Chapter 23 : The Strange People.

Joab swept his gaze around and saw nothing but the sound kept getting louder and louder. Which meant that something was coming closer and closer.

Suddenly Joab who was walking forward stopped in his tracks. His eyes widened in shock.

Others saw it too and their faces turned as pale as a sheet. Their hearts began racing rapidly.

Even Yeli who saw it from his carriage couldn't help being astonished.

'This is so strange!'

He had never seen something like that before.

Some even trembled in fear and their legs went limp.

A very tall, big, and strong man carrying a dead body on his shoulder emerged from a bush, 50 meters away in their front, and got into the pathway. In other words, he got into their way. The man didn't notice Joab and the others. He had his back facing them.

Joab who was 1.9 meters tall seemed like a grasshopper in comparison with the man. The latter was around 5 meter tall.

The man had black scars all over his wrinkled fat body. He didn't look as a normal human.

They didn't saw his face but judging from his body, they expected none other than ugly face.

They were frightened by his appearance and realised that the man was a giant.

The dead body he carried on his shoulder was a corpse of a young beautiful woman. The corpse had a big fresh wound on the neck which was still bleeding.

Obviously, the young woman was killed by the man.

'It kills normal humans'

This thought sent shivers run down their spines.

The giant walked several steps forward.

Suddenly it stopped in its tracks, seemed to sense something. Slowly, it turned around and glanced straight at Joab and the others.

Its face was ugliest face they had ever seen. It had big rounded eyes and big nose.

The moment it saw then its large lips curled into a devilish smile, revealing its big and sharp brown teeth. The teeth could be compared with rocks.

Some clothes of the people were already drenched in cold sweat. Fear petrified them and they could not even move a muscle other than to escape.

But Joab who was too close to it stood firmly without even shivering and didn't retreat with even a single step.

No one could tell what was going on through his head.

After all, Joab had been a soldier for about two decades and successfully became a commander of 100-man team. He had experienced more dangerous and frightening situations including life and death situations.

More over, he was the leader and had no choice but gather courage and braveness.

His expression changed from being astonish to cold and murderous as he unsheathed his sword. The sword emitted death and blood aura.

The giant immediately threw down the dead body violently and charged towards Joab as it produced strange sound in anger.

Joab gritted his teeth and charged towards it too.

Seeing this scene from his carriage, Yeli had a terrible expression on his face. He started taking off his coat but wriggling his shoulder but a hand grabbed him.

When he glanced at the owner of the hand, he met Grandpa Masula's pleading gaze. The latter shook his head in disapproval. With a cold expression, Yeli obeyed and stopped taking off the coat.

On the other hand, Joab and the giant were about to collide with each other. At this moment, Joab raised his sword as he jumped up towards the monster.

In mid air when was about to crash onto the monster, he flung his big sword with all his strength. At almost the same time several glowing ropes appeared and quickly tied the giant making it unable to move.

In the next instant the giant's head flew away as it was cut by Joab leaving behind a headless body.

The headless body fell backward as blood gushed out of the neck like a stream.

After this, Joab who had just landed steady on the ground swept his gaze around and saw the one who had helped him. In other words, the ones who had swung and tied the giant with white glow ropes.

Light suddenly flashed on his face and his pupils constricted immediately. He looked surprised.

He saw five young and beautiful women staring at him while smiling. These women were extremely beautiful and looked like angels.

These women wore long sky blue glittery dresses. They were shining as angels and had lilac wings at their backs.

'Fairy ladies?'

In the next moment the shining light on their bodies disappeared and the lilac wings at their backs vanished too.

They were now normal beautiful young women. They looked very similar to women of Jiuhon and Huryo.

Their graceful and peferct figures caused blood of men here to slightly boil.

"Respect to you sir, for the revenge of our sister. Thank you"

The women said in unison while bowing.

"No, I'm the one to thank you for helping me to deal with this monster"

Joab said as he slightly bowed to the women.

The rest including Yeli and Grandpa Masula watched the series of scenes in shock.

At first they had seen Joab jumping toward the giant, then glowing ropes appeared out of the blue. In the next, to their astonishment Joab cut the giant's head. At the end, they saw shining women with lilac wings turning into normal beautiful young women.

Too many astonishing things happening at the very short period of time caused them be at a loss for what to do. They could only watch.

"I'm Qin Wang an elder sister of Fairy sect, how about you?"

A young woman who seemed to be the leader said in Chioye language.

Joab hesitated for a moment before saying.

"I..I'm Joab the commander of Abaki Army. We are on our journey to Abaki, our home along with our Honoured prince"

"Huoi!!"

Before Joab finished his sentence an extremely deep roar filled the atmosphere, frightening them.
