Demon Orcs

The creatures in front of Aiden were extremely large. They stood over 2 meters in height and were extremely buff.

'Orcs.' Aiden thought the second he looked at their faces. He had seen plenty of orcs in video games and anime and the creatures in front of him were definitely orcs.

Though they were a more demonized version of orcs.

Their skin was charcoal black and they had drawn red lines against their arm muscles. Two 3 inches long horns were coming out from the front of their bald heads as they stomped their feet on the ground while stuffing Tonpa meat in their faces.

'Damn, what the hell am I supposed to do with these three orcs? Maybe I should just leave.' Aiden thought that as he turned back to leave but the demon orcs suddenly turned their heads in Aiden's direction.

"And just when I decided to run, I got stuck with protagonist luck and now I can't run away." Aiden sighed as he took out both of the daggers and gripped them tightly.

The orcs started beating their chests as all three of them picked up their wooden clubs which had been resting on the ground.

"Slash!"

"Slash!"

Aiden used the skill twice as he swung both of his daggers horizontally. Two white slashes moved out of the daggers in an X shape and moved towards the troll on the right side.

*Roar!* The orc bellowed as he moved forward and swung his club at the incoming slashes.

The strike destroyed the club as Aiden became alert. He had been testing to see whether his slashes would be able to destroy the club or not and it seemed that they barely did any damage.

"Put ten points in intelligence." Aiden muttered as only 2 of his stat points remained.

The reason he put ten points in intelligence was because this would increase his elemental energy recovery speed and would also increase the total amount of elemental energy he had.

Elemental Energy: 245 / 250 ]

Aiden currently recovered 1 elemental energy per one and a half minute. The speed wasn't much and could also mean Aiden's downfall but he didn't have any other choice.

"Good thing I watched so many fantasy anime." He thought as all three orcs charged forward at him together.

"Shadow Manipulation." Aiden said and jumped into action as he started manipulating all the shadows that he could find.

It was this moment that he had trained this skill for. The shadows climbed over his legs as Aiden moved forward towards the orcs.

It looked as though the orcs had low intelligence since all of them were running together at once as the foot of the orc on the right suddenly got stuck in some roots and he fell on the ground.

He also brought the two other orcs down with him.

Aiden stopped and blinked as he couldn't believe his luck. Just after having a main character moment, his opponents were suddenly own on the ground.

"Slash."

"Slash."

Aiden muttered three times while smiling as three system notifications suddenly appeared in front of him.

"So killing monsters does give me exp." Aiden muttered as he saw the bodies of the orcs slowly rotting away before vanishing into thin air.

Aiden had read in a book that the dead bodies of monsters in this world vanished a few minutes after their death.

< Check your job screen host. > The system's voice suddenly rang in Aiden's ears as he shrugged and did what the system said.

"It finally moved!" Aiden suddenly seemed excited as he saw his job exp move up.

< After leveling up your job to level 1, you can unlock your skill tree host. > The system said as Aiden nodded.

'Is there a way for me to see my current exp and job exp after killing a monster?' Aiden asked the system since it would be troublesome to open his status and job screen again and again just to check the exp.

< I will do that host. Next time you kill a monster, you will see the exps alongside the exp notification. > The system replied as Aiden started his exploring of the forest.

He was hoping to find a pack of wolves with only two or three wolves or perhaps a deer since they were the only things he was willing to eat.

One more thing that he could do was to search for fruits but he had no way of finding out whether the fruits were poisonous or not.

Aiden suddenly heard the daily quest notification as he decided to complete his training one.

He started by doing sit-ups and quickly completed them.

"System skill?" Aiden asked in confusion as the skill panel opened in front of Aiden.

Aiden read with an expression but he suddenly narrowed his and stopped walking. Judging by how things were going, he had been receiving the right things at exactly the right time.

The timing was so perfect that he couldn't even call it a coincidence anymore.

"System, is there a feature like a beginner's guide or newbie mode, etc. that I am not aware of?" Aiden decided to ask the system about it.

< No host, there is nothing like it. You may not believe this, but your luck in this life is extremely good. The luck from your previous life was the polar opposite of this so don't compare the two of them. > The system replied as Aiden slowly nodded before walking forward.

Now that he had received his answer, it was time to hunt some monsters.
