At The Other Side of World (1)

I was woken up by the sound of alarm set on my phone... I checked the time -

[7:00 a.m.][ 26th April, 2021]

[Today's checklist - ...]

7 a.m. huh? It's my third alarm but I don't remember turning off the other alarms... Did I sleep through them?

Last night what was I-?!! Yeah Irina! She made me unconscious!

As soon as I remembered last night's events I checked my body conditions.

I didn't feel any pain now and my breathing was normal. I was checking my body's other conditions when I heard my room's door opening.

Irina entered my room through the open door.

"Oh you're up? Didn't think you would wake up this soon." Irina said.

"Wake up this soon? You drugged me!"

"No, remember that you didn't eat dinner last night? And there was no other possible time I could've drugged you."

"Then what did you do?!"

"That was my supernatural ability. Of course I won't reveal more about it to you for now."

A supernatural ability... an ability which can surely kill a person without any explanation.

"Then I'll answer the rest of your questions tomorrow so wait calmly until then."

"Wait!"

She paused for a second before she turned around and stretched her hand holding a card.

I slowly scanned the light blue coloured card before receiving it.

"This is?"

"Something that Chandler left." Saying that she walked out of the room.

So she means that she cannot talk a little more but she is free to literally knock me out with a supernatural ability.

I sat down on my bed and tried to calm down.

Yesterday was like a dream to me, or more likely a nightmare that I wished to forget but the existence of Irina and a day passing by could not be denied.

Chandler's death, Camille's condition, the existence of Irina and supernatural powers. My fantasy of an interesting life was turning into reality in the worst possible way.

Chandler was extremely weird to begin with but I thought that was his own personality as a genius, though I wonder how many more world shaking secrets he had been keeping from me.

I sighed and left my room.

As soon as I walked out I was greeted by Noelle who was waiting outside my room.

"Hey Shade, you never said anything about having a hot girlfriend." She suddenly asked.

Mostly because I learned that fact last afternoon as well.

"Yeah, good morning to you too."

"Hey don't change the subject!"

Looks like she was introduced to Irina this morning and now wanted to satisfy her curiosity.

"Aside from changing the subject, the "Hot" part was unnecessary, don't you think?"

"But she is."

"She sure is."

She was pretty, she acted mature, she was even taller than a few boys and even her voice felt seductive to me.

"So every time you asked me about any ongoing events it was because you went there with her?"

...I did ask her about events and their locations regularly so that I would know which places and routes will be crowded on that day or week beforehand but telling her that was subject to humiliation so I lied.

"Of course!" I answered in a cocky manner.

"I really thought you were a loser who asked those places to avoid those routes but I guess you weren't that bad."

Kill me now, please.

Some time after that we all sat down to have breakfast, first of which were me, Noelle and my father when a conversation started.

"Noelle, you skipped your dinner so you wouldn't know, the girl in our house is named Irina." My father brought up this topic.

"Of course I know! I even knew that she and Shade have been dating for 4 months."

"Is that so?" My father replied.

Even I didn't know that.

"So when will she be returning?" Noelle asked.

"Well she will be staying here from now on because of some family complications."

What?!!

"What?!!"

"You don't like her?" My father, surprised by Noelle's unexpected reaction, asked her.

Meanwhile in the middle of this endurance test, I have no idea how but I was able to slightly squint my eyes and keep a straight face at that time.

"No it's just... dad, you don't know what could happen when two teenage couples live in the same house nowadays!" Noelle said.

"Irina is mature minded, and I trust your brother to know what's right and wrong."

This situation doesn't seem right to me.

After that we ate breakfast and everyone talked to Irina about different things. And I learned one thing from her talk with my family, she was even better than me at lying.

I went to my room and locked myself in as usual.

Since the morning my mind had not diverted from the card Irina handed me.

[23 / 7 / 21] The date written crudely on the card with a ballpoint pen.

Other than the card being awfully old there was nothing much notable about it.

The name of the business also sounded pretty normal to me.

With a quick search on the internet, I could see where the business was located. It wasn't very far away from my house but for someone like me, leaving the house was the biggest step.

"And then our teach came and their faces turned completely twisted."

It was a weird sight, on one side was Noelle joyfully telling the story and on the other side was Irina smiling innocently while listening to this stupid kid's story.

"Also a few days ago-" She stopped and looked towards me.

"What?"

"Your tone change hurts, you know."

"Why are you out of your den? Finally craving a social interaction or something?"

"Is that supposed to hurt me? If so, that's too weak."

"Huh."

"Nothing, I'm just going to meet with one of my friends."

"I thought all the time you went out was with Irina, don't tell me you are cheating on an angel like her."

Angel? I could even see Irina barely holding back her embarrassment with that statement.

"I- had something- to do." I said while pretending to hold in my laughter.

"With a friend?"

"Yeah, you remember that one annoying guy?"

"Oh the loud one." And started leaving. She quickly lost interest when I actually mentioned a friend. She may have been hoping for something interesting instead of a usual hang out.

As Irina passed by me, she tapped on my shoulder and whispered - "Goodbye and good luck." Looks like she has completely figured out my intentions.

And I walked out of my house with that.

Please continue, I swear the end of volume is good. The next few chapters are actually going to be slightly different so...(Yes I have no more comments, I'm not good at small discussions) .
