Act 19. Little Blood Red Box

The room was very small. It was located in the basement of Yvoxy's house, and indeed, almost all senior wizards had secret dungeons within their houses, usually built to store valuable objects.

Yvoxy then let go of Rae's hand, opened a brown cupboard, which looked very dirty, even though it was estimated that the cupboard itself was already very old, by comparison, Yvoxy herself was one hundred and sixteen years old.

After she opened that dirty old cupboard, Yvoxy then took out a small blood red box, then gave it to Rae, and whispered softly, "If Lyxia really wants to fix this situation, since she herself is the only cause of Demona's awakening, then give this to her. if you meet Lyxia again in your dreams in the future."

Rae then looked at the small blood red box very carefully without opening it at all, then she looked at Yvoxy with a facial expression filled with confusion, then asked, "What is this, Yvoxy? Are you sure that this thing can make the current situation back to the way it used to be? But if only she wants to seal Demona, then one day, that seal will break again and this event will definitely happen again, yeah, it is looping, Yvoxy!"

Yvoxy nodded after hearing Rae's statement just now, then replied, "That's right. Demona will rise again if she is only resealed. However, just give this box to Lyxia. She can, of course, put an end to Demona. But there are two conditions she must fulfill and she must obtain, if she wants to use this thing, and she must agree to both."

Rae immediately asked again, "What are the conditions?"

Yvoxy then approached Rae's ear, then whispered very quietly, "There's only one chance, that's the first. If she doesn't succeed in defeating Demona after using this thing, then it's over, and things like this will keep repeating, we seal Demona and that seal will break again. And secondly, she cannot and will not, ever be able to defeat Demona if no one is willing to sacrifice for her. A person whose sacrifice was sincere for Lyxia's sake, then with the power of sincerity from that person's sacrifice, Lyxia will be able to defeat Demona. It is called true love, and she must be able to find her own true love."

Rae started to get annoyed at Yvoxy's answer, she then put the box back into the old cupboard with rudeness. Yvoxy looked at what Rae had just done with a confused face.

Rae herself started to get very annoyed, then said to Yvoxy, "If there is such a thing in this wizard world, why don't you just use it? What kind of strange conditions are that? Demona can't be defeated if that person doesn't want to sacrifice for Lyxia's sake? True love? It's a lie, there's no such thing as true love, Yvoxy! All those feelings of love will fade within the time!"

Yvoxy then laughed at Rae's words, then replied in an annoyed tone, "Rae! This thing was given to me by your grandmother! I wasn't the cause for giving Demona's life back again, nor was your grandmother, Ramona, or you, but Lyxia! Her last heart shard is in this small box, then she gave it to me, and said if one day there is a fool who breaks the seal of Demona, give this to her, however, since this is the last shard of Ramona's heart, yes, the terms and conditions are – hard, Rae!"

Suddenly, Rae took out that small blood red box again from the dirty old cupboard, even though she herself had previously placed that box in the dirty old cupboard. This time Yvoxy really looked at Rae with an astonished expression.

Rae herself blushed on her face, then said, "Oh well, this is the last shard of my grandmother's heart, then I'll try it later, if I ever meet Lyxia again, I'll tell her all those weird conditions! Alright, Yvoxy, I'm leaving!"

Rae then walked towards the door, about to leave the room, however, she then stopped in her steps when Yvoxy suddenly exclaimed, "If Lyxia fails to defeat Demona, this will be over. And if she cannot find someone who is willing to sacrifice himself for Lyxia sincerely, too, she will fail. All of this will be nothing!"

Rae neither answered nor looked back. She immediately continued to walk forward then left the room. Then, she climbed the stairs to go back upstairs, and when she arrived at Yvoxy's kitchen again, she then raised her right hand forward and with her magic power, a magic door appeared. Rae then went inside and immediately closed it, after that, the door disappeared.

Rae had arrived at her own house, to be precise, in her own kitchen. She started muttering, "Okay, I have to sleep and meet Lyxia. I hope that she will come back in my dreams, and I'll hand this thing over to her right away!"

Rae ran to the second floor of her house in a rush, then opened the bedroom door, went inside and closed the door in a hurry. She also rushed to her bed, and laid down.

She then tightly hugged the small blood red box, then tried to fall asleep.

After a few minutes she closed her eyes, for some reason, she then opened her eyes again, then muttered, "Wait a minute. Yvoxy didn't say what the other risk than failing to defeat Demona, if Lyxia chooses to use this thing. But, oh well! If this is indeed the only way for Lyxia to atone for her sins, I will be happy to help her! Lyxia, I will help you, don't worry!"

Rae then tried to fall asleep again, however, she could not calm down at all, kept tossing and turning her body left and right, somehow, she was very restless. Rae then lifted that small box, then looked at it with a sharp gaze. The small blood red box looked very scary.

"What's the risk, huh? This box itself is so scary, that I don't even dare to open it at all. This box alone is so scary, it's just the color, blood red. Grandma, actually, why did you have to prepare this? Didn't you think that this has gone too far? What exactly happened to you and Demona before all this happened?" Rae muttered again.

She then hugged that small box tightly again, then closed her eyes again and tried to fall asleep. Time passed, the ticking of the clock on the wall began to sound louder and louder. Rae started to drift off to sleep, however, she did not dream of Lyxia at all.

Rae did not wake up again, this time. She was dreaming of something else. In her dream, she saw the sky in this wizard world was very beautiful, blue sky.

The sun was shining brightly, as if it was noon. There was also someone that Rae knew very well, her grandmother, Ramona, still looked very young, maybe she was thirty-five years old back then.
