Cass ignored the question and said with a gentle smile, "I have the means to bring Miles back. I made a lot of smart investments; I'm my father's son after all."
Valerian's eyes softened, and he couldn't stop himself from smiling. Claudia and Isaiah looked at him hopefully, and Isaiah asked, "So you'll pay for Miles' clone?"
Cass nodded. "I'll lend you the money, but I want everything to be written down."
They both looked at Cass with tears in their eyes. Claudia said with a bright smile, "Of course, we'll sign whatever you want."
Cass quickly wrote down a document on his cell phone, and two minutes later, he handed it to Isaiah and said, "You just have to sign. I wrote that you'll reimburse me $500 every month."
Isaiah took the cell phone and immediately signed it, then handed it to Claudia, who signed it. She handed back the cell phone to Cass and asked, "Can you please wire the money now so we can do the procedure today?"
