The next morning, I was up earlier than usual. I was up way before anyone else. I grabbed a cup of coffee and sat by the window of my room. It’s strange to reflect on all that has happened since the start of senior year.

When I started my emotional journey to now, I can’t fathom it. I wasn’t the same person and felt different. As I sat there reflecting on everything, someone knocked at the door. Dad opened the door.

/"You’re up early,/" he said.

He strolled over to me.

/"I like the quietness./"

He took a seat next to me.

/"You’ve always done it, back when you were a little child./"

/"It helps with the chaos in my mind./"

/"That’s what made you different from the others, Ryker. You didn’t fuss or make any noise the first time I held you. You looked around, trying to take in your surroundings. Your brother had a set of lungs on him./"

He chuckled.
