V Awakens

V was out for three more days as her brain and the Relic were fighting each other until it stabilized when V woke up from her little coma.

"Where am I?" asks V herself holding her head feeling immeasurable pain coming from it.

"You are finally awake, at least one good news," says Viktor as he walked towards V before flashing light into her eyes.

The eyes were working as they should when Viktor says, "But that is the only good news I have for you, V."

"What do you mean, Vik?" asks V holding her head as Viktor looked at her seriously.

"What I mean is that the next one I will give you is bad, really really bad, V," says Viktor as he looked at V feeling pity.

"Come on it can't be that bad if I am still on your chair," says V trying to lift the mood.

"You are dying, V," says Viktor almost devastated to give this news to V as she lifts her body.

She was in disbelief as she looked at Viktor and she says thinking Viktor wanted to scare her a bit, "You can stop joking now, Vik. It isn't funny."

"I am not joking, V. You are going to die soon because of the damn Relic in your head," says Viktor as V tried to remember what happened before she ended up on the table.

"I remember that the box it was in got damaged. I had to put it in to make sure that the program on it wouldn't be deleted," says V remembering something way different from what Nesiara told Viktor before.

"I and Jackie reached the No-Tell Motel and we knocked on the door when we were welcomed by a gun which shot me and Jackie by surprise. Shit... Jackie... is he alright?" says V before leaning back down with Viktor's help.

"He is better than you. I had to remove a bullet out of your head with John assisting me. But still, the Relic is killing you and you need to find a way to remove it before your visitor takes over your body," says Viktor seriously as Nesiara and John arrived with Misty and Jackie.

"It seems we arrive in a bad moment," says Nesiara as Viktor shakes his hand.

"No, I was just done with explaining to V about her situation," says Viktor as he looked at the couple seriously.

"Jackie, you are alive. I was sure you were dead," says V seeing her partner and his girlfriend standing beside each other.

"Nesiara found me on the floor while DeShawn was dragging you away," says Jackie as he showed his wound that was on the neck.

"If she hadn't found me I would have been dead," says Jackie as Viktor walked towards his seat.

He could finally relax since V was awake as Nesiara looked at V for a moment to make sure that everything was alright before she says, "It would be the best if Jackie and Misty take you home. You need some real sleep after waking up from this coma."

"How long was I out?" asks V as they looked at her worried.

"You have been away from us for almost two weeks. Someone brought you in three days ago but you were still between life and death at the moment," says Misty in a worried tone when V felt pain trying to remember when John stops her.

"Not now. We can talk tomorrow about everything. Just get some rest for today. Let us worry about the rest tomorrow," says John as he lifts her from the table.

He carries her the stairs up to where a wheelchair was awaiting V. He places her into it before looking at Misty and Jackie who nod when Viktor comes up and gives Misty the Omega Blockers for V.

They then leave to get V to her apartment while John and Nesiara returned to Viktor who was looking at them seriously as they entered his clinic again.

"I know that you think that it was needed to alter their memories but it still feels wrong to not tell them the truth about what really happened to them," says Viktor displeasure with the couple.

"V is one of the heroes of this world. There are more heroes out there that haven't shown themselves yet. For example Jackie and Rogue. They are heroes of the present and past but V. She stands on a whole level over them," says Nesiara seriously as John takes a list out.

"We need to make sure that V doesn't die. And to do so we will need to upgrade her implants which I will modify before we implant them," says John handing the list over to Viktor.

John already studied the implants Viktor bought for them while sitting at home before. He learned a lot from them while taking them apart and putting them together again.

"It will cost you some money but I should be able to have those ready in a month," says Viktor when John flinches.

"I need them by tomorrow," says John putting the Chop on Viktor's desk before saying, "We are talking about V after all. I don't care how much money you waste it is to save our friend in the long run."

"You both really don't care about money," says Viktor knowing how much money the couple has.

"I will do it but before we implant those modified upgrades into her I need to test them to make sure they won't harm her," says Viktor as John agreed with him.

"Good then back to work," says Nesiara to both of them before the couple leaves Viktor's Clinic.

They walked the stairs up when the Demon Cat from earlier looked at them curiously. John petted her under the chin before placing some food on her plate. Then the couple disappears from there and appeared at home as John immediately closed himself inside the study to write down the theoretical part on paper.

The next day Nesiara went to get the implants and John went into the Time Chamber before he began with the arm upgrades taking them apart as he was combining them into one perfect masterpiece which would allow V to use the Gorilla Arms, Mantis Blades, Monowires, and the Projectile Launch System.

Once done he looked at the legs which would allow V to jump higher shortly as well as make her do a double jump in mid-air. After that, he began to work on the other implants for V which took him a month inside the Time Chamber before coming out holding masterpieces in his arms.

He returned home to find Nesiara cooking their meal when she sees that John really did it before saying, "V met with Rogue and Takemura today. It seems she is after Hellman while Jackie is helping Takemura going around the city trying to find some clues that could help them in the long run."

"Don't tell me that Jackie is going to kidnap Hanako with Takemura," says John seriously as Nesiara smiles at him.

"It could be but on the other hand," says Nesiara before showing John the newsfeed as she says, "The festival is around next month. And Hanako should be arriving next week."

"Then they must be doing something else," says John thinking what they could be looking into.

"They most likely are trying to find more information on Hellman and the Relic if you ask me," says Nesiara as she brings the food to the table.

"What about Rogue and her hole in the ceiling?" asks John as they haven't met her yet since a week before they made vacations in the Konpeki Plaza.

"She is most likely pissed off because of the hole you created in her club. But some magic should make her happy again," says Nesiara as they could fix it easily.

"About the other matter," says John as he brought out Johnny's body.

"Didn't we talk about this? He would go with Alt and V would leave NC for good," says Nesiara seriously as John sighs.

"How about we let Johnny decide when we present him this chance," says John as he wasn't about to let Johnny become someone's plaything behind the Blackwall.

"We don't know what is going on behind it. We should leave it alone and not meddle with it except we are forced to do so," says Nesiara as she didn't want to make enemies with beings that can take over their house without them noticing.

John took out his phone while sitting down at the table after storing the body and implants away. Nesiara puts the food on the table and she looks at John seriously making him put the phone away again.

"You can call Viktor later," says Nesiara as she sits down.

"You are right," says John as they begin to eat.

After eating John brought the implants to Viktor after informing him to make sure he didn't have a patient. Viktor looked at them and was surprised to see the arms Vincent created.

"How did you get everything inside those thin arms?" asks Viktor as he was curious but not surprised.

"You see the runes engraved on the inside. They created more space making it possible to store the Monowires and Mantis Blades," says John explaining it to Viktor as they went through the implants when Viktor looked at John seriously.

"You are trying to make V a superweapon or something similar?" asks Viktor as John smiles at him.

"Normally, we train the heroes of the world we go to but this world doesn't have Ki or any other energy except those implants so we have to cheat a bit and enchant the implants instead of just modifying them," says John as Viktor noticed that they were glowing in a strange light.

He thought they were glowing because of the runes but they were glowing because they are enchanted. He made sure that all of the implants would work as intended while disregarding the enchantments placed on them since he wasn't an expert in those matters.

"I will call V over later to implant those into her," says Viktor seeing that John and Nesiara were quite worried about V's well-being going to this length to make sure she survives what NC would throw at her.
