Iwa and Kumo attacks

As Jiraiya was going to the Senju Clan Manor, he noticed that the Third Hokage had sent some ANBU after him.

He couldn't help but sigh out 'You really underestimate me, sensei. If you think mere ANBU's can follow me, I wouldn't have returned alive from the Land of Lightning.'

With that, he passed a tree and suddenly jumped down from there. The ANBU Members were a little startled when they saw Jiraiya jumping down from that branch.

After that, he seems to have started running in another direction. Some of them were curious about this direction, but one of them had an idea… This was the same direction as the hot springs of Konoha.

It went without saying that this ANBU member was a woman. And almost all the women ANBU members were aware of why Jiraiya would go to a Hot spring.

To peep obviously and to gather material for his pervy novel.

As the ANBU members changed their direction, they failed to notice a man walking in the direction of the Senju Clan Manor casually.

It was naturally Jiraiya. The one they were pursuing was simply a clone.

He observed his surroundings for some time and noticed that the ANBU members weren't pursuing him any longer. With that, he no longer hid his speed and rushed towards the Senju Clan Manor.

As he was running towards the Senju Clan Manor, he passed through some of the training grounds under the Senju Clan.

Although he had been moving at a quick speed, he was still mindful of his surrounding. And as he was passing through the training ground, he saw some familiar heads.

Unknowingly a smile appeared on his face…

He wasn't the only one who noticed them, though.

The Blue Haired girl looked towards Jiraiya, and her eyes widened with some surprise, she called out, "Jiraiya-sensei?!"

This caught the attention of her friends as well. Especially the orange-haired kid.

He looked quite excited upon seeing Jiraiya and rushed at him while shouting, "Jiraiya-sensei, here! I am here!"

"You brats! Stay quiet!" Although Jiraiya wanted to say it in a stern tone, a voice choked with emotion was released from his throat.

With that, Jiraiya decided to have his own reunion with Nagao, Yahiko, and Konan first before going over to meet Araki.

At the same time, near Konoha and Iwa's borders, Hatake Kakashi had his first kill. For a young child, this was a crucial moment.

At this moment, they would fall in confusion, not understanding just why they were doing this. However, Kakashi had no luxury to ask this question to himself.

Right after he had his first kill, he was forced to fight against another. Kakashi killed him with a kunai through his throat.

"My eternal rival, I heard that you are worried about your father, so I came to check up on you!" He said while showing off his muscles.

"Hah?" Kakashi had a sweatdrop behind his head as he stared at his self-proclaimed 'eternal rival.'

He didn't understand why his own father had such a high opinion of him. He even mentioned how Guy would be a good rival for Kakashi.

"I am not that worried about my father. He is really strong, after all. But…" Kakashi didn't continue ahead, speaking more would just be unwise.

At this time, Guy shrugged at his words and pointed his finger at him, "I challenge you! I will beat more shinobi the next time we go to a battlefield!"

"You will?" Although Kakashi seemed indifferent, a hint of spark did appear in his eyes.

He didn't know why but winning against Guy gave him an immensely proud feeling. If nothing else, this feeling alone would make him want to win.

And on the Kumo borders, the White Fang, Hatake Sakumo was in his tent, drinking a tea while staring at the map.

He was confused by Kumo… From what he had heard from the shinobi, Kumo had only been sending genin ranked shinobi; from the genin ranked shinobis they had captured, they found out that these were simply academy graduates. Only a few were chunin ranked within them. The reason they talked so quickly was because of Yamanaka Clan Members.

The Yamanaka Clan Members used their jutsu to get in their mind and attain the secrets known to these shinobi.

Sakumo understood why Konoha had enlisted mere academy graduates on the borders. It was mainly because of the lower number of shinobi as compared to the combined shinobi of Iwa and Kumo. This was the only way Konoha could fight against the numerical advantage held by these two great villages.

However, Sakumo couldn't understand why Kumo would use such a tactic. They were sending mere Academy graduates against Sakumo's men. Even the Third Raikage should be aware of the fact that he couldn't hope to land a blow on Sakumo's men like this.

And the Kumo's camp… It confused Sakumo as well.

From the shinobi they had captured, he found out that only 11 or so Jounins were sent to administer that Kumo's shinobi. Knowing that it was a war between two great villages, the Kumo side appeared to be far too weak right now.

Naturally, he sent this information to the Third Hokage.

After some time, Sakumo received an order from the Third Hokage.

"I will be appearing at your camp and take over control. Until then, keep a group of 20 or so Jounins prepared. You will lead this group and ambush the Kumo's camp."

Sakumo was shocked upon seeing this order. To think that the Third Hokage would appear at this battlefield. It appeared that he was more worried about Kumo than Iwa.

Moreover, the second part of the order let him sigh out. He somewhat guessed that the Third Hokage would give him this order.

And right as he came out of his tent, he went to lay down in an empty field. Soon enough, his wife joined him, she found him by his scent.

"Are you worried about Kakashi?" Sakumo didn't even need her to speak anything to know why she had come.

"Yes… Kakashi is just a small boy. Yet, the Hokage has forced children of his age to fight on the frontlines. I can't accept this decision." His wife answered, showing a hint of displeasure at the Hokage's decision.

"I can't say I am happy with the decision, but I can understand the situation. And don't worry about Kakashi, I will be dealing with matters here quickly and request Hokage to allow the two of us to go to Amegakure or maybe request for Kakashi here. We can personally protect Kakashi then…" Sakumo said to his wife with a small smile.

His wife was happy at his words. But she didn't ask about his mission. She was well aware that since he hadn't spoken about it, then that means it was going to be a secret mission. She could only hope that he returned victoriously.
