The terrific gaze

Mei Wei went to the living room to meet his so-called uncle Melvin.

Melvin Evans was not Mei Wei's uncle but Mei Wang's dear friend or rather his sidekick. He was always acting as his lackey since they were in high school along with his twin brother, Kevin Evans. They were Mei Wang's partner in every crime.

But he has not visited in the last 1.5 years. He was abroad, but nobody knew in which country he went and it was not like Mei Wei cared.

When Mei Wei saw him, Melvin was sitting in the living room, talking and laughing with Mei Wang. Seeing Mei Wei, he stood up, went to Mei Wei and said, "Oh! Mei Wei, long time no see, my boy! Uncle has just returned from your birthday celebration." He extended his hand.

Mei Wei shook his hand and said formally, "It's good to see you uncle. I hope you enjoy the party."

Melvin responded, "Of course, I will. I heard many new beauties are coming this year," and started laughing loudly.

Then his gaze fell on Aman, standing behind Mei Wei, he looked at him interestingly and said, while trying to touch his face, "Who is this beauty, that I haven't seen?"

But before his hand could touch Aman's face Mei Wei blocked his hand. He glared at both Melvin and Mei Wang. Then Mei Wang's voice came from behind, "This is the caretaker appointed by that old man. And cut this crap, you will see many more good-looking people tomorrow. No need to touch a servant. We have standards."

Mei Wei retorted, "Aman is not a servant but my ONLY family."

"Whatever", Mei Wang said non-interestingly.

At night Mei Wei was looking at his gift. He still remembered when he gave Aman a beautiful chain with an olive-shaped diamond pendant as his birthday present. The chain was simple and elegant.

When he asked Aman about his gift Aman apologized and told him that he forgot. Hearing this, Mei Wei was not sad but rather happy because now he could ask Aman for the gift he wanted. Before Aman could say anything else, he hurriedly asked.

He wished for Aman, "Aman I don't want any gifts from you, just promise me that you will always stay with me." Aman thought for a moment. Mei Wei felt dejected seeing that Aman seemed reluctant.

Seeing Mei Wei's dejected look Aman told him that the future was full of endless possibilities and a promise was not necessary. He will stay with him as long as Mei Wei would want him to.

However, after this Aman asked again, "My Prince, did you really think that I would forget about your birthday gift?"

As he said this, he presented Mei Wei with a beautiful bracelet. Mei Wei was looking at it now. It was a strange piece of jewellery with a blue diamond in the centre and small white diamonds around it with a silver chain. However, the strange thing was, that Mei Wei had never seen this type of chain or diamonds. Although the chain was silver-coloured it looked neither like silver nor platinum. It looked like there was something in those diamonds too. But no matter what, it was his first gift from Aman so he had already decided that it would always stay at his wrist.

The next day the party started at seven. Like usual there were rich, famous, and influential people from around the country. Each of them was wearing fancy face masks. It was this year's theme to arrange a Masquerade party. The cake was already cut and everybody was greeting Mei Wei and giving him presents and an awful amount of bouquets.

Alex was standing with his friends' group when one of his friends said, "Alex, look there! Your dream boy is still standing with that dead leg fool. Why don't you go there and invite him to come sit with us."

Alex answered, "No I know him, he will want to stay with that dead leg fool."

"Then why don't you ask him to dance with you, Mei Wei can't dance so he would have no other option but have to dance with you", another friend said. Alex liked this idea.

Alex went over to where Aman and Mei Wei were sitting, he said, "Aman, what are you doing here standing alone, aren't you bored?"

"I am not standing here alone Mr. Cooper, master Mei Wei is accompanying me and with him, I am certainly not bored", Aman said while maintaining a smile. Hearing this Mei Wei's heart moved.

Alex didn't feel happy after hearing that. He tried to persuade him once again, "But don't you think a party is incomplete without dance, but seeing master Mei Wei can't dance, you should dance with me instead." Both Mei Wei and Aman didn't like it but Aman still said smiling, "Who said my prince can't dance? He can dance very well. I'll show you now."

Mei Wei was a little worried, he didn't want to embarrass Aman in front of everyone. He hesitated, "Aman...." but Aman interrupted him, "My Prince, do you believe me?"

"More than myself", Mei Wei answered. Aman took him to the dance floor, soft music was playing, and seeing Mei Wei approaching, everybody cleared space for him.

Aman parked his wheelchair in the centre of the dance floor. Mei Wei looked at Aman. Aman first untied his tie. His tie was long, he held it in his left hand. Then he looked into Mei Wei's eyes, asking for permission. Mei Wei nodded his head.

Then Aman picked Mei Wei up and put Mei Wei's feet on his feet. Mei Wei put his hands on Aman's shoulders for support. After that, Aman tied up both of their waists with his necktie. They made the dancing position and started dancing together. Mei Wei remembered again why he loved this person very much.

Seeing this Alex gritted his teeth with jealousy. He couldn't why Aman couldn't like a good-looking man like him.

Mei Wei didn't like the noise and crowd so after the dance, Aman took him back to his room.

Melvin was sitting at the bar corner and was drinking, he was choosing tonight's entertainment for him.

His gaze was pointed at a slender figure, he was slightly drunk but not completely.

Due to the mask, he couldn't see that person's face, only his eyes and lips but with these details he had ascertained that this boy must be very good-looking. When he saw the boy going to the bathroom he followed him and hid himself in a room on the way back. After some time when he saw the boy was coming back, he held the boy from his arm and pulled him into the room. He said, "Baby, do you know how tempting you are?"

Suddenly the lights went out, Melvin groaned and then he heard a cold voice that sent chills down into Melvin's spine.

"I am very tempting. Am I not?"

Melvin looked up, but due to darkness, he couldn't see anything but only a pair of eyes.

However, this pair of eyes was not normal human eyes but blazing green with straight vertical black pupils. Melvin was scared to death and is now completely sober. He started stuttering, "You... you....you are still alive?! You are ba...back!!"

"Indeed I am back, Melvin! I am back for my revenge. For him. You have destroyed my life and now I will destroy yours."

Melvin started walking backwards and his head touched the door, suddenly he heard a knock on the door. Melvin hurriedly opened the door, there was Alex standing there he asked Melvin, "Hey! Mr Evans, have you seen Aman?"

"N...no... I haven't.....go....go away boy", Melvin stuttered.

"Oh! okay," Alex looked sideways and said, "There he is!" And went away. Melvin looked in the room, the lights were on now but nobody was in the room.

Melvin hurriedly got out of the room. In the banquet hall, he saw Mei Wang talking with some people, he got near him and said, "Please, excuse us."

He pulled Mei Wang into the nearest room. He closed the door, Mei Wang looked rather annoyed and said, "What sort of nonsense is this?"

"He...he is back! He has come back for his revenge. He will kill us, all of us. He is back. He is back!!"

Mei Wang shouted angrily, "What nonsense are you saying? Who is back? Who will kill us?"

Melvin Stuttered again, "He... that boy...1.5 years ago you... you remember, right? You remember what the villagers had told us about them!"

"He is back. I saw him, just now."

Mei Wang said impatiently, "You are drunk and may have hallucinated. He can't be back. Don't you remember, in what condition we left him?"

"Anyway, Stop your nonsense I have very important guests to attend. Wash your face with cold water and enjoy the party, don't bother me." He opened the door and went outside.

Melvin was still standing there muttering to himself, "Why don't you believe me? He really is back. I have seen him myself. Why don't you believe me?"

"I still remember his eyes…"
