Away from Elias and the beasts, Jonas stood on the platforms of earth.
Bow at the ready, Elias frantically darted his aim left and right, looking for any sign of those deadly feathers.
‘Dammit! Why did he tell me to stay back?!’ Jonas’s mind slipped for a moment remembering a vestige of the recent past as he cursed due to the bad influence of Elias.
“Jonas, all you have to do is to survive. Don’t be a hero” Elias’s voice echoed in Jonas’s head.
The human’s scarred face and matted hair remained firmly stuck in Jonas’s mind along with the expressionless visage of Elias.
‘Don’t take me lightly!’
Jonas held his bow with a tighter grip as the faint trace of veins on his arms became more and more pronounced. Clenching his jaw and sharpening his sight, Elias turned all of his emotions into a concentrated fuel for his next act.
‘I got this, I’ll show you!’
Burning with conviction, Jonas felt power fill his chest.
