Chapter 148: Intentions

"Rest, you have a fever." He mumbled. But she didn’t respond. Suddenly, he started hearing a bang on the door.

"Raymond, open the door this instant." Mr Kingston declared.

"I am not opening do your worst." Raymond snarled.

"Raymond!!" he yelled.

"Shouting will do you no good." He replied.

Mr Kingston banged on the door for some time and walked down the stairs to Sofia, who was arranging her clothes in her bag with Mrs Kingston.

"Maybe you guys shouldn’t have forced him to marry me, he doesn’t even like me." Sofia muttered with her eyebrows lowered and pulled together.

"He will come around, you just need to look for a way to get him." Mrs Kingston beamed.

"What do you mean by getting him?" she inquired. Mrs Kingston took her hand in hers.

"I was trying to say, you seduce him." She muttered.

"Seduce? He doesn’t even want to see my face, how can I seduce him?" she asked.

"You can try, dear, there is no harm in trying."

"Listen to Sofia, don’t be sad. I promise you I will make sure he divorces that woman." Mr Kingston stated.

"Thanks dad, that’s more like it." Sofia smiled.

"Dad, did I hear that right?" Richard whined, walking to them.

"What are you doing here?" Mrs Kingston inquired.

"I am going to work." Richard replied.

"Alright, my son, bye." Mrs Kingston waved as Dave ran into the mansion and they both walked out of the mansion.

"You will be staying in the guest room till Raymond accepts you." Mr Kingston declared.

"I can't do that, so he will be living with that bitch." Sofia snarled.

"Calm down, Sofia, you need to be patient and think before you say things." Mrs Kingston stated.

"I have to go too." Mr Kingston stated.

"What about Raymond? Isn’t he going to work?" Sofia inquired.

"I don’t know about him, but it has been a long time since he went to work. His employees must be taking care of all his work, and my husband is helping in his own way." Mrs Kingston stated.

"So because of me, he left home and even abandoned his work." She muttered.

"Yes, go settle down in your room. You talk too much." Mrs Kingston muttered.

Sofia sighed. She got up from the couch and carried her luggage.

Daisy opened her eyes as her phone started ringing. She held her head and grunted as a slight pain hit the back of her skull. She turned to look at Raymond, who was sleeping beside her.

He was not in a good position as he rested his head on the wall.

She got up from the bed immediately and took her phone. It was Mrs Jennifer calling.

"Hello."                                                                    

"Where are you?" Mrs Jennifer asked.

"I am at work." Daisy mumbled.

"Good, there is a model that will be coming. I want you to give her an envelop I kept in my drawer." Mrs Jennifer stated.

"Alright, boss." Daisy said and dashed into the bathroom.
