12. A statue, not

Vivian stood outside of Gavin's office and tried opening the door but it didn't seem to budge one bit. 𝑰𝒔 𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍? 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕, 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝒏𝒐𝒘...

She stared at the door as the silence in the whole hallway took over, 𝑰 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒅𝒐 𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏. She prepared herself and teleported into his office, 𝒐𝒉 𝒘𝒐𝒘,𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒅.

Vivian never expected that to work since she thought Gavin would have some sort of security barrier around his office to keep out unnecessary people from going in there, whenever they want.

"Oh well, this could work better for me...but this isn't considered trespassing is it?" She whispered to herself as the room was in complete darkness, the window in his room isn't helping at all, 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒔𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒕.

She started fumbling around the place, unable to see a single thing that was in her way and whatnot. Her hands traced around the room walls, hoping to find a light switch but to her disappointment, it was nowhere to be found.

"Is his office usually this big?" Vivian mumbled out as she continued tracing around the room like a complete idiot until her hands touched something which had a weird shape.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈? She fumbled around the thing she was touching, it felt soft and silky and it also seemed like it had a human face. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅, 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒌 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆? 𝑫𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒇𝒕?

Vivian knocked on the so-called statue and was half-convinced that it was a statue yet it also doesn't feel like one. She kept her focus on the soft and silky feeling and pulled it.

"What are you doing?!" She got taken aback when the thing moved and spoke out to her. The lights suddenly turned on and in front of her was a sleepy-looking Gavin, 𝒐𝒉...𝒔𝒐 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒂 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒐𝒍𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈.

"Umm...good morning?" Gavin stared at Vivian as like he was going to devour her soul. She nervously smiled and soon noticed the ears on his head that was flopped down.

𝑨𝒘𝒘𝒘~ 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔~! She couldn't help but touch and caress the ears of Gavin's. 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒔𝒐 𝒔𝒐𝒇𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒌𝒚!

"Hey hands off my ears!" Gavin hit Vivian's hands away from him, making her pout. It was her first time seeing Gavin in his werewolf form and now she can't even touch his ears.

Whenever she sees Gavin, he would be in his human form and stay in his office so not many people have seen it before.

"You know, you should be in your werewolf form often, it's cute~" Vivian smiled as she reached out her hand to touch Gavin's ears again and this time he didn't reject the touch.

He closed his eyes and rested on his table, 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒎𝒔 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒅...𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝑰 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈? She patted Gavin's head and it somehow was calming to him.

He felt the warm and smooth touches of hers that made him fall back into dreamland slowly. Vivian stopped when Gavin was not moving, 𝑰 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒂𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒑. 𝑶𝒉 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍, 𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝒏𝒐 𝒘𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒆'𝒔 𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒅.

She smiled at the sight of him sleeping soundly, this is the first time she has ever seen him up close... Vivian squatted down beside Gavin, who was sleeping peacefully.

She stared at the sleeping face, his face was relaxed making him look like a gentle angel. 𝑻𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒆'𝒔 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒌 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔?

Vivian stood back up and used her magic to lift Gavin up from the desk and placed him on the couch in his office. She even gave him a blanket for him to get warm with, 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒆'𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒓, 𝑰 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊'𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐...

She went over to his desk and took out a pen and a paper from his desk and started writing the lines for him, though she can't finish the lines today since she has other matters to attend to like lessons and that, after school.

𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕...𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔- Vivian scrunched her nose and took a look around Gavin's desk and finally found where the light switch was.

"My goodness dear electricity...out of all places, it's by the side of the desk the whole time...Won't he be electrocuted one day like this?" She muttered out, seeing that the light switch was by the side of the table, hopelessly.

𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒂 𝒕𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒃𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒕 𝒖𝒑 𝑮𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒊𝒇 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒅...Vivian sighed as she continued with her things.

𝑺𝑶𝑴𝑬 𝑯𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑺 𝑳𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑹 —————————

𝑼𝒈𝒉𝒉...𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏? Gavin thought as he opened his eyes and tried to adjust them to the brightness. He sat up on the couch and got hold of the blanket that was on him. He shook his head, looking around and knowing that he was in his office.

𝑰 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒂𝒎 𝑰 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉...𝒘𝒂𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝑰 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒌? He looked over to his desk and there was Vivian fast asleep on the desk.

𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕...𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒃𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒃𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕. 𝑺𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓...Gavin touched his hair and sighed before walking over to Vivian and placed the blanket over her. 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍, 𝑰'𝒎 𝒈𝒍𝒂𝒅 𝒂𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒑𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓...

When he placed the blanket over her, he noticed papers of words written on them, 𝒐𝒉 𝒘𝒐𝒘 𝒔𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒉𝒖𝒉? He unknowingly smiled and ruffled his hair, not knowing what he should do with the bunny in his office.

Gavin bent down to the level of the table and took a closer look at Vivian, her facial features were defined, her sharp nose and her long eyelashes which were natural. Her shiny silver hair tops off with her pretty light pink lips.

𝑰 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒚... His eyes slowly drifted down to her lips and he could feel the tension rise in him. He quickly looked away and stood up, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒎 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈... 𝑮𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏 𝑹𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒕, 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒂 𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒑 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇.

Gavin sighed, taking a look at the wall clock that shows 7.50am. 𝑳𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒊𝒏 10 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔...he knew that Vivian had lessons but he decided to let her sleep in a little since he knew she woke up early just to come here.

I guess I'll go and freshen myself up a little then. He took a small glance over at Vivian before teleporting out of his office, back to his dorm. Surprisingly he saw his brother there, sitting on the couch.

"What brings you here brother?"

"Oh hey Gavin, I came here to take a look around and check how's Star Rise High doing. So how is it?" Gavin's brother, Victor asked. He sighed and took a seat beside his brother.

"It's okay..."

"Hmm? Okay? Your expression tells me something else more than just okay." Victor could tell that Gavin very well when something bad has happened and can tell what's on his mind.

Both the brothers had golden blonde hair, making them seem like real-life kens. Gavin had eyes that were yellow, bright like the sun while Victor had lapis blue eyes that were as dark as the ocean.

They both had a different set of personalities that made people who have seen them before wonder if they were really siblings. Victor was kind and nice but when trouble stirs, he wouldn't be nice unless it's something trivial. Gavin was just like a block of ice, his cold, scary, and most importantly the way he talks is just cold out flat.

The brothers make it seem like there's fire and ice in their household and their mother wasn't around anymore. Due to an incident that happened when the two were still young, their mother got killed by an unknown vampire that appeared and pierced a knife through her and there was a strong poison that was on the knife.

They had to see their mother collapse in front of them as the poison spread in her body quickly. The two were so young and had to see something tragic happen before their eyes, their father tried finding the murderer, who in the end got caught and had their head chopped off along with their limbs.

Their father did everything on his wife's behalf to take care of the kids well and promised to kill any vampires that still existed, that's what the father told young Gavin and Victor to do as they grew up.

"Show no mercy, don't give in, don't be kind cause they are a dangerous species." That was what their father told them and they had to listen to him even if they didn't know much about vampires at that young age.

Their dad was the only one left, that supported the two all the way till now, alone. Their dad was a rich werewolf that owns multiple companies in the world and is still on the top rankings. Star Rise High is also under their father's name and he made Victor a caretaker here for the school.

Since now there aren't any vampires, they don't have to worry too much but can't be too relaxed either as who knows, some may be under hiding.

"Fine...it's not a big deal though, just that there's a bunny that seems to be a little too carefree and I don't know whether to say if she's pestering me or not."
