CH 6 Goblin Hunting
After thinking about it for a while he decides to go to bed as the mission started towards the end of the day. He wakes up seeing he has 64 hours still. He decides to do his morning training. After messing around for a bit he figures out while wearing the Alucard gloves if he puts some magic with it and almost makes a spear like figure with his hand by putting his fingers together it makes a piercing effect. After that he decides it's time to go on the mission. Not knowing where the Goblins are he starts sneaking through the forest going from tree to tree.
After searching for a while he finally finds a goblin. While he is disappointed it is just one he thought this would be good practice for when he uses a scythe. He jumps down from the tree and the goblin turns around. The goblin instantly runs at him with a jagged dagger. Jack squats down a bit and launches forward with his scythe. Then as you see the golden trail of where the scythes blade went the goblin collapses cut in half. Jack picks up the core and moves on.
(A/N Remember he is level two so even with the medium amount of technique he is now from the books he is also just straight faster than the goblin.)
After some time he kills 49 more goblins and it took him the whole day. It took this long to kill 50 because he could never find them in groups the most he could find was 2 at a time. Jack a little disappointed because he wanted to finish in one day let's out an audible sigh through his mouth. Kyra steps in and says *You know if you wanted to find more you could have transformed to see if you could sniff them out. Goblins have a terrible smell and you would find them easy.* Jack rubbing his temples asks "Why did you not say that earlier?" Kyra giggling said *Because I was not sure if you were ready but after seeing you today with minor injuries and scratches. I figured you were ready.* Jack gives another audible sigh and decides to go to bed and prepare for tomorrow.
Kyra wakes him up again at sunrise and he goes through his morning training again. After that he transforms into his Byakko form and goes to the forest. Going from tree to tree going faster than he did yesterday he finds a couple goblins but decides to wait. Jack decided to wait because he wants to see if the goblins will lead him somewhere with more of them. After a couple hours of following them he finally sees them going to a village. Jack worries it might be the village he is suppose to protect realizes how bad of shape the village is in. The walls are just mud and dirt mounds that go around the tiny little huts. With a slightly big here hit towards the back of the village. After further inspecting he sees that it is a goblin village run by a goblin chief. With a couple hobgoblins acting as personal guards. Jack sitting on the top of the tree transforms back to his human form.
"Can I win" Jack asks Kyra. Kyra expecting him to jump right in was a little shocked and said *Yes but it is going to be very hard*
"How many are there" Jack ask jumping down from the tree pulling out his scythe and putting it on his back in a way where he can put his two arms over the top to press the scythe on his shoulders. *From what I can tell from the area there are 210 goblins 1 chief goblin and 2 hobgoblins protecting the chief.* Kyra says while scanning the area. "Damn should have just came here would have already been done." Jack says as he gets closer and closer to the village. He decides to buy 3 stimpaks each coating 10 SP just in case he gets in trouble. This being the last of his SP he really needs to complete the mission.
(A/N for those who don't know stimpaks are a heal item that fixes one limb per injection or just heals you in general if you don't have broken limbs.)
After making his way closer to the front of the village a goblin sees him and give a screeching scream that alerts all the goblins in the village. As he sees them approaching he starts twirling his scythe around like it's a baton. Then he gets surrounded by some of the goblins he lunges forward and cuts the first goblin he sees head off. They all start charging him. One goblin starts stabbing at him from the front but he blocks it with the end of the spear part of the scythe. As another one comes from the back he twirls the scythe using the gigantic blade to cover his back. After blocking like this for awhile have twirling his scythe to block attacks. He gets cut up as more and more goblins start to approach and surround.
He decides to use his menace causing all the goblins to flinch. With this opening he starts his attack lunging to the first goblin he cuts him in half. After respecting this process several time by lunging towards the next goblin every time he lands. The goblins can not see anything but a blur. Jack eyes and hair start to light up as his dark red streaks and dark red eyes begin to look like bright red blood. His normal dark red eyes that look powerful yet dormant. All of a sudden look like they could pierce into someone's soul. After bringing the number of Goblins down significantly he begins to see them run towards the goblin chief. Not wanting any of them to get away he moves on animalistic instinct only and charges the rest making his way to the chief goblin.
After killing most of the regular goblins he sees he only has some minor cuts and makes his way towards the chief goblin. Than out of no where one of the hobgoblins punches the side of Jacks body that Jack blocks with his arm. While it only cause him to slide and he did not feel any pain because of his blood rage ability which weakens his senses to pain and awareness a bit. He notices that his is actually bending the wrong way. Seeing that he uses a stimpak on the arm as it snaps back in place and heals causing more pain then the actual breaking of the arm. He tried to calm down to think but can not as he killed so many goblins that his blood rage is still taking over him. He charges the hobgoblin running on instinct and the thirst to kill alone. Then the second hobgoblin shows up trying to punch him Jack sees this and jumps to the side. With both hobgoblins on the side of him he prepares for a hard fight. Both the goblins pull out great swords as well. Jack seeing how poorly a condition the swords are only assumes they got it off travelers who were passing by awhile ago.
Jack lunges toward the hobgoblin on the left who broke his arm early. Doing this his scythe extends upwards making it look like a spear as he spins his body at devastating speed while the scythe rotates with him cutting the hobgoblin in half instantly. He then lunges towards the hobgoblin who blocks his attack with his sword as he saw what happened to the other hobgoblin. The sword while blocking the attack has a cut cut halfway through the sword. Since Jack was shocked the hobgoblin blocked the attacked he stopped for a moment but moved just in time where the hobgoblin could only leave a long bloody scratch on his face. With the devastating force the hobgoblin used his great sword got stuck in the ground. This gave Jack the opportunity to cut off the arms of the hobgoblin who was trying to pull the sword out. The hobgoblin then charged Jack head first. Seeing this Jack wanted to try something. He stuck his scythe into the ground. Charging up his Alucard gloves and putting it in a spear like form by putting his fingers together he side stepped the charging hobgoblin while driving the piercing force into the chest of the hobgoblin. Jack was happy as it pierced through the hobgoblin and Jack pulled out it's still beating heart as he threw it at the dead hobgoblin.
The chief goblin seeing all this was horrified. From living so long he had some intelligence and knew that he could not escape so he tried to fight. The chief goblin was a magic caster. He started launch fire bolts at Jack. Jack seeing this took the hits as his armor was resistant to fire. Jack picked up his scythe and launched himself towards the goblin chief. Jack cut the back of both the chief goblins knees and the chief goblin fell forward on his hands in extreme pain screeching out. Jack landed on the chief goblins back he put the scythe on the chiefs neck and decapitated him moving his scythe upwards.

Jack being happy to complete his first mission started jumping around. As his blood rage completely dissipated his body completely ached. The amount of tension put on his body almost made him pass out as he activated is menace aura to keep himself aware. With a few seconds he injected a stimpak into himself and started to feel his body recover a bit. "Kyra why is my body under so much pressure and soreness." Jack asked worried he is about to die from the amount of pain. * It's because of the blood rage ability when under that ability it puts all your muscles under extreme tension and brings the most out of them. Also with the amount of time you were under blood rage being longer than you have been before it put a tax on your body.* Kyra said trying to reassure Jack that he is fine. *Also since you are probably wondering some missions have secret bonuses such as this one.* Kyra said thinking ahead of Jack. Jack seeing that it was getting dark and after taking in that information slowly made his way back to his cave while trying to sneak so he would not get detected by anything. Finally making it back he collapses and instantly falls asleep on his bed.
