A short night

"Oi Mary look what I got! Pretty impressive, isn't it?" Jin comes out from the forest riding a five-meter-tall chunky orc pig. 

"No, you didn't just do it!" Screams Mary.

"Yep, we're gonna ride on this and when we get some money, we will get a wagon and set on our journey! We will sell these orc pig horns and skins at the market."

Orc pigs are similar to normal pig but they have a horn in the middle of their head. They are also very similar to elephants in size and weight but they are much tougher than an elephant. Their skin can be as tough as aluminum. Orc pigs can also use simple manipulations up to level-1 grade-3. Their manipulation energy lies within their horns. These horns are pretty tough too, toughest part of their body. These are so tough that you could create up to level-3 grade-4 weapons from the finest of orc pig horns. Their skin is also valuable material because of its toughness and foldability, such as armor and other various stuff. Their bones are quite sturdy too, the only side effect is that they share the same meat as orcs which tastes like rotten dog meat. Apart from that, every part of orc pig is valuable.

"But you don't have a license from any organization to trade at markets. How will you sell these?" Mary asks curiously.

"Aren't you forgetting something?"

"Huh?" She thinks for second, "You don't plan on going there, do you? Sir, I can't let you go there. You know how dangerous this is!" She lashes out.

"You worry too much Mary, nothing will happen. Besides, if something happens, you're there, aren't you?" Jin looks at her worried face, "It'll be fine. We will run after selling the stuff, hehe. Now help me tie all those dead orc pigs."

Mary doesn't say anything and gets up on the orc pig Jin after tying all them with one rope. She sits down facing opposite from Jin holding the rope while he operates the pig. "By the way, how did you get this giant or pig to follow your commands?"

"Well, I killed all the other orc pigs in front of his eyes and also cut this bastards skin and healed then repeat the tried-and-true process until he caves in."

"T-That's really sick holy Mitra. Young master got quite the unique taste."

"Aye not like I wanted to do it. Bastard was resilient as fuck, what could I do?"

They continued their sweet and sour chitchat under the lights of a shining full moon. The road basked in the moonlight that managed to escape traps set by the leaves in the thick forest. They have left the confines of Markostein and are now in the Great Forest of East, Sylphenum, although, not for too long. The atmosphere around them is very calm and cold, although it isn't winter. Sylphenum is a very quiet forest, known for its dangerous hunters lurking in the deep forests. Behind, up or even below the trees. There's a saying that goes like 'Sylphenum has three realms, one is above the heads of the passersby and one is below their feet.'

Jin looks behind after talking for while with no reply to notice that she is sleeping holding the rope tightly still. She has fallen asleep sometime earlier. He smiles and looks forward again. He navigates through the forest all night.

"Mary, Mary. Mary, wake up. It is morning already."

The sun has started to come out of its sleep. All the bird's and the animals are singing their morning song. It's like a brand-new start of life after a dreadful war with the night. The colors of Sylphenum can only be consumed at the start of a day when the civilizations of flowers begin them to rebuild their glory lands full of freshness to capture their ally.

"Good morning young master. I apologize for falling into slumber last night."

"Don't fret over it. However, the more pressing matter is, we have no food and I've got quite the monster in my belly you see."

"Let's stop here for moment then, young master." Mary speaks before disappearing in the thick woods.

'Ah such speed. I should learn blitzwalk from her.' We will need four or more days more days to reach the southern outskirts of Markostein. It will be too slow. Damn you orc pigs, if only you were a bit faster. It's no point worrying about it now. I need to work on some solutions to overcome this. The roads would've been a faster method to travel on but I don't have the money nor can I take this lump of meat to the streets. Fuck this shit, I'm high I need food or I'll go insane. Hey, come to think of it, why hasn't she come back yet? It's been five minutes already; she must've caught a rabbit or a quizzel already. What happened?

"Aaaaah"

What? A scream? It's not Marry's voice though. I should go check out. But the orc pig will run away. Well, I'll find another one.

Jin runs into the thick forest with his bag.

The sound came from the north east and about roughly fifty meters away. Mary went that way too. And.... Found it.

Jin sees two people lying at the ground looking straight ahead. He tilts his head to discovers a giant beast.

It's huge, damn. What is it? A Scalethen or a Scalemon? If it's a scalemon then I'm fucked. Well, only one way to find out.

Jin takes his bag from back and opens it. There's a sword inside among various other miscellaneous items. Jin takes his sword and runs forward. The beast was about to attack his two preys with his sharp claws.

[Scalethon: A sylphenum beast which has a body made of sharp scales like a snake. But these scales have a very high durability and can be used as projectiles. It walks on four legs attached to its body like a scorpions would. It also has a large tail which is almost as big as it's body. This leg is very flexible and agile because it shoots its scales from its tails. The scales from his body slides down into its tail once he shoots his lower scales. It has about two hands each equipped with five claws that can even pierce metals. It is about five meters tall.

Strength: Lv-4-G-2

Scalemon: A scalemon has a similar phyisique to scalethon but a scalemon has manipulation capabilities rather than projectile scales. But scalemon's manipulation is far deadlier than scalethon's scale projection. They also have a large reserve of manipulation energy. It is believed that scalemons are just the evolved version of scalethons.

Manipulation ability: Lv-4-G-5]

Jin attacks its palms to protect the stranger from getting in the harm's way. He attacks for the middle of the palm but his sword slides through the claws. Unable to cut through its skin. He pushes his sword side-wards, at the beast's way. The beast backs away for a little and Jin gets in the middle between the beast and the strangers. With deep tone he says "Backout, get to a safe place."

The beast backs out and gets into guarding pose.

It's moving its tail, is it gonna use ability or the scales? Here it comes.
