Chapter 27: The Queen's Sacrifice

Queen Becca, sensing the darkness gathering, knew her time was running out. She called Kane to her chambers, her eyes filled with a deep sadness.

"Kane, my son, I'm proud of the man you've become. But I fear I won't be here to see the end of this battle."

Kane's heart ached, knowing what she was saying. "No, Mother, don't say that!"

Queen Becca smiled weakly. "I've lived a full life, Kane. But I must give you the chance to win this war. My spirit will join your father's, and together, we'll guide and protect you."

With those final words, Queen Becca passed away, her spirit leaving her body. Kane held her hand, tears streaming down his face.

But as he looked up, he saw a vision of his parents' spirits, together and strong, watching over him. He knew they would be with him in the battle ahead.

Adara and Ahmed mourned the queen's passing, but they knew they had to press on. The kingdom's army was ready, and Malakai's forces were closing in.

Kane stood tall, his heart filled with determination. "We'll win this war, Mother, Father. I promise."
