"You're not taking my plans, end of discussion," Eden said.
"I'll tell dad you're not helping me like you promised," Lily's saccharine voice made Eden's annoyance rise.
"I don't give a shit Lily, if you have nothing more to say get out of my room," Eden replied in a tone just as sweet.
Lily's features morphed into one of confusion, then anger at the fact that her sister hadn't given in like she usually would.
"Why are you doing this to me? It's not fair," Lily whined stomping her food on the tiles of Eden's room.
"To you? You think I'm doing this to you?" Eden's lips curved into a smile. She wouldn't allow her disbelief to show. "You're genuinely hilarious,"
Lily watched the smile grow on her face, like Eden was keeping a secret she wasn't allowed to know.
"Run off and tell dad, I don't want to deal with you any more," Eden finally said, still rubbing her sore feet.
Lily said nothing only storming out of the room no doubt angry Eden wouldn't give into her demands. Eden shook her head before walking back to the corkboard.
No one else knew it's true secret.
She grabbed the frame, lifting the wooden rectangle off and setting it on the floor. In the wall was a hollow she filled with mason jars of cold, hard, cash.
"This was supposed to be a cash infusion for the company but oh well, plans change,"
By her estimate there would have been 20,000 Korva (KRV) just enough for her to move out and figure out her next course of action.
"First I need an apartment, not a fancy one, something cheap I can lease for 6 months while I start small," Eden said taking the jars out of the wall and placing them on her workshop table.
It was only a matter of time before her father would come to speak to her about her behaviour towards Lily.
Eden huffed, feeling bitterness bubble from within her heart.
If they thought they could just screw her over without any repercussions they had to be joking. This time around, she would let them face the consequences of their own actions.
After moving them all, she hung the corkboard back on the wall to cover the space, then began taking down the vision board she had prepped.
It was one big collage of images held together by tape of varying ages. It was practically falling apart, but Eden had to get all of it into a notebook before the sharks came knocking.
She pulled open a workshop drawer full of doll parts and laughed at the fact that it startled her, she would need to pack all her supplies as well.
"This is not going to be easy," Eden said resting her hands on her waist. "And it's even less easy with this dress on!"
She took off the designer dress, resting it back on the hooks it had come on. In the mirror she looked at herself. Chub spilling out from her arms and stomach.
Even make up couldn't cover up her double chin.
Eden shook her head, this was not the time to feel sorry for herself. She was a beautiful woman, a strong one and what did those types of women do? They put in the work.
She strapped on her overalls and began the work of making a scrap book out of her vision board.

"Bang,"
"Bang,"
"Bang,"
It was almost 3 am when there was a knock on her door, Eden bolted up from her bed, not knowing when she had fallen asleep.
Eden rushed to the door thinking an emergency was unfolding, she pulled open the door to see her father standing there.
"Huh? Dad? Did something happen?" She asked in alarm, she was fully awake now at the prospect that something had befallen the Estate or worse the company.
Frederic pushed past her, letting Eden know there was no emergency, only a report from Lily about her refusal to corporate.
"Lily said something about some plans you wouldn't give her," Frederick said searching the workshop.
He was met with a clear desk and a bare wall as Eden had removed everything that would have given the space any personality at all. Especially her plans.
Eden folded her arms over her pajamas, still standing by the open door and watching as he searched.
"Oh is that all?" There was some humour in her tone. Eden yawned but refused to elaborate about the plans.
Frederick slammed his hand and the table in frustration, he pulled out the drawers finding them as empty as when the Eden had moved it into her room.
"Listen you stupid girl I don't have time to play any games,"
"Why would you want the plans of a stupid girl? If my plans are so stupid, tell Lily to come up with her vision for the company," Eden said.
Frederick stormed up to her raising his finger in a threating manner,
"I have no time for your bitterness Eden! Give me those plans so your sister can succeed," He yelled.
He looked into stony brown eyes that looked him up and down.
For once in his life Frederick felt judged, it was a cold feeling he didn't expect to come from his eldest daughter.
Eden's upper lip had subconsciously lifted in disgust as if she was seeing her father with new eyes.
The rose tinted glasses were off and it was not a pretty sight.
"Seems neither you or your daughter understand that her vision for the company is supposed to be her vision," Eden said, she moved past him and his finger, making her way back to her bed and got underneath the blankets.
"When you're done searching, close the door and turn off my lights please," Eden said slipping a sleep mask over her eyes.
She heard the door slam after a while signifying her father had left.
"What did I ever respect in him?" Eden said to herself. Tomorrow she would set about looking for a place to stay while she figured out how to start her small business.
