The House by the Lake

In the coming weeks, John and Nesiara were running rampage as one cleared a floor after the other while Nesiara was called the Money Queen by friends because she was hoarding all the money she could from killing monsters.

John was the solitary frontline until arriving floor 25 boss who he couldn't defeat alone as he had to wait for the people to catch up to him. But the people at the moment had other things on their minds.

Many people were leveling quite badly to follow his path as they get rapidly stronger but exhaust themselves too much doing so while those that make it slowly and surely were making a better job in reaching a higher level.

They formed the frontline as many saw the error message as funny thinking that John called himself Error in the game making some joke travel around the world made by one person only, Jack.

John and Nesiara visited him once a week to see how everything was going as the children were having hope when they saw the two that are known as the Lone Sword and Golden Spear visiting them.

"So you got stuck?" asks Jack as he was sitting behind a desk.

"Something like that. I'm just making time for now. If I rush everything people will burn out before they can catch up on the level they need to fight in the frontline that's why I made a pause and said that I will need help in defeating the next boss," says John as he and Nesiara were sitting across of Jack.

"How about you, Nesiara?" asks Jack looking at her.

"How about what?" asks Nesiara back.

"Don't you want to lend this old man some money," says Jack when John suddenly spewed what he was drinking.

"Don't even think about it old man. You can just materialize gold out of nowhere don't con our money out of her," says John as he wasn't believing that Jack would say that with a smile on his face.

"It was worth a try seeing your serious face make the one you just had is payment enough," says Jack as he was laughing at John's reaction.

"Wait I didn't need to send him money all those weeks," says Nesiara as she was taken by surprise as John looked seriously at Jack now.

"Hey see it as an investment. The money here isn't worth much once outside. I will repair Nesiara once you leave with real money," says Jack as he wasn't lying data wasn't real gold after all.

"I will remember it when we are done here," says Nesiara as she was eyeing Jack with fury.

"The anger of a woman when you take her money," says Jack as he has seen this stare far too many times.

"We should leave and hunt some more monster if we have to provide for the old man now too," says John as he stands up to walk out of the room.

"You should buy yourself a house if you can its better than to live in inns the whole time," says Jack as he took a book out and says, "There are some costly houses on the 22nd floor but they remind me at the house I had back with my family."

"You mean the family compound beside the lake," says John as he lived in the compound as houses were built around a lake in the forest.

"Yes, it started with four houses and it became a little compound later on," says Jack as Nesiara was now interested to see how the houses looked like on the 22nd floor.

"Let's go we can most likely purchase it with all the money we saved," says Nesiara curious about it as John looks at her.

"We will need a proxy to buy it before handing it over to us," says John explaining the problem they will have purchasing it.

"Asian could help us," says Nesiara as she called Asuna using Justice as they begin to have a little conversation.

"So when are you going back home?" asks Jack out of nowhere surprising John.

"What do you mean?" asks John as he had no clue.

"Oh come on you can open a portal to any world you visited with your sword don't tell me you didn't even try to open a portal back home," says Jack as John suddenly realized something and was facepalming.

"I never thought about that," says John as he never had that idea before.

"You should return once you have the time they will need help sooner or later after all," says Jack acting all premonition on John.

"What do you mean?" asks John confused.

"Thanos isn't the only one that can destroy the whole universe and with Doom running around they will need help," says Jack as John laughs.

"Doom is dead for years. He was killed by James long ago," says John informing Jack.

"Yes, your Doom might be dead but not the one I mean. The one I mean us far more dangerous," says Jack seriously as he stands up and suddenly for him and John turned dark and he continues, "We aren't the only ones that can travel other worlds. There are many beings that can do it freely without a problem. You know that Kara was from another world. What if I tell you that in another world Doom is the strongest being alive."

"So you are saying-" says John as he gets interrupted.

"Exactly he will go sooner or later to the place we once called home and destroy everything. Even your father and his siblings won't be able to stop him when he appears," says Jack as suddenly the darkness vanishes and Nesiara was shaking John around calling for him.

"Sorry about that Nesiara. I and John had a private conversation," says Jack as Nesiara looked at Jack angry for leaving her out.

"We should go Asuna will be waiting for us with Kirito in the area near the houses," says Nesiara as she dragged John behind her while saying, "See you next week."

"Until next week then," says Jack as both leave his office.

They pass the children and petted some heads of the children before leaving after giving them some pocket money.

"What were you talking about?" asks Nesiara curiously to know about it and John told her what Jack told him when she says, "Maybe we should go there next. We can't fight in two wars at the same time. We will have to choose either to help Ichigo and the others or your family it seems."

"Yes, but we need to get stronger before we get there," says John seriously since he didn't feel stronger than anyone of his family right now and with Jack telling him about Doom being so overpowered he was feeling quite helpless.

"Don't worry the two of us together should be able to deal with everything," says Nesiara trying to cheer John up as the moved to get to the 22nd floor.

Once they arrived they found Kirito and Asuna in the area the houses were and John says, "The atmosphere is almost like my former home. I like the calm around here."

"That must be because there are almost no monsters around this floor and it's more of a tourist place than really a place to live because of the prize for the houses around here," says Asuna as she got the money from Nesiara and she bought it and handed over the rights to Nesiara.

"How is the leveling going?" asks John as he looked at both.

"We are doing fine slow and steady as you told us. How is the front doing?" says Kirito as John didn't have a good aura around him.

"It's fine, I made a pause because many people try to catch up as fast as possible and are exhausting themselves. They aren't any help that way but a border like that Heathcliff. He came out of nowhere and follows me wherever I go," says John as Kirito looked confused at John who continues, "He is a guy that wears a white and red uniform. He can't be missed since he is trying to create a guild that isn't successful at the moment. But I hope he is if not I will have to clear the game and that will take me decades that you don't have."

"Decades?" asks Asuna as she listened to what John said.

"Yes, even with Nesiara it would take us decades to finish the game if not some guilds begin to form. It's good that the Army is running around but they are a corrupt and I already told them twice to stop it. If not it won't be my hand they will force but the one they try to steal from and he is a scary person no one wants to offend. Then we have some little orange guilds that are quite good at hiding if Fang was around they would most likely be dead by now."

John's eyes were cold making Asuna, as well as Kirito, feel uneasy since they never killed someone and Kirito asks, "How can you even think of killing some-"

"Because if I don't kill them many more will be their victims. There is a saying in my family "With great power comes great responsibility." my family has dirtied their hands with blood for a long time so others could keep them clean. I don't tell you to kill them but don't tell me what to do Kirito. I have seen far more things than you can possibly imagine," says John as he looked at Kirito seriously making Kirito back off out of fear from looking into John's eyes that were even colder right now.

Nesiara stepped in and says, "Now what he said is true Kirito. Sometimes it is better to kill off your enemies so it doesn't bite you back in the future. My family is a military family if I'm honest with you both and we are trained from small to fight and kill our enemy. Even if I wasn't really trained the same way my father was trained but still I was trained to become a monster that couldn't be threatened with. My whole family consists of monsters that could destroy their world if they aren't careful enough."

This shocked them even more when Asuna asks, "Why are you this weak then?"

"That's is because our powers are sealed. We can't use any of our powers in this world or it wouldn't be a challenge for us said the person that send us here," says Nesiara as she entered her new house and says, "How about you enter and I tell you both the whole story behind why we are here."

As the four enter the cabin and begin to talk not knowing that two people were watching them.
