Mumbling curses under his breath, Elias walked to where the Centaur had stood before scurrying away.

However, his frown became more pronounced with every step.

Even from his position that was still strides away, Elias could observe many trail marks.

His Aeter vision allowed him to enhance his hunting efficiency to a whole new level. Not only making him able to track his prey using their own lingering energy, but allowing him the enlightenment to his own faults.

These tracks that were left were because of the Aeter infused into the body in order to boost its functions. There was a time where Elias himself left such obvious tracks and suffered the consequences.

Hiding them was a chore, one Elias had to complete by either not using Aeter at all when not absolutely necessary, or, by Elias’s estimation based off of the fantasies of earth, completely reel in your Aeter.

An ability very common in earth’s fantasy novels that Elias could not master no matter how hard he tried.
