After completing the cardiac portion, Ye Xiu's gaze turned to the other two doctors, pausing on their figures for a moment. Honestly, after witnessing the performance of the two doctors earlier, his confidence in these two was not very high.

"Allow me to take over," Zhao Ruobing interjected.

After the recent events, she had lost hope in these doctors. She felt it would be better for her to take charge and have them assist.

Her? Ye Xiu's gaze hesitated as it landed on Zhao Ruobing. He already knew she was the deputy chief neurosurgeon. Despite her commanding presence, he wondered if she could handle the upcoming part of the surgery, which wasn't her specialty. But soon, he realized his doubts were unfounded. She was the lead surgeon after all, and if she said she could handle it, then she surely could. Why should he doubt her? Were others incapable apart from him?

He chuckled inwardly at his thoughts, nodding to Zhao Ruobing and stepping aside.

Upon hearing Zhao Ruobing's words, the two other doctors couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Like the orthopedic doctor earlier, they didn't have much confidence in themselves. Zhao Ruobing's willingness to take charge relieved them of the pressure of potentially embarrassing themselves again.

However, they were also curious. Would Zhao Ruobing, whose expertise lay in neurosurgery, be able to handle their field? Their eyes were fixed on her, eager to see her performance.

The patient's vital signs monitor began blaring frantically.

The other doctors were equally stunned. Nobody anticipated such a sudden turn of events in an otherwise smooth surgery.

"This is bad! The blood vessel ruptured!" Ye Xiu's expression changed abruptly.

While such accidents were common in surgery, given the patient's already critical condition, there was no room for error.

"Dr. Zhao, the patient's vital signs are dropping!" The anesthesiologist finally snapped back to reality, addressing Zhao Ruobing, who seemed lost in thought.
