Chapter 85

"You're doing wonderful," Margaret complimented Amelia. She thought Amelia needed to hear it more often. For someone who didn't have strong backing in the castle, Amelia had done well for herself. Margaret couldn't think of anyone else in Amelia's position who would have been able to kill the king and get away with it.

Amelia had also managed to have Killian Bune like her. Killian calling Margaret intriguing was far different from how he viewed Amelia. Margaret was barely able to convince him to not attack their land for a small time. Killian had ordered Blackwell guards to be killed around two weeks later. Amelia managed to stop him from killing all Blackwells. At least for now.

"The one thing I learned today is that I want to be like you, grandmother. You have so many interesting stories to tell. I feel a little bit better but I need to rest here for a moment," Amelia laid back down on Margaret's lap. To her, this was the safest place in the kingdom.
