Chapter 7: Academy Classes

The whole classroom that was originally silent, took a drastic turn as everyone plunged into confusion, disregarding the whole ‹no talking rule› that was just given, kids started voicing out their thoughts.

[But sir it's just the first da–] a student confidently stood up object

But a flying object quickly made it to her forehead

*WOSHH!*

*PAH!!*

[ Arghhh! My head!!]

[ Are you deaf! What did I just say about talking without permission] Sensei Masaji said with a frown on his face, but the frown deepened when he saw three other students prepared to stand up to voice their thoughts, immediately his hands blurred

*WOSH!!*

*PAH*

[ Arghh!]

*WOSH!!*

*PAH*

[Arghh!]

*WOSH!!*

*PAH*

[Arghhh! I was going to ask to use the bathroom! What kind of teac–]

*WOSH!!*

[ AWOOO!!]

Sensei Masaji took a look around the classroom to see who else wanted white chalk on their foreheads

He was however slightly surprised that a kid, seated in the front row, had quietly raised his hand up. The child was the young Orochimaru

Seeing a student raising his hands to ask a question instead of just standing up like his peers made Sensei Masaji slightly better, ' At least someone has common sense among them" dispute Sensei Masaji thoughts he still had a frown on his face when he said

[ Yes, what's your question?]

"Ah, yes–eh, well you see I simply wanted to ask if he are allowed to jot down during your class" Orochimaru stood up as he asked

[ I would say, you should listen first then jot down during your own time, anymore questions]

" None for now thank you" Orochimaru said with a smile as he sat down

[ Now with that out of the way let's begin] Sensei Masaji said as he scanned the classroom for interruptions one last time.

[ Now, before we start with our main topic we will talk about two fundamental things ] Sensei Masaji said as he looked around and made sure everyone was following.

[ The first and most basic topic is Chakra. Now what is Chakra? Chakra is simply an energy that every living thing has, a kind of life source you may call it. But if you asked me, at the end of the day it's nothing but a tool, a tool used for different things, it's as simple as that]

Sensei Masaji then turned to the black board and drew a quick sketch of the human body with a white chalk then stared back at his students.

[ The Chakra is believed to be located below the navel, if that's not clear just know it's basically below your stomach, now, the reason why I said it is believed to be located there is because except for special cases one cannot see Chakra, but those that have felt it all said they felt warmth below the navel. Now to speed things along, just know that Chakra needs to follow a path in order to be used, and yes these paths are the Chakra paths that were recently opened for you guys and that warm feeling you felt was Chakra, their are hundreds of Chakra paths meaning their are hundreds of ways to use Chakra… but take notes although their are hundreds of Chakra paths there are somethings we call major Chakra paths, but that's for later] Sensei Masaji took a pause and made sure everyone was still following.

[ Alright, now if remember I said their are two fundamental things–] Sensei Masaji had to interrupt himself when a student raised his hands.

[ Yes, what is it? If it's a question then wait till after I'm done, they'll be time for that later] Sensei Masaji said with a frown.

[ No it's not that sir, eh… may I use the bathroom] the kid said

Sensei Masaji narrowed his eyes at the child that had white chalk stain on his forehead and vaguely remembered the kid said something about that.

[ Fine go, but I'm not going to stop because of you. Anyone else that wants to go, then go now, you can meet me at the end of the class for anything that you missed] Sensei Masaji said and some other students stood up and excused themselves.

[ Now where was I? Ah! Yes, the second fundamental topic are Jutsu's, some of you may have heard of it while for those that haven't, a Jutsu is a way of using Chakra that brings about effects, you can call it a method or a technique, but at the end of the day it's just the use of Chakra… specifically through the Chakra paths or pathways]

[ Now then as we are reaching our main topic let's wait for the others first] Sensei Masaji said as he waited until the classroom was full again, not long after he continued

[ Jutsu's can be split into three basic with a few subcategories. The basics are Taijutsu, Genjutsu and finally Ninjutsu, we will only be going into Ninjutsu so open your ears wide for what I'm about to say... and no bathroom breaks] Sensei Masaji said with a serious face his already frowning face was frowning even more.

[ Since the class is about to end I'll make this quick. Ninjutsu is the use of Chakra that affects the surroundings, these effects comes in five basic forms, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Lightning, note although these are the basic there are others, but they're not for your level, make sure you remember that] Sensei Masaji took a pause before continuing

[Now you'll find out that each individuals have an affinity with at least one of these mentioned, this basically means that if you have Fire as your affinity then Ninjutsu's involving Fire will be easier for you to master when compared to learning the other basic affinities, but take note, a Fire Ninjutsu performed by a ninja with water affinity will usually be outclassed by a ninja with fire affinity when doing the same Jutsu, so usually it's advisable to stick to your affinity ] After Sensei Masaji said that he turned back to the black board and started writing.

[ Finally to end today's topic are the ways and means of performing Ninjutsu's, and the answer would be Hand Signs or Hand Seals…which ever one stick doesn't matter as so long as you can perform it. Their are exactly twelve hand signs used in Ninjutsu's or rather Jutsu's as a whole, these hand signs are intended to help a Shinobi in correctly gathering and shaping their chakra in order to perform any techniques. Imagine using a straw to drink water from a bottle, the water inside the bottle is your Chakra and chakra paths, the bottle itself is your body which contains the chakra and the straw serves the same purpose as your hand signs, which is basically allowing you an easier use of your chakra…or in this example, allowing you to easily drink the – Yes?] Sensei Masaji had to suspend his teaching when a student raised his hand

[ Eh, c–can I use the bathroom] the kid said with an embarrassed face

[ No more bathroom breaks, put your hands down] Sensei Masaji said without giving the kid a second look

[ But, but all this talk about water is–]

*WOSH!*

*PAC!!*

[ Arghhh!!] The kid held her forehead as tears threatened pour out.

At this point every students in classroom had the same thought, ' how many chalks those he have" but no one voiced out their thoughts.

[ Now then–]

*DING! DONG!*

[ Tck! Damn, it seems like we'll have to finish the class next time. Alright! Everyone head to the field for your combat practice!]

And with that everyone started heading to the field, all except one student.

It was a kid with long silk-like hair and piercing golden eyes, needless to say it was Orochimaru.

[ Huh? Is their something you need kid?] said Sensei Masaji with a raised eyebrow when he saw the student started walking towards him

[ Yes there is, actually, I was wondering if you can give me some tips for controlling my chakra, Oh! Yeah, and also a chakra affinity testing paper or at least where I can get them] Orochimaru said with excitement sparkling from his eyes.

[ Hmm] Sensei Masaji was looking at Orochimaru with a contemplating face, actually he had heard about Orochimaru as he had placed first in the entrance text, of cause it wasn't because of that excuse for a test that he was paying attention to him but because of the chakra expansion that happened during the opening of his Chakra paths, such a thing was not a normal occurrence, in fact, it has never happened before but disregarding such things Sensei Masaji said

[ Not now kid, the others are waiting for us, however, you can meet me after class if you really want to know] Sensei Masaji said as he started walking to the training field.

Orochimaru on the other hand was stuck in place talking to himself

[ I guess I got a bit too excited about starting Ninjutsu...should I just wait until they teach us or should I start practicing on my own, what do you think Orochi? Huh? Oh right, the combat class, totally forgot…alright, alright, I'm going, sheesh! Stop nagging in my ear] And so Orochimaru heads off to combat class while still whispering to himself from time to time.

_______{Orochimaru POV}_______

I get to the open field and see that there are way more students that were in my classroom.

" Are all these kids from the other classes" I said as I was looking around the field while walked towards Sensei Masaji who is standing in front of the gathering students I finally squeezed my way to the front of the crowd, I didn't want to miss anything by staying in the back.

[ Alright, alright, settle down] Sensei Masaji called out to the crowd, hearing his voice every student from my classroom stopped talking…but as for those from the other classes

*WOSH!!*

*PAC!*

*PAC!*

*PAC!*

*PAC!*

*PAC!PAC!...*

Continues hitting sounds of white chalk meeting forehead echoed through out the training field. By the time it had stopped, excluding my classmates and some other quiet student, everyone had white white chalk paint stuck on their foreheads. Of cause not everyone was quiet after receiving their makeover.

[Hey!!! You can't just throw things at us, we're–]

*WOSH!*

*PAC!*

[Arghh!! What kind of teach–]

*PAC!*

[Dammit! Stop throwing chal–]

*PAC!*

*PAC!*

*PAC!…*

WOW! I could count at least ten flying white chalk that blurred past my vision. At the end of it all the boys whole face looked like a white chalk, but what I found amazing was that he still wanted to say something. When the boy was about to speak up, Sensei Masaji magically brought out a white chalk and threateningly pointed it at the boy, the boy in turn shivered when he saw that and kept quiet with a resentful gaze. I looked back at Sensei Masaji and I could have sworn I saw a smile, but it was so faint that I thought I was imagining it, I looked back at the boy who still had the guts to be giving Sensei Masaji death glare and saw that on the scarf he was wearing was the famous Uchiha hand fan symbol.

' An Uchiha, why am I not surprised" but I brought my attention back to Sensei Masaji who was still had his arms crossed with a big frown on his face.

[ Alright now that I have your attention, if you look at my back you'll see several throwing kits on the floor] Sensei Masaji said prompting everyone to look behind him. There were grey pouches arranged on the floor.

[ Starting from those in front, each of you will take one pouch and walk towards my left, there you will see trees that have targets hung on them, pick one and wait for further instructions...by the way I expected this to be done with order...or else] Sensei Masaji said as raised his eyebrow and pointed at us with a white chalk.

'Okay now I'm sure I saw a smile" I start walking towards the closest pouch I could see

*CLANK!*

I picked it up only to hear various sounds of metals hitting each other from it. I looked inside the pouch and saw ten black colored metal shuriken and five kunia

" Cool!" I exclaimed in excitement as I realized I would actually be learning something useful.

[Stop wasting time Orochimaru! Get to your target] When I heard Sensei Masaji call out my name I immediately ran towards one of the unoccupied tree target, ' I haven't experienced Sensei Masaji chalk flick yet, so let's keep it that way!!"

I found a free tree and quickly stood in front of it. As I waited for further instructions I heard a commotion going on near me.

[Ahhh!! You pervert! What do you think you're doing] I heard a girl scream out loud, I quickly looked over but already the girl was taking action.

*PA!!!*

A resounding slap echoed through the training field.I saw a girl, wearing a flower patterned gown, slapped the day light out out of a boy who was squatting close to her.

The boy had pure white spikey hair that almost reached his shoulders, with a slightly tanned skin complexion, he had black eyes and red line markings running down from his eyes across his cheeks and stopping right about his nose region.

' This dude looks familiar… but where have I seen him" I couldn't place my finger on it.

The boy in question stood up like nothing happened, despite having a red hand print on his face, he looked like he wasn't bothered by this fact and said with a straight face.

[ What's the problem?? I was just looking for the necklace that happened to drop under your skirt...by the way black was a nice choice ] he said that with a flushed face and a big grin as he gave her a thumbs up.

[ Ahgg! You pervert!!!]

*PAC*

The girl in response, screamed in frustration at the lack of shame and gave the white haired boy a big slap, she then left to find another tree, preferably one with less perverts.

The girl whose tree target was originally on my right had left, leaving behind a pervert with a red hand print on both his cheeks. The pervert looked at me and said

[ Is this tree free?] He said as he pointed to the tree by my right

' OF CAUSE IT IS!! You just chased away its original owner!" I was baffled by this dude's thick face, acting like nothing happened. Seeing as he was still waiting for an answer I couldn't be bothered with this idiot.

" Do whatever you want" I said immediately refocusing on Sensei Masaji and waiting for his instructions

[ Hey, what's your name?] I heard the pervert call out to me

' What does he want now" I thought, I wanted to give a straight answer to bring the conversation to a end

" My name is Orochimaru Yasha"

[ Cool! My name names Jiraiya, it's nice to meet you]
