How Do You Know?

"Welcome to our after dinner entertainment. Bead work is a favorite of our royal family. I hope you find some joy in it." Crystalsa explained to Melaina as they took their seats at the table. Reever, his grand daughters and lady Rose sat quietly on their end of the table weaving beaded belts. The family nodded in greeting, but focused on eachother.

"It's wonderful, I look forward to learning something new." Melania replied her sharp eyes already working out what some of the tools were for on site. The more complex ones Kyera began to name.

"Kyera, why don't you and the girls make sister threads? I think you three could make a beautiful braid." Bryson suggested with a bit of a smirk. Kyera cast him a sneaky glance.

"Alright...let's try that. Now we each need to make a a strand that represents us, then duplicate it three times. When it's done we will each take one of each others strands and braid them. In the end we should have a lovely beaded band." Kyera explained and the girls began beading and talking till all three bands were complete. Melania marveled at the moment, but did not think too much about tomorrow. For now… she would enjoy the moment.

When the girls finished, there were three bracelets of purple for Kyera, silver for Lalia, and green for Melania were woven into lovely beaded bracelets. Kyera slid hers on.

"It is lovely." Melania marveled as she turned the beads in the light. The colors played off each other in the braid, shimmering beautifully. The leather cords were sturdy and the clasp fit nicely.

"Yes, it is. You three blend well together." The Matriarch offered.

"It is a rare color combination for a sister band as well. Mother where is Lilith and the girls? I am sure they would love to see Kyera. " Reever commented off handedly, only to receive a look from Rose.

"Lilith and her grand daughters had other plans for tonight. The opera I believe." Bryson offered, trying to sooth Kyera who had tensed at the mention of her cousins. "Sansor and Ramsey are patrolling the gates." He continued to explain the few people absent from the activity.

In the end, Kyera was the first to get tired, and slowly rose to her feet. "I am afraid the baby and I are tired and with a early rise, I must rest." Kyera offered apologetically. Crystalsa smiled and shook her head, her eyes filled with indulgence and love.

"Not at all deary, off to bed with you." Crystalsa replies and Kyera smiled kissing the older women's face.

"Good night girls, please feel free to enjoy yourselves. You can sleep in the carriage if need be." Kyera offers nodding before she turns to the door where Kan awaits. Kan smiled at her and nodded to the room before following her up stairs, Lazren at her other side.

"Was it successful, my Lady?" Lazren asked as she lead the way back toward her suite. Kyera nodded.

"Other than the near death of one of the Princesses it seems we all got pretty good kills and made it back alive. The baby and I fared well and honestly I'm exhausted. I think I need to avoid healing while pregnant." Kyera admitted with a bit of a sigh. That was going to be so much easier said than done.

"It is probably for the best." Lazren agreed, glad she came to that conclusion on her own.

"I don't know why you did something so foolish to begin with. Approaching a bear like that in your state." Kan rebuked her firmly. There was a certain form of anger in his voice that made Kyera flinch. She felt like a child being scolded by her brother again. Then realization dawned.

"How did you know I approached the ursa Superior?" Kyera asked looking at Kan out of the side of his eye. His expression didn't let on to his slip up.

"You said you had to heal it. How else would you have done so?" Kan fired back raising an eyebrow.
