Chapter 33 - Bright

I watched as the rays of sunlight slowly crept into my room. From extreme darkness, I watched as the room slowly came to light.

I haven't had any sleep after I found out. The moment I stepped into this room after that conversation with Mary, I was lying on my bed pretending to be asleep. I close my eyes but my mind is wide awake. I couldn't keep my thoughts away and get myself to sleep.

I started to get myself to remember how I ended up here, how I agreed to continue my life in this palace in exchange for being able to take my necklace back and start a new life. 

I haven't even been able to take my necklace back and I've already been though a lot in this palace.

As much as the thought pains me, I still don't regret a thing. I enjoyed being in this palace unlike where I was from. 

Which must be why I feel worried. 

So much that I couldn't even fall asleep.
