Chapter Seventy-Eight: Not a Good Feeling
Percy's POV
Second had received a message from Third. That's all I knew, and the fact that the message was most certainly bad news, with how Second had been asking if I was done every five minutes.
I nodded to my barber again to keep working. I hadn't had a good haircut for weeks. Maybe the little miss kept ignoring me because I was horrible to look at. Or I was just overthinking.
"All done," the barber announced, looking down at my hair with pride. I noticed Second exhale in relief, as if he had been the one having his hair cut.
The cleaning-up took another eight minutes. Second opened all the doors for me so I'd leave faster and told the driver to head for the estate when I got in.
I didn't plan to go anywhere else, but why go to the estate while it was still morning? No one would be there.
"So, Third sent me a message," Second started.
