When it was only the two of them, mocking smile appeared on their lips. “Inform to the Emperor that Young Miss Luna will handle it beautifully.” Feng Chang said as he slow down his pace. “Young Miss Luna ability is simply unimaginable.” The eunuch announced it in amazed. He had heard about the mind controller ability to mess with other people mind, but never saw it with his own eyes. Only when he saw Xiao Tianyao was so beguiled by Luna, he knew that the mind controller’s ability was a calamity for their enemies. I DON'T LIKE IT

Inside the carriage, Xiao Jun was very silence, he kept his lips tight and refused to avert his gaze from the window.

In the other hand, Qianru remained silence as well. Initially she wanted to ask something to Xiao Jun or having some discussion about his decision to not stay in the palace, but the atmosphere was very awkward.

Once they arrived at the inn, one of the female workers escort them to their chamber.

It was the most expensive inn that provided them with the most exquisite scenery and furniture, which not common person could afford.

"Jun…" Qianru tugged Xiao Jun sleeves once it was only the two of them.

"Yes?" Xiao Jun turned around, looking at her impassively, as though nothing had happened.

"Are you angry?" She asked meekly.

Qianru was able to say it because of she has known him for years, people who were not close to him, wouldn't know about his slightly changed mood. But, she was familiar with that stare.

"No." Xiao Jun lied blatantly.

Qianru frowned, she wanted to argue with him about that, but Xiao Jun had turned around and left the room. He went to the bathroom and spent almost an hour there.

The moment he came out he was wearing his simple white robe and sat beside the window.

looking at him sitting alone, Qianru approached him cautiously, she slowly sat in the chair opposite him and waited for a while, but Xiao Jun didn't shun her away or left, he kept his eyes at the yard outside.

Seeing there was no sign of discomfort, Qianru brew a tea for him and pushed the tea cup toward Xiao Jun once it has done.

"Thank you." He took the tea cup and sipped the liquid, his gaze turned softened as a faint smile appeared on his lips.

There was silence followed after that small gesture. Both of them looking at the yard as dark clouds covered the gloomy sky.

"It looks like there will be a storm." Qianru stated in lowered voice, stealing a glance at the man in front of her. "I am glad we have arrived before the storm coming."

Still there was no response from Xiao Jun. Somehow, Qianru felt uncomfortable with his silence treatment.

Gave up her attempt to strike a conversation with him, Qianru was about to stand up and left him alone, maybe he just needed some time to be by himself, when he averted his gazed from the yard and looked at Qianru with indiscernible eyes.

"Qianru…" Xiao Jun called her softly. "Why were you looking for Mo Qin Yi? Why don't you come to me instead?"

"I thought I can solve the problem." Qianru answered him truthfully. "… with the courtyard that he arranged for us…"

The dark cloud started to spill the first drop of rain and followed with another drop until the mist formed and the wind howled.

"Next time, come to me first, alright?"

Qianru nodded. "I am sorry I didn't know that you had arranged all of this." She gestured to the inn that they stayed with her hand.

"My fault for not inform you." Xiao Jun dismissed her apology. "Next time, don't come near Mo Qin Yi anymore."

Qianru tilted her head and looked at him questioningly.

"I don't like it." He added.
