*** This story will be temporarily on hold. I am sorry to my readers if I can't continue to write this at the moment. I plan to finish The Royal Contract first this month before continuing to write this one. Again, I am asking for your understanding. Due to financial reasons, I need to write a new book for now. A Contract to Marry the Cold-hearted CEO I hope you will give it a try. Thanks again for reading my stories. *** Little girls dreamed of sparkling tiaras and fancy gowns. Little boys wanted to drive fast cars. Well, could she have both? And the father she had never met as a bonus. Luisa was the spunky, street-smart girl next door that wanted her life to have meaning. She lived her life like she was not exceptional except when she was behind the wheel, racing for the finish line. But was that all she wanted? One day, a man dressed up in an impeccable suit came up to her and told her she was a princess, heir to the throne. Insane, right? He was a prince and a successful tycoon who almost had everything except one thing. He wanted the crown. But he had no birthright to rule the Kingdom. Until he discovered there was another way for him to become King. However, he had to agree to the conditions and convince his future Queen of his plans. Easy, right? Would an arrangement be the solution to what they both desire? Would Luisa submit to what Liam proposed? Or would they get more than what they bargained for in the end? Note: This story is related to the Royal Contract book. Still, it is a standalone story. There is no need to read the other book to understand it. The party was as she had predicted it would be. It was loud, rowdy, extravagant, and lively. What else would she expect from a bunch of drunk ladies who just wanted to have fun?
"Hey, Luisa, where are you going?" Nat asked, looking tipsy and a bit unbalanced.
They played several games during the party, but the last one had everyone going crazy. Whoever lost a turn had to drink a shot.
Unfortunately, Nat lost a lot. She could not escape the punishment, even if she had been one of the organizers.
"I just like to take some fresh air outside." She told her friend, wanting some alone and quiet time. "I'll be back soon."
She enjoyed the party just like the rest of the other guests, but she still felt like an outsider. Maybe it would take time before she could be comfortable acting like them.
Fortunately, she could hold her liquor well. She still had her full function as she exited the villa where they conducted the party.
