Serious Conversation

The next day Vergil and his family left for Fortuna again. Dante was there to say goodbye to his brother before Nesiara, Kalina, and Trish left to buy the necessities which Trish needed.

Dante stayed behind with John keeping him company as John sat down on the couch while turning on the TV when a show he used to watch was running at the moment.

"You seem troubled," says John to Dante who was sitting beside him.

"Is it because of what I said yesterday?" asks John as he turned to Dante.

"Maybe a little," says Dante before he utters a sigh from himself while saying, "Maybe more than a little."

He leans back into the couch before saying, "I just can't see myself raising a child."

John chuckled for a moment before saying, "I didn't see myself like this either when I started my relationship with Nesiara."

He leans back as well before he says, "*sighs* I was a cold man back then and Nesiara was like the sun which could melt my heart on some occasions."

"But that didn't change my mentality which was to finish my mission as fast as possible even if I have to sacrifice something in the process of it," says John being calm about his past as he made his peace with it.

"You aren't the same but at the same time you are," says John as he turns to Dante and continues, "You are reckless and don't want to take responsibility because you are afraid that the same thing could happen to the person you tie yourself to. That's why you are fine with us being so close to you since we can deal with demons."

"That is one of the reasons," says Dante wanting to joke when John gives him a fake smile.

"You protect yourself with sarcasm and jokes to avoid uncomfortable situations like this one. But you need to change, neither your father nor mother wants you to live a solitary life," says John when he sighs again.

"But we should get back to the story," says John thinking about where he left off.

"You were talking about that it didn't change your mentality," says Dante reminding John where he was.

"Right, it didn't change my mentality. It didn't change until we found Yui our first daughter," says John as he looked at his hands.

"I almost killed her thinking that she could be dangerous but Nesiara stopped me. She took Yui with her into our house and we had to treat her against a cold she caught.

I was still awake sitting at the table thinking about what I did wrong when Yui walked towards me holding her belly when I told her to sit down while I warmed up her food..." says John as he stopped because he felt a tear run down his cheek.

"What happened?" asks Dante now interested not noticing that the women returned from their shopping trip when Nesiara sneaks around with them in the hall as they were listening in on the conversation.

"I began feeding her and she suddenly called me Dad with such an innocent smile that it melted my cold heart. Also, it made Yui my favorite among all of my children even if I love them all. If something were to happen to her I might lose myself," says John as everyone could feel that the last sentence was cold and Nesiara was reminded of the old John for a moment.

"But let me tell you this. A child can change your life in a snap," says John snapping his fingers before he continues, "You always want them to be happy even if it hurts you. Giving my daughters away to the person they love is the hardest thing I have ever done. It even topples the feeling of helplessness I had when I was younger."

"Just hearing you makes me want to abandon that child right away," says Dante as he looked at the ceiling before uttering a sigh from himself.

"What if she gets scared after finding out about our world," says Dante as he felt a bit scared that the child might fear him after knowing who or better said what he is.

"Children are quite innocent they don't really care that much about what you are as long as they feel secure and protect beside you. It is almost like an instinct that tells them that they are safe but that is only the first step of a parent," says John as he looks at the door frame of the living room.

"Aren't I right, Nesiara," says John knowing that they already returned from shopping as Nesiara entered the living room with the other two.

"It seemed to be an important moment so we didn't want to interrupt your monologue on how children can change a person," says Nesiara as she takes one of the stools at the table and moves it to sit down.

"Did you have fun?" asks John as Nesiara smiles at him while the other did the same as Nesiara.

"Trish has a unique taste in fashion if I have to say it," says Nesiara as Trish didn't care about what they thought about her style.

"Well, I don't think it can be stranger than Bran's taste in fashion," says John as Bran would run half-naked around if you left him alone while wearing only shorts.

"Well, no one can beat Bran in weird taste. I remember when he was in the time chamber he would run in his boxers rejecting any clothes until we left the time chamber to get them to meet their siblings for the first time," says Nesiara as she laughed remembering how difficult it was to clothes Bran.

In the meantime in New York, Nora was laying on a table while her grandmother Fiona was beside her with Mary.

"We are almost done, Nora. Adam just needs to insert the inseminated egg back inside of you and you should be able to carry a child that shares both of your DNA," says Fiona as she was looking at a tablet that is showing Nora's vitals.

"It is good that you are carrying the child. Just remembering how difficult it is for a not Parker to carry a biological weapon inside of them. I was blessed with a normal child while my sister-in-law went through pain when she gave birth to her two children," says Fiona as she smiled at her grandchild.

Adam was ready to place it inside as Nora spread her legs before Adam used the vaginal speculum to open her vaginal canal before placing the egg inside.

"And with this, you are officially pregnant," says Adam as he takes the vaginal speculum out of his granddaughter.

"But you still should take it easy and relax for the next few weeks until it shows physically or you could have a miscarriage," says Adam warning them so Nora takes it easy from now on.

"If you need a quiet place you can come to the Parker Compound. Felicia would definitely love to have you around and we as well," says Fiona knowing that staying beside Nesiara and John, Nora wouldn't be able to stay relaxed since their quest is far too taxing for a woman that is trying to get a child.

"We will stay with our parents if it really should be tasking for me I will go to the Parker Compound and stay there until it is born," says Nora as she wouldn't want to leave her parents alone but if it would endanger her unborn child she might need another place to stay.

"Just keep it in mind," says Fiona as Adams helps Nora sit up on the table she was on.

"If you return to Redgrave City you should use a car and not fly," says Adam as he pulled out some car keys from his white coat handing over the key to Mary.

"We can't accept that," says Mary a bit nervous as Fiona smiled at her warmly while Adam seemed cold and direct.

"Do you know how much wealth we have accumulated over the years? Normally everything would have belonged to John but he doesn't need it since he has his own wealth," says Adam as he was quite direct about them being wealthy enough to throw away money as if it is nothing.

"What my husband wants to say is that we have enough money to spoil our grandchildren a little. We knew that you would come flying here so we thought that you would need a car to return back home," says Fiona as Adam turned away from them and walked out of the door leaving the three women behind.

"Did we say something wrong?" asks Nora seeing how Adam walked out on them.

"He is just a bit emotional. Adam isn't a person that likes to show his emotions in private or public. But he is happy that you came to us to help you. He was quite agitated to not screw it up working himself to the bones so your dreams can come true," says Fiona as Nora and Mary were quite touched by that.

"He must be on his way to his office right now, weeping in joy that everything went well," says Fiona as she hugs them.

"Maybe we should get the others to come here with their children so you can meet them once our child is born," says Nora as she liked the idea of bringing the whole family together so they can see their grandparents again.

"That has to wait until Bran is back," says Fiona as Nora was surprised that she knew about Bran.

"My mother-in-law informed us of what happened to him. We are waiting for your parents to get him back before we have a big family barbecue party," says Fiona as not only the Parker Family but also the Wyrm Family would be joining them.

Nora then changed into her clothes before they get together to the park house and Fiona brings them to a car that seemed to be a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 when Mary opens the car and Fiona asks, "You have a transformer, right?"

Nora nods forgetting about that for a moment when suddenly the display moved forward revealing something behind it when Fiona takes Kate from Nora's wrist and places her in it before the display closes again.

Kate's face now appeared on the display and Fiona says, "Jack bought off Ford because he loved their cars. After that, he began to experiment around. Adam finally completed the experiment and thought that it would be great to gift it to you.

This is an upgrade for your transformer which makes it faster and stronger than before. You will need a protector beside Mary after all."

Nora gave Fiona a long hug which Fiona returned before Mary enters the car sitting on the driver's seat and Nora follows her on the passenger's seat. They drive off while Fiona waved at them sending them off.
