the key, as the inner workings of Gringotts being shown.

the key was placed in a rather normal looking keyhole, and the goblin traced his fingers alongside the door.

it suddenly opened in a mechanical whirl, as the goblin looked away

"Spend as much time as you wish."

slowly walking into the vault, several possession lay down on the cold damp floor.

these possessions hadn't been touched for years which makes a lot of sense.

11 years or more.

it was time to see this "Legacy" of mothers.
