Just like that, all the Tailed Beasts slowly agreed.
They all turned their bodies and one-tailed from each one of the Tailed Beasts touched Araki's body, and the transfer of chakra started.
At this moment, Araki was within his mindscape. There… He saw the chakra of all the Nine Bijuus combining at an incredible rate and transforming into the ten-tails chakra.
At that moment, he felt an otherworldly power controlling a bit of his chakra and combining it with a bit of Ten-Tails Chakra.
Araki wasn't startled. He knew what was happening and spoke with an emotionless voice, "So, you have finally appeared…"
Sure enough, an old man with Rinnegan in his eyes and Rinne-Sharingan open as his third eye which was situated in the middle of his forehead appeared.
He held a black staff and stared at Araki with an impassive look on his face. It was unknown what he was thinking.
He spoke with an elderly voice, "Your words suggest that you knew about me…"
"Ever since I absorbed Kaguya's memories… I got the feeling that someone was observing me from someplace. I guess it was most probably you since if you have inherited the Otsutsuki Blood from Kaguya and mastered the Rinne-Sharingan, you should have become an existence above life and death. It appeared that I was right, Sage of the Six Paths, or should I say, Otsutsuki Hagoromo." Araki's voice spat out the name of the Sage of the Six Paths.
"You absorbed my mother?" Hagoromo didn't conceal his surprise while staring at Araki, and then slowly nodded, "I see… That explains your Rinnegan…"
"Now then, speak what you have to say. I am a little busy here." Araki casually said to Hagoromo.
The Sage of the Six Paths remained quiet for some period before he spoke, "I have come to warn you… You are intervening with the destiny of the world far too much."
"I had been told that there would appear a day when all the Tailed Beast would place their trust in a human. It was the sage of the toads from Mount Myoboku. If I remember correctly, his name was Gamamaru." Araki remained quiet about words of the Sage of the Six Paths, he didn't understand how this toad was somehow related to all this. Still, he decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and stayed quiet.
"Gamamaru saw a vision far into the future where the Tailed Beasts would unite with a blue-eyed person, and with their assistance, he would lead the world to peace." The Sage of Six Paths paused, expecting some sort of comment from Araki.
Araki shrugged a little and didn't care much about this prophecy, "So? How are the hallucinations of an old toad related to me? As for peace? Fufufuhahaha… That was a good one…"
Hagoromo frowned upon hearing him say that and continued, "Your interference has already altered the course of destiny. It can no longer return to its original course. And what you are about to do will destroy the balance that had existed for so long…"
"Hoh… So, you know about my plan?" Araki stared at Hagoromo with a look of interest present in his eyes.
"The chakra you have gathered from all the Tailed Beasts… You are planning on using it together with your own chakra and forcefully fuse the Gedo Statue with your body. You want to ascend and become a god… A similar existence as my mother or myself." Hagoromo said with a hint of seriousness present in his eyes.
"Hmm… You are more or less right about that, Hagoromo. I will indeed be ascending to the level of God." Araki affirmed the thoughts of the Sage of the Six Paths.
This affirmation didn't seem the please the Sage of the Six Paths…
"However, I have no idea what you plan to do after you ascend and become a god. The power you hold will be far too great… Any sort of action from you will cause a great chain of consequences." Hagoromo said with a grave tone.
"Yes, I am aware of that."
"Your actions will decide whether the world would have peace, or it will fall into chaos again. What I want to know is your answer… Why are you acquiring such power?" Hagoromo asked Araki very seriously.
Upon facing the serious look on Hagoromo's face, Araki let out a sigh. This was going just the way he had anticipated.
"Let me ask you something Otsutsuki Hagoromo… Why is it necessary that I do something to create a peaceful or chaotic world? Why is it necessary that I take action with such thinking?" Araki asked Hagoromo with a serious look in his eyes.
"What do you mean why? Don't you wish for all strife to end? You will have the power to do so-" Before Hagoromo could speak any further, Araki cut him off.
"Tell me, is a rich man obligated to share his wealth with a poorer person?" Araki didn't expect an answer from Hagoromo.
And sure enough, Hagoromo didn't reply anything to him.
"No, he isn't obligated. Why so? Because he has worked for his wealth. If the wealth is hereditary, then that means his ancestors worked for this wealth. Now then, tell me, why should I use 'my' power to think of this shitty world?!" Araki raised his voice as he asked Hagoromo.
"Peace? It's a beautiful notion. Something that looks well on papers and melodious upon hearing. But are you aware of the sad reality? Humans, including me, cannot live in peace… They will always seek chaos like a mad animal. What happened to the peace that my grandfather created between the Five Great Villages? It was shattered without a second thought!"
Araki seemed to be on the rant as he continued, "Let's take my current possibilities. I can make all the villages stop fighting and make them sign an agreement. Will that end it all and bring peace? Perhaps until I am near my death, it will… But after that? I don't need to say about the results, right? And as for using force? That's even more foolish!"
Hagoromo looked at Araki and said with a frown on his face, "You have far too little faith in humanity. Do you truly believe that they are incapable of co-existing in peace?"
"Yes… I honestly believe so. And why are you asking me when you are already aware of it?" Araki said with a hint of disgust in his voice.
"After having sealed my mother, I have spread Ninshu all over the world to allow them to connect to each other on another level," Hagoromo informed Araki rather calmly.
"And yet we had clan wars until my grandfather's generations. Well, you can excuse yourself by saying that the battles between the Senju and Uchiha clan were because of the Black Zetsu's interference… But what of the other clans that have been formed?! Aren't they also the descendants of your 'disciples' who were spreading Ninshu? What is your excuse now?!" Araki asked, a little angry while staring at Hagoromo's face.
"…"
"Speechless, aren't you? I am also quite speechless. From Kaguya's memories, I know that the humans of that era were also just as greedy, just as foolish, and just as people who wanted conflict. The humans had no chakra, so they were fighting with sword, axe, bows or some other weapon. But what did the 'great' Sage of the Six Paths do? He spread power to them all, trying to 'connect' them…" A scowl appeared on Araki's face as he sarcastically spoke the words 'great' and 'connect."
"Were you trying to tell them that fighting with sword and bow was old-fashioned and they should throw Jutsus at each other from now?! Spreading chakra would lead to world peace?"
"You know what?! I CAN'T EVEN LAUGH AT SUCH A BAD JOKE!" Araki shouted at the Sage of the Six Paths.
"Is that so? But as I recall, no fighting occurred during my time. I believe you are far too radical in your beliefs, Senju Araki," The Sage of the Six Paths commented while staring at Araki.
"Not in your generation, then what about the next? Is this your idea of Peace? That it should occur for a generation or two, and once again, the world should fall into the same state of warfare?"
"You made a horrible error in spreading Ninshu, believing that humanity would use it to connect with each other. No matter what era, humans will always have the 7 deadly sins within them. As long as those sins are not removed from humans… They will always seek conflict."
At this moment, Hagoromo's eyes dropped as he said, "However, that being will no longer be called human…I see what you mean."
Araki continued speaking, "I do not want this power because of something as insignificant as peace or chaos… I simply want it to protect myself and my descendants from the threats out there…"
"Threats? What do you mean by threats?" Hagoromo was quite confused by Araki's words.
