The Origin

Zeno found himself in a vast hall, the roof made of stars, the floor of stone and the walls of clouds.

The view was truly breathtaking.

Zeno was stunned. After what he had been through in his ordeal, there were few things that could move him, and this was one of them.

Zeno silently invoked his status.

It was a lot to handle.

All the suffering and horror he'd been through in the first trial had finally paid off. Legendary origin. Anything above 4 stars was extremely valuable.

The Path of Ascension is apparently made up of 6 ranks.

The 3 mortal ranks : Mortal, Anima and Zenith.

The 2 superior ranks : Nexus and Saint.

And the pinnacle of humanity : Empyrean.

Origin, comprehension of the elements, abilities, weapons and techniques are rated from 1 to 6 stars.

People with 3-star origins were rare enough to be fought by various powers. The factions themselves were built around singular powers with 5 or 6 star origins. He had never heard of anyone acquiring a 7-star.

There weren't many 5-star weapons, techniques and treasures in the world, let alone 6-star... or 7-star. The same goes for the origin.

And yet, Zeno was given the impossible.

He smiles, overcome with joy.
