14 Seconds Battle With The Generals

Levi stood as normal as ever, although the shoulder of his red unzipped sweater, was a bit torn. His posture was always finesse.

While deferring for one of the generals to get closer, Levi maintained his gaze on them and spoke calmly, which virtually freaked Leon out, wondering how someone could be calm in the face of extinction.

"Run outside, run ten meters straight and take a Right turn, then move twenty, and a left then, remain on that track straight, till you see what makes you quit"

Leon delivered a subtle nod, yet, he was reluctant to flee without the professor. He disputed for a few minutes and ran out. But before he ran out, he grabbed the spear from the dead lizard, killed by Zar.

King Zar rectified his eyes on the lizard who checked the bush earlier and ordered him to bring back his prey, alive or dead. Levi let that lizard slip, he's foolish to begin with, such a demon can't kill a clever one unless the Leon kid is extra dumb.

'Surprise attack, timing, and prediction', thought Levi.

The Axe general bolted towards Levi, with a pressure that depleted the concrete carvings. As he lifted his axe, he pursued with a battle cry and lacerated Levi horizontally.

'I never miss', the general thought.

The general did not miss the target, however, Levi caught the tip of the axe firmly, with his left palm, suspending the humongous general in mid-air, yes, from this angle, Levi could see how black veins were forming at the forehead of the general, the applied power was no joke.

When Levi's foot fractured the lithosphere, just by standing and holding the axe, he recalled the method he formed.' Timing', thought Levi.

With a devious sinister smile, Levi clenched his fist, faster than the demon could realize, he united his punch against the diaphragm of the demon.

Baaam! Uurghh!

Blood soared some inches past Levi's face, the general's hold on the Axe forfeits, as he was mailed crashing into the wall at full speed, and everything appeared to happen within a nanosecond.

King Zar and the other general were examining the beaten one, who had collided against the cave wall, He didn't seem to be active, they couldn't tell though, since he didn't have any indications of life.

After a sharp seven-second stare and fright, the second general veered around to face Levi, however, when he spun, he saw Levi bolting his way with the axe held tight. Oh boy, he saw the devious terrifying sinister smile.

'Surprise', thought Levi, as one of the strategies came in handy again.

Slash! Thud!

With one gesture of the axe, Levi guillotined the second general, he bolted past the general and slashed vertically, resulting in the general's expiration, the head rolled down with blood, the hammer fell and the headless demon fell to his knees, before dropping completely.

King Zar was impressed, but a few tricks were not enough to gain his time to fight this puny Levi, he looked at Levi as no match. This wasn't enough to confirm Levi is indeed the lord Levi he knows.

The one he knows could have slain the generals with just one action, this one took two and a lot of duration, which he approximated to be fourteen seconds.

King Zar shook his head as a sign of, I'm not impressed a bit. He had no ink of dread, Zar modeled like the king he was, with a neutral utterance.

However, Levi placed the axe on the side of his left shoulder, the blood was still leaking off it, like slime. The professor projected his left palm forward and gestured the sign of come on, which matched the sinister grin he wore.

Meanwhile...

Leon was running for his life, he knew leaving the professor would have its effects and also, he knew there was a demon chasing him. And the trees were no match to stop him.

Heavy Breath. Another Heavy Breath.

"The professor said I should just stay on this track until I see what? I hope he's as smart as he once was when he was a professor, cuz I heard some authors ain't"

Leon commenced running straight ahead, he intertwined past a few leaves barricading his path, lucky for him, it was daybreak now. As he kept on the pace, only at hairsbreadth was he saved from his tragic fate.

The foolish lizard set an ambush, it thrusted its spear, almost stabbing Leon's cranium, but the kid slid both knees down and saw himself behind the demon lizard.

'God, that was close?'

Both opponents stood facing themselves, one waiting for the other to do something reckless. And the foolish one did the reckless thing.

The demon lizard thrust the spear once more, this time, Leon ducked and slid his leg down, taking the demon lizard off its lizard feet. And with the spear he had gotten, he stabbed it right through the head of the demon.

Shiiik..!

"That was easier than I thought, maybe I should go back and help the professor"

Leon took a step to go back there.

'The professor might be weak, but he's not foolish when it comes to survival, I'd be surprised he can speak lizard language', thought Leon and bolted towards the direction Levi had told him.

Elsewhere...

Gypsy and Cass are trying their best to track Levi's footsteps, but no matter how many times Cassandra tries, it keeps giving her the same outcomes.

"I don't get it, I've tracked his footstep forty times and the trails lead back to where I collapsed, he came in this direction"

Gypsy's expression was that of a worried child, especially given the fact that she had a nightmare of Levi's demise. She squats near Cassandra and observes the sticks, the footsteps indeed lead them back, but there is a special stick that was broken on two sides.

The direction of the break was leading to a whole new path, unlike where the previous trails had been leading them. Sooner than expected, a rattling was occurring in the direction Gypsy had seen the broken stick.

Both girls looked at themselves and stood. The clangor was getting louder behind the bush. And a fellow with white hair ran out of it like a mad cohort.

Allowing intuition to do its thing, Cassandra quickly brushed the figurine off his feet and mounted with a blow ready to demolish this guy's face.

Leon hit his back hard on the floor and released a loud exhale of pain, his breath seized, however, the sight of the incoming punch, made him speak quickly.

"Whoa... slow down it's me!", Leon raised his voice at the right time, and released a loud breath of 'Thank god'.

"Leon? Leon! You're alive"

Both figures embraced, but the boring reunion was Short-lived when Gypsy emptied her throat, in other to attain Leon's attention.

"Gypsy? Thought you were jesting when you said you would be a tower climber, oh right"

Judging by Gypsy's expression, Leon decrypted that wasn't what she meant by the clearing of the throat.

"Did you see my Dad?"

"Oh yes, the professor, he came and rescued me with some false identity and I think I blew his cover, the..the lizard monsters have him, I..I don't think he made it out"

Gypsy's eyes sparkled with tears, what if her nightmare became virtuality, without hesitation, she dashed toward the path Leon had come from.

"We've gotta go after her, Leon...Try to keep up"

Leon sighed as both females ran off, great, he's gonna run back in the same direction he was just coming from.

With this thought, he exhaled and flickered off.
