Where It All Started

''Leave me alone, i refuse to go'' I shouted as my sister dragged me out of the house. i held onto the door knob clinging on it like my life depended on it.

''give it up already kharis , we are going to see that firework show and that final'' she said , and with a strong push she was able to pull me off the door. ''Noooo'' i shouted in defeat . my sis then locked the door and turned to me and gave me a very big grin.

''come on, stop squirming and lets go'' she said , i gave in and stood up and we both started walking along the road to the fire work show. ''seriously, what did i ever do to you '' i asked her. 

''I don't know what you're talking about'' she said like nothing happened . at that point i felt like punching her in the face but my thoughts when interrupted when..

''we are here'' she shouted in excitement. '' please stop embarrassing yourself and me or else , I might just deny you of being my sister'' I said with a grin. '' you wouldn't dare'' she turned to me with an evil glare that sent shivers down my spine. I just nodded my head and we continued our walk through the celebration. '

''wow, its like a big festival '' I said amazed by the celebration. '' I know right'' she said smiling . '' and I thought you weren't interested at all '' she continued and looked at me , and that just made me eat my words. but I wasn't ready to accept that . and luckly for me i found the perfect distraction.

'' oh isn't that Sylva '' i said. she immediately turned and shouted her name the minute she spotted her.

''Kaly , you came '' Sylva said excitedly. '' wouldn't miss it for the world'' Kaly , my sis responded.

'' great , now that we are done with the reunion , can we get food i am starving''i said dramatically '' shut up you didn't even want to come'' kaly shut me up with her words. ''yeah, but that was because you forced me'' i said defensively.

'' yeah , why don't you ran along can't you see the adults are talking'' her friend said. ''adults? who are you even to talk'' i said but that made matters worse . they started glaring at me. and i felt like crawling under a shell. '' why are you all mean to me'' i whimpered.

eventually we got food , and my stomach could stop crying , what a relief. ''you are going'' i over head my sister saying. '' yeah it is such a shame, but my family is my first piriority ''. slyva said. ''don't worry i understand, i promise to take pictures'' kaly said. and just like that she was off.

''what was that about '' i asked her . '' it's nothing '' she said with disappointment on her face and i began to worry.'' i you sure you are okay'' i asked her.

'' i'm okay , lets go i think the fireworks would be starting soon'' she said trying to hide something.

soon we stood by the railings of the road waiting for the fire works to start every one gather on the road , ready to see the fire works. they whole road was free from cars, which meant tis show was a big occasion .

''you know kaly I'm here for you, if something is bothering you, I can help you'' i said genuinely to her, and she seemed surprised to hear that from me.'' awwn kharis, i never knew you were so sweet'' she said trying to kiss me and hugging me.'' and just like that i take back everything''i said and she started laughing and i couldn't help but to laugh too. soon we were all laughing. '' i never want this to end'' she said , i rested my head on her shoulders '' me t--'' i was interrupted when the fire works started. it was so beautiful. '' this is amazing'' i said ''yeah ''

the fire works brightened the dark sky, creating a beautiful display. the night of 1st august was one to remember.

everything was going fine until a very big explosion occured that sent people flying including me and Kaly. i woke up to see my self on the ground , my vision was blurry and my hearing wasn't either good . i kept on hearing a ringing sound. soon i was able to spot kaly unconscious . i began to panic .

''KALY'' i shouted but no response ,i didn't no what to do . everyone around me was running and i was just sitting there , like i was paralyzed with kaly in my hands until one person stopped. '' are you just going to sit there'' he said and he was right i had to do something i got up supporting kaly on my shoulders. soon she was regaining consciousness '' Kharis'' she struggle to say. '' don't worry i will get help'' i said confidently. i managed to walk away from the commotion but soon couldn't handle the weight. i fell down with kaly . i grunted from the pain. i tried getting up but it was no use.

''why bother , it is no use'' i heard someone behind me i turned but saw no one.

''over here'' again that voice, but this time i saw a person . he was wearing a designed masked on his face and dressing seemed off . '' who are you '' i asked.

'' sorry, girl i don't have time for a chit chat so i will go straight to the point i am her for the girl , so hand her over'' my attention went to kaly still unconscious, that's when i knew this guy is bad news. 

''why should i'' i said '' Hmm , lets just say she is the key to something important''

'' I'm sorry i cant give her to you'' i said holding her tightly in my hands.

'' you sure have some audacity'' '' see i am not asking for your permission, so i will be taking her''

''i will like to see you try''i said '' wow for someone who doesn't have strength you sure have some confidence''.

he was right i was weak, but i was hoping on my pride to save me this time. he started to approach me. '' hey back off'' i shouted

''oh where did all that confidence ran off too . I'm not going to hurt you but if you misbehave i will'' 

''you wouldn't dare '' i said , but what happened next surprised me. i felt pain in my body. i stood up without my will and I could feel my body moving towards him. ''What is happening''

'' surprised ? maybe i will explain the next time we meet.'' 

as soon as i go close to him i felt my hands handing out kaly to him.

'' thank you , so much . i am sure we will meet soon''

''When i do , i swear i will kill you '' i said. '' maybe. maybe you can , someday but not now''

i guess i broke my promise'' he said . ''huh?'' i questioned. he formed his hand into a fist and punched me in my guts . i was sent flying. i felt an excruciating pain when i landed on the ground but i couldn't cry, shout, or talk i just felt my eyes closing and the last thing i saw was him taking her away.
