Thinking that Eric Call's Lee.

<Master, commonly you cannot change your path before level 2 but you are restarting your journey. Your body has reset like those who never have mana. Due to this, you have a chance to select your root path once again. This is one of the benefits you get but on another side, all your past progression will become a waste.>

Eric nodded his head and then ask.

"Then doesn't I have to follow the path of Max? If I choose a different path from him how would his legacy will help me then."

<Master, you have a misconception about legacy. Every warrior when given the chance to leave a legacy they have 2 choices. First, they can make a legacy that guides to make a legacy holder to follow the same path as the legacy master.

Universal System put restrictions on these types of legacy and only half of the techniques will remain in legacy and others get removed. Now legacy holders will unable to reach the same power as legacy masters.

No legacy master wants to leave a weak legacy like that. To bypass the restriction placed by the Universal system 2nd type of legacy come into play.>

He interrupts Lee and asks.

"Lee why Universal system restricting legacy when it allows warriors to leave a legacy."

<Master, I do not know the exact answer. But there is a theory that each legacy maker was those who loose on the path to the Monarch's throne. Universal systems do not want others to follow these losers blindly but to learn from them. You can say that the Universal system wants improvement that is why it is doing this.

Master this is the reason you must use Legacy but not depend on Legacy only. A legacy is a helpful tool but not a must-have tool.>

<Now warrior finds a way to bypass this restriction. That is 2nd type of legacy which is guide-type legacy. Now legacy makers made legacy like what type of power is suitable for each path to them. These focus on intent then exact power. >

Seeing the confused look on his face Lee explains.

<Let's say a wind element Grand Knight of warrior level 3 made 2nd type legacy. He wants the legacy holder to follow the Grand knight's path without telling him so he will do these things.

1st He will make a condition that the legacy holder must be a mortal or sword-shield wilder with the wind element.

2nd Let's say a mortal with a wind element gets his legacy. Now he can make his last projection message wearing a sword and shield. This will give hints to a legacy holder that this legacy belongs to the physical path sword-shield wielder.

Now even though legacy does contain training on other paths he gave many hints about his main path to the legacy holder.

This is one of the ways the 2nd type of guide legacy is made.>

"One of the ways. You mean there are other sorts of the way."

<Yes master, this way is only applicable to low-level legacy. Higher level has more diverse path so it will be impossible to give hints to legacy holder.

Now really famous warriors Leave a legacy in the place they train. Let's say they leave their legacy in their family or academy ground. People near that legacy know the history of the Legacy maker. So all they need to do is to read history and follow the same path.

Few warriors reach a stage where they are free from the bounds of the path. Their path becomes more like an ideology.

These kinds of people make a legacy that anybody from any path can follow. Their aim was not to make a copy of them but to leave a mark of their ideology for the future generation. There are a few more types but their information is of no use to you master.>

Saying that Lee becomes quiet and waits for Eric's response.

After some thought, Eric asks.

"Lee which type of legacy mine is."

<Master, you do not have permission.>

"Hmm, I figure you will say something like that. Why are you telling me all about the legacy which is higher level knowledge I guess? You said to me that I can only know information limited to my level only."

<Master, each legacy holder is given this knowledge by the Universal system, not by the legacy maker. This knowledge will help you understand more about how to use a legacy and this is why it is not restricted information.>

Eric nodded his head and ask.

"Lee let me ask one final thing"

<What it is master?>

"You said legacy contains knowledge of every path. Let's say I select the magic path what will happen to knowledge related to the physical path."

<Master, Legacy only contains knowledge till the legacy maker's power. If legacy belongs to level 3 warrior, then it only has knowledge containing till level 3. Once you choose let's say the magic path then all knowledge related to the physical path will get erased from your legacy.

In the future whenever you choose a path, guides related to other paths will get erased. At each level, you can only select knowledge regarding 1 path. For others, you need to find it on your own.>

Hearing this he is in shock. Now he understands why Lee always said a legacy is only a tool. His choice will decide his future not his legacy.

In a tired voice, he spoke to Lee.

"Lee can you not choose a better path for me."

Hearing the flat rejection he grumbles and spoke.

"Ok tell me basic information regarding each root path."

<Master there are 2 root paths. Both of these paths differ from each other in the way you use your mana.

1 Physical path: This is the path where you use mana to strengthen your body. In this path, you use mana to perform physical moves, and this path focuses on the body aspect.

2 Magical path: This is the path where you focus mana to control. This path focus on the mental aspect of your body.

The physical path focuses on repeated action and daily training. Whereas Magic path focuses on research and discovery.

On the physical path, you learn Arts whereas on the magical path you study scrolls.

Both paths have their different pros and cons.

The physical path is mainly powerful in close-range combat. The magic path is mainly powerful in mid-range or long-range combat.

Master, you need to know that the root path is only starting. It does not decide your fighting method but your training method. A mage can be good in close combat like a magic warrior and a physical warrior can be good in long-distance combat like an archer.

Master a warrior needs to select a root path then they can select any side path. A combination of skills and knowledge of different side paths will make warriors unique from each other. These root paths are only necessary till you reach the 2nd level. After that, you will not be bounded by these root paths.

Master, you do not need to immediately tell me. You must take your time to think about both paths then tell me your decision. You need to decide whether you want to do training or study.>

Eric already knows much about both these paths but after hearing Lee he starts thinking more about it. As he needs to go to the training ground tomorrow morning and he is already mentally tired after 2 teleportations, he speaks to Lee in a tired tone.
