bounced Luca up in down in her arms, Lexie holding Elijah in her arms as she sat on the small couch in the hospital room. It was the last day Eleanora and the twins were going to be in the hospital, and it seemed like Lexie was afraid she'd never see the boys again after they left.

"You have to tell your mommy that she can't just take you away from me, Elijah." Lexie whispered to the baby, him making a little cooing sound before snuggling back into the blanket wrapped around him.

"I'm not taking them away from you, Lexie." Eleanora laughed, shushing Luca as he made a small noise. "I'm taking them home, where you will most likely show up at after your shift."

"But I've had non-stop baby time for the past few days, Ella!" Lexie tells her, her soft eyes going back to Elijah. "Now I won't see them all the time."

"You're their Godmother, Lex." Eleanora told her, shaking her head. "You'll probably be seeing them too much."

Mark walks in, in his hands the discharge papers and a bag of baby stuff he stole from the supply closet. Eleanora raised a brow at the bag, tilting her head.

"And you stole those, why?"

"Because they're the good stuff and I'm afraid we don't have enough." Mark replied quickly. He set the discharge papers on the bed in front of her and set the bag down, his face erupting into a smile as he opened his arms to take Luca. "Luca wants his Pops."

"Does he now?" Eleanora asked, but still placed son in her husbands arms softly. Once Mark had Luca, he walked off a bit, whispering to his son.

Eleanora smiled softly at the sight before taking the discharge papers and flipping through them, signing what she needed to.

The sound of a pager filled the room and Eleanora and Mark both instinctively reached for theirs only not to find them, seeing as they were still at home. Well, Mark's was. Eleanora's was in Derek's possession until further notice so she actually stuck to her maternity leave and didn't come running in to steal a surgery with two babies strapped to her.

Lexie sighed, standing up. She looked down at Elijah with sad eyes before pressing a soft kiss to his forehead, placing him back in the small portable crib from the nursery.

"That's me. I have to go. But remember to take tons of cute pictures and tell them that I love them very much!"

Eleanora laughed as Lexie started for the door, pausing in front of Mark to coo at Luca for a moment. Mark rolled his eyes and hip checked her, nodding to the door.

"Go, Little Grey. Save some lives or something."

Lexie threw Mark a look before leaving, waving goodbye. Eleanora shook her head, laughing softly to herself as she focused back on the discharge papers.

Mark grinned down at Luca, bouncing him up and down softly.

"Your Aunt Lexie is crazy, buddy. Absolutely bonkers."

, put him in the crib."

"No, I can't. What if he misses me?"

"Mark, we are quite literally going to be in the bed beside them. They are not going to miss us for long."

Mark cradled Elijah to his chest, eyes wide a bit. Luca was already in his crib, fast asleep. Mark and Eleanora had set up two temporary cribs in their room for the time being, wanting the twins as close as possible for the remainder of their leave.

"Nora, I don't want to put him down." Mark whispered, moving his eyes to his son. They softened, Mark letting out a small coo. "He's too adorable."

Eleanora waited a moment before slowly reaching her husband. She was soft in taking Elijah out of his arms, Mark letting out a small whine. Eleanora cradled Elijah to her chest for a moment, shaking her head.

"Honestly, Mark. They need to sleep." Eleanora looked down at her son, voice softer. "Isn't that right, piccolo? You and your brother need to get as much sleep as you can so you can continue to be the cutest, most adorable-"

"You don't want to put him down now, do you?"

"No, I don't."

Luca made a noise and Mark quickly high-tailed it to his crib, picking him up. He grinned, pressing a kiss to the top of his sons head.

_______

is he just sleeping?"

Eleanora glanced over from the kitchen where she was making a couple sandwiches, her eyes falling on a confused Cristina. Eleanora grinned when she saw Elijah fast asleep in Cristina's arms, rolling her eyes as she walked in.

"Because he's a few weeks old, Cristina. All he does is sleep."

Cristina let out a 'hmpth', looking down at the baby with a slightly calculated look. "What if I wake him up?"

"Then I'll kill you." Eleanora responded instantly, voice still sickly sweet. Cristina raised a brow and looks over, Eleanora sliding a sandwich towards Cristina as she took a bite of her own. "When they don't sleep, they scream. And if one starts screaming, the other follows, and Luca is way more dramatic than Elijah and it will go on for an hour."

"So Luca is Mark reincarnate, got it." Cristina looked down at Elijah, voice soft. "That makes you Aunt Cristina's favorite."

Eleanora shook her head with a small laugh, looking over when she heard the door to her and Mark's bedroom open. Her husband shuffled out, eyes tired, wincing when the door clicks too loudly behind him.

"What in the hell is wrong with you?" Cristina asked him, scrunching her nose up.

"Shh." Mark hissed out, slowly making his way to the couch. He sat beside his wife and laid his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes. "Luca finally fell asleep."

Cristina sent a confused look to Eleanora, who just shook her head. She moved her hand to play with Mark's hair, the older man falling asleep quickly.

"Luca can't seem to fall asleep if Mark isn't there, and Luca also hates asleep."

Cristina hummed, slowly moving her eyes back to the baby in her arms. Her voice was low when she spoke to him, shaking her head.

"Your parents are weird, Sloan Spawn."

_______

?" Jackson called out from the front door, holding it open as April hurried in with a few bags of food in her hands. "April has demanded she feeds you."

"Okay, I did not demand." April corrected him, narrowing her eyes. "I just made her and Mark food, and then made you drop me off."

Jackson snorted, but before he could respond a throat clearing brought both his and April's attention to the archway that leads into the kitchen.

Mark stands before them, face unamused and hands on his hips. In any other case, the two residents would be intimidated of it. However, the two baby's strapped to his chest and back took away the intimidation factor.

"What are you two bozos doing here?" He asked, Luca cooing from the front of the small baby holder.

"I have food." April told him, walking towards the kitchen. Her eyes sifted as she looked at the twins, sending them a smile. "Aren't you two just adorable!"

"Yes, they are." Mark agreed, his narrowed eyes landing on Jackson. "Shut the door, Avery. You don't pay the bills."

"Right, sorry." Jackson quickly shut it behind him, now standing awkwardly in the entry-way. "Um, where is Eleanora?"

"Showering." Mark told him, bending his knees a bit to bounce the twins up and down. "We have to time them out perfectly, so when the boys are calm one of us runs."

"Okay," April started, placing the bags on the counter, "I have two lasagnas, one casserole, a platter of sandwiches, a meatloaf, and two pies."

Mark perked up at that and turned, Elijah happily snoozing on his back. Jackson made a face, very confused with the sight before him.

"What kind of pie you got, Kepner?"

______

do you think about the next phase?" Derek asked Eleanora, bouncing Luca up and down as he walked back and forth in the living room of the Sloan residence.

Derek had demanded Eleanora stay up to date, not only on his surgeries but on the Trial. This meant he normally swung by the house a couple times a week with files and notes. But Eleanora was certain he came for the twins more than her.

Elijah was pressed against her chest as she sat on the couch, flipping the page of the trial notes. "It looks good. We should be able to move into it within the year, right?"

"Right." Derek told her, grinning down at a giggling Luca. "Isn't that right, Luca? Your Uncle Derek is a genius."

"So is his momma." Eleanora added, looking down at Elijah when he coos. Derek just continues grinning down at Luca, the baby raising his small hand to press against his Uncle's cheek.

"I need him to know I'm smart, Ella."
