Double Lariat

"Hey! Yo, Felix, what are you looking at?"

"Let him be, Shakiro! He's just looking at some girls and boobs!"

As I tapped their arms, trying to breathe.

That's right, my name is Felix Cunanan, but right now, it's being choked by a double Lariat choke. In wrestling, it was legendary. But in real life? It's way too uncool to die like this, though not as uncool as past me, dying with a stick in my butt.

"Felix, are you a pervert? If you ask me if I'm a pervert, I'm proud to be!" Milo teased.

"Milo, let him go! He's dying!" Shakiro said.

My frantic taps on their arms and trying to pull out their arms. They are both swordsmen—strong as hell.

They let me go as I gasped for air.

"What the hell, you trying to kill me?"

I punch them, each one in the cheeks. But they were so hard. I was the one who received the damage instead.

"Are you okey?" Milo sarcastically asked.

They are more concerned about me than when I hit them. That's how weak a craftsman is.

"I'm fine," even though my knuckles hurt.

"Well, well, don't be mad. Here, eat this!" Shakiro offered, handing me a candy that gives regeneration. This is an expensive item. So I hid it, it would be better to use it in the test.

These two are my childhood friends after I transmigrated as a kindergartener. We're classmates. They are both swordsmen, yet they tend to forget and treat me like I'm one of them.

I could usually dodge them. But surprise attacks like this, I'll always be near death.

"So, what rank are you, Felix? I'm 302!" Milo said, pointing at his department badge showing the number 302.

Ranks show the name of the best performance and are considered as the best of the Avalon, usually changes after the final exam, and is typically lasts anywhere between 6 months to 5 years.

As of now, it's merely a test. The entrance test will just happen, so all current ranks are fake—It was just to showcase the students' potential capabilities.

College Education added a hero course to education after the wave event of the wormhole calamity and the school only has a legal right for this course is Avalon School.

Avalon tests the stats of each player in a game, but in the end, it will be a real battle. No stats are required, even the weakest can change the fight. The test was mainly to see what class the students would be in and what department they were qualified for.

In this system, a magician wields a magic wand, an enchanter wields a support staff, a swordsman wields a sword, a ranger wields a bow, and a porter, known as a craftsman, is quite an all-around, but eventually specializing.

Like in chess, a pawn may seem the weakest but can clinch a checkmate. Everything can be changed, so ranks are fake! I know that well, because I'm the creator.

"I'm ranked 1675, the top craftsman. Oi, what the hell, why are you checking it? Do you think I'm a liar?" I protested, as Milo searching something on his phone, while Shakira held me back from intervening.

"Yeah!" they said at the same time.

"What the hell! Aren't you two my friends?"

In jest, I kiss them jokingly, they know I won't do it for real. That's why they don't even move. Not only that, they fight back by jokingly kissing me in public.

This was always one of our daily bad jokes. But, today felt different. Milo moved to peck my right cheek, and Shakira, the left.

I knew they were just joking.

As I bent down to fix my untangled shoelace, a sudden shriek echoed from Shakira and Milo, followed by a mad dash to the faucet.

"What the hell? Did they overeat again?"

It's better to let them. I go back to those three characters I created: Sonia, Steve, and Elina.

"But something feels off..." I muttered, knocking my head with my hands, but I couldn't seem to remember it.

I thought at first, I had just been transmigrated to another world or perhaps a different timeline, but the truth proved even more surreal.

"I am in my own novel," I said.

It's what I'd strived to prove for a long time, and now, observing those three, there's no denying that this is the world I've crafted.

Elina, who's still circling her thumb, is too cute, like a rabbit.

I did not focus much on the orientation event.

"Announcement! Prepare for the physical entrance exam!" the announcer said.

This has never happened in history, but the school will change its rules. This year, it was going to be harder and different… you know, why I know?

Because I'm the author!

I should mingle with others, maybe I can exploit some information.

"In retrospect, our recollections will not be shaped by the utterances of those against us, but by the quietude of companions we once knew."
