How Long He Should Wait?

Lin Xiao Feng found Zhang Yu Han in the hotel's coffee house. 

They sat near the terrace as the place was much more private for them to talk.

Lin Xiao Feng drank a glass of water and watched his friend wave to the waiter to ask for the glass to be refilled. 

"I forgot to say this..." Zhang Yu Han paused to flash a smile. "Xiao Feng, congratulations."

While the boys were having fun teasing Lin Xiao Feng in the chat group, Zhang Yu Han chose to watch their exchange in silence.

Lin Xiao Feng smiled. "Thank you. I also want to thank you for helping me."

Zhang Yu Han raised the glass in his hand. "Don't mention it. We are brothers."

Lin Xiao Feng's expression turned gentler as he thought of his friendship with the other five boys. 

The six of them were from the same circle. They often played basketball together in high school and later became close. Lin Xiao Feng did not expect that their friendship would last for so long.

"The Pei family did not cause trouble for you, did they?" Lin Xiao Feng asked.

He remembered seeing Pei Zhi Yi's family and friends outside the hall before An Nuan decided to change the groom. As the wedding ceremony started, Lin Xiao Feng noticed that none of Pei Zhi Yi's friends and family were no longer around.

"They wanted to cause trouble but what can they do about it?" Zhang Yu Han chuckled. "This is my property. I asked the security to escort them out. Otherwise, I will call the police and report that they were trying to make trouble. Of course, they were not happy."

Zhang Yu Han remembered that Pei Zhi Yi's parents had tried to reach for their son until the last minute. However, that man did not pick up the phone.

Since he chose to leave, then he should not return.

When he realizes what he has missed, it will all be too late.

"You don't have to worry... I will deal with things on my side," Zhang Yu Han said. He took a few sips of drink before looking at Lin Xiao Feng again. "But that man and his family will definitely look for An Nuan later."

"I know." Lin Xiao Feng nodded. "I won't let them harm An Nuan again."

"And you... what are you planning to do after this? Have you talked to An Nuan?"

Lin Xiao Feng pursed his lips as he considered Zhang Yu Han's question. "We had a brief chat. I told her to go on a vacation with her friend and clear her mind. This marriage... I know that she was doing it all on an impulse. If she wants to change her mind when she returns... then, I will follow her request. If she is planning to stay... then, I will do my best."

Zhang Yu Han heaved a sigh as he thought of the things that Lin Xiao Feng was willing to do for An Nuan. "Your grandfather will double your punishment if you choose to separate after a few days of marriage."

Lin Xiao Feng merely smiled. 

He knew what he was going to face and was ready for everything.

Of course... Lin Xiao Feng would much prefer for An Nuan to continue and stay with him forever. He will do his best to convince An Nuan to stay with him.

"Xiao Feng, you are very silly." Zhang Yu Han heaved another sigh. "An Nuan did not know anything about this, right?"

"Don't tell her."

Zhang Yu Han rubbed the space between his brows as he guessed what Lin Xiao Feng was going to face after An Nuan left the country.

He made a mental note to talk to Qi Zheng and ask for his help later.

"If An Nuan decided to stay with me, then, that is good too," Lin Xiao Feng continued. "If she is willing, then, I am planning to take her to Capital City."

"That's good. At least the Pei family will not be able to reach for her when she is in Capital City."

The two chatted for a bit about Lin Xiao Feng's plan until his phone rang.

Lin Xiao Feng saw his mother's name on the screen and quickly picked up the phone.

The wedding banquet will start soon and everyone was looking for him.

Lin Xiao Feng told his mother that he would show up at the hall soon before ending the phone call.

"You should leave now," Zhang Yu Han said. "Don't let them wait."

"I know." Lin Xiao Feng was about to leave when he remembered another matter he wanted to ask his friend. "Yu Han, I have a question."

"Speak."

"How long did you wait before you started to pursue your wife?" 

Lin Xiao Feng knew that Zhang Yu Han's wife had just broken up with her boyfriend before Zhang Yu Han pursued her.

Now that An Nuan had broken up with Pei Zhi Yi, Lin Xiao Feng wanted to know how long he should wait before he could pursue her.

"Xiao Feng, every person is different," Zhang Yu Han said. "Some people took a long time to get over their previous relationship and some took a short time. When I started to pursue Qin Yao, it was not that long since she broke up with her ex. But you have to know that Qin Yao is a resolute person. Once she decided that it was over, she could cut off her feelings just like that."

His wife, Li Qin Yao took her time to cry over her relationship. Then, she stood up tall again and tossed whatever had happened to the back of her mind.

When he knew that his wife could be that resolute, Zhang Yu Han admired his wife. At the same time, he was scared of her. Later, he was very careful not to make a mistake.

He loved his wife very much and was not going to give her any chance to leave him.
