#04-I Am Your Older Brother!

Ruby Alasdair was confused about what to answer.

She couldn't possibly say that she was the creator of this world and knew everything that existed in this world, including Sylver Cielo's past. The woman started to panic. Her habit of panicking when she was still living as Athanasia Brown in the modern world emerged. The woman played with her nails, making Reynold Alasdair frown.

"You'll hurt your nails if you play with them like that, Ruby."

Hearing Reynold's voice, Ruby blinked. She forgot that man was here. She could use Reynold to avoid Sylver. The woman immediately made a face as if she felt sick and made her body sway towards Reynold.

"Ruby!" Reynold exclaimed. The man immediately caught Ruby's tiny body and hugged her tightly. "Hey, are you okay, Ruby? Where does it hurt? Tell me!"

"Brother, my body is very cold. My head hurts and my vision is starting to blur." Ruby rested her head on Reynold's warm chest. Hell, she didn't know that Reynold's body would be this good. Also Sylver's body. Her depiction of the men's bodies in this novel truly exceeded her fantasies. "I can not take it anymore. I want to go home. I want to rest, Brother. Maybe, I'll pass out here soon."

Reynold nodded. "We're going home now." The man carried Ruby's body, making Ruby blink and immediately hold Reynold who was about to take her out of Cielo's mansion.

"Wait a minute, Brother!" Ruby exclaimed in panic. "Why are you carrying me?"

"Because I am your older brother!" Reynold scolded Ruby. "Do you want me to let you be carried by that man?"

What Reynold meant by 'that man' was, of course, Sylver Cielo. The Duke noticed it too and grinned.

"If you can't carry your little sister, I can do it. And I will do it gladly."

Ruby panicked again. Even though she knew Reynold Alasdair wouldn't allow it but Ruby didn't want to take any chances. She immediately put her arms around Reynold's neck and whispered, "Brother, don't be angry here and don't report it to Father. But, Duke Sylver has been trying to intimidate me. I'm scared, Brother. Come on, let's get out of here."

Hearing that, Reynold froze. He gritted his teeth and gave Sylver a murderous look. Meanwhile, despite realizing the meaning of Reynold's gaze, Sylver didn't care.

"Did your pretty little sister say anything about me, little Duke?" Sylver asked in a teasing tone.

Ruby's pink eyes widened and glared sharply while Reynold growled.

"Please, watch your tongue, Duke Sylver Cielo." Reynold looked at Shery. "Shery, take all the things my little sister brought. We're going home now. I will ask Father for permission first then contact Richard and tell him to teleport us all to Alasdair's mansion."

After saying that, Reynold took Ruby away from the backyard of Cielo's mansion. Ruby, who was being carried by Reynold and could see Sylver behind them, stuck out her tongue at Sylver. Sylver blinked. When Reynold and Ruby were no longer visible, Sylver immediately laughed out loud. He knelt and wiped the water from the corners of his eyes.

"Err... Your Grace?" called Ben, the butler who had worked at Cielo's mansion for a long time. "Are you okay?"

"Yes. I just… have never experienced such enjoyable entertainment." Sylver stood up and took a deep breath. He untied his long hair and dried his silver hair with the towel Ben had brought. "Don't you think Princess Ruby is very attractive?"

"Yes?" Ben blinked.

"The woman is not as rumored," Sylver said. He stopped walking and looked at Ben. "Ben, if I wanted to see Princess Ruby again, do you think she would want to see me?"

The butler smiled hesitantly.

"Mm... wasn't it before Princess Ruby refused to meet you, Prince Reynold would stand at the gate of Alasdair's mansion to reject your arrival, Your Grace?"

"Tsk, you're right." Sylver rubbed his chin. "I have to do something about the little Duke first."

"Where's Ruby?!"

Reynold Alasdair growled and stared at the door to his study which was opened with a bang. His blue eyes looked sharp and cold at Richard Alasdair. His younger brother was wearing a typical magic tower uniform. His golden hair was starting to grow long and now Richard could tie it up. He also started wearing glasses. Maybe because Richard always read a lot of magic formulas or books related to magic, his eyes started to need the help of glasses.

"Resting. Richard, has Father or I ever taught you rude things like this?"

"That's because I'm her older brother and I'm really worried about her condition!" Richard walked towards the sofa and sat there. "You know her body has been very weak since she was little. When you said she drowned in the lake because someone wanted to kill him, I felt like blowing up the magic tower right then and there."

"Maybe you should consider blowing up Cielo's mansion first," Reynold grumbled. Richard frowned.

"What about Duke Sylver Cielo's mansion?"

"Ruby's scared." Reynold continued his work. His eyes were focused on the documents on the table that he had to check while his mouth was busy talking to Richard. "When I was about to take her home, she whispered to me that Duke Sylver always intimidated her."

"What?!" Richard's handsome face turned scary. If anyone saw him, perhaps people would think of him as a criminal instead of the son of a Duke. "How dare he intimidate my beautiful and adorable little sister?!"

"I didn't report this to Father because Ruby asked me to," Reynold took a deep breath and massaged the bridge of his nose. "I really want to teach Sylver Cielo a lesson!"

Reynold and Richard looked at each other. Both of them had thoughts of hurting Sylver Cielo but that would definitely cause difficulties for their Father because Sylver Cielo still had imperial blood within his veins. More importantly, Sylver Cielo was the strongest man in this empire. Even if Reynold and Richard join forces to fight him, it's not certain that they will win.

"Where's Ruby, Brother?" Richard asked. The man stood up from the sofa. "I want to see her and make sure she's okay. I also brought her favorite cake."

"I told you our little sister is resting." Reynold snorted and stood up from the chair. "She is in her room. Come on, I also want to see her again. I'm afraid she'll have a fever."

The two handsome men walked quickly towards the second floor where Ruby Alasdair's room was located. When Reynold opened Ruby's room, the man and Richard froze. Their blue eyes widened. In the corner of the room, they saw Shery struggling to get free from the ropes that tied her body while Ruby was lying on the bed. What made their blue eyes widen was how Sylver Cielo was in the room and on top of their little sister's body! Sylver and Ruby turned their heads. Ruby had a frightened look on her face while Sylver grinned.

"Hello, little Duke, high-ranking Wizard." Sylver pointed at Ruby's beautiful face beneath him. "Can I play with your adorable little sister?"
