Chapter Twenty Eight: Unavoidable

Raven and Gooblin stood by the now giant red colum of light blasting into the sky, which had managed to hold back the energy blast from raining down from the sky. Though, Raven found herself questioning more things about Gooblin now considering he knew something about the eye and what it was.

" Gooblin helped" He squeaked happily though Raven wanted some answers. " Gooblin, how did the eye get there? How did you know how to activate it? " Raven asked which made Gooblin tilt his head to the side in a curious like manner. " I found eye. I talk to eye. It said it help " Gooblin answers which confused Raven even more so. " Wait..so it can talk to you?" Raven looked back to the eye but hearing nothing other than the sound of the energy blasting towards to the sky. " Yes" he answers. Raven now turns to the eye and figures she would give talking to it a proper try. " Um. Hello..eye? Can you tell me who you are? How you got here? " She asked but recieved no response. The only voice she heard was Gooblins laughter. " Eye says it busy " Gooblin found this hilarious but Raven did not laugh. " Yeah..well...I still want to know more about it. But..." Raven turns to Gooblin. " Since the Wish room has been destroyed, do you know of any other way to bring the Lycans back? " She knew this was a long shot but she hoped Gooblin had a proper suggestion.

" No more wishes. No way to bring back wolfers " he smiles yet somehow seemed sad at the same time. Raven sighed from the disappointment " Dammit, well there has to be a way though.." Raven looked back to the eye. " This seems like the last power source of magic within the world and its the only thing that is keeping us safe" Raven was running out of ideas quickly and wasn't sure she could bring the Lycan's back at this point. There seemed to be no phesiable way to make it happen.

" I could try to make a spell of some sort and just risk it. If it's going to save the Underworld..then I think it's worth it" Raven says to herself though Gooblin Objects. " if Raven does spell. Raven might die" his words were true. And Raven knew the risk that went into it but she also knew this was worth it. Something had to be done about the situation.

Meanwhile back home, Shawn was playing with Penelope. " You are going to grow up so big and so strong. You are going to be a real butt kicker, aren't you? " Shawn smiled at his inoccent child, who had no idea how troubled the world around her was. She was the true joy within the world for Shawn. He knew she would grow up to be someone amazing. She would change the world, he could feel it.

" She is beautiful, Shawnia " a voice called from behind Shawn. And though he didn't turn around, he knew who the voice belonged to. " Back so soon, mother? " he was not happy to hear from her. Not after what happened the last time he saw her.

His mother walked over to his side so she could get a better look at Penelope. " You know we love you son. I'm not a fan of this either..you have to know that " She sighed as she smiled down at young Penelope. " Why? Why do I have to Kill Gabriel? " Shawn did not bother to look at his mother and instead continued playing with Penelope.

" Because of reasons that you don't understand yet. The Underworld, it is different from the other worlds. It is so...maluable. It can be toyed with and changed so much by the decisions of others, or at least that is what most people think. But there are things that the world needs and without them, the world is not stable. Everything that has been done, every word, every decision that had been made, affects as to whether the world can be sustained or not. And unfortunately, the wrong decisions have been made " his mother explains.

" Well those decisions can be corrected though. Every person makes mistakes" Shawn couldn't believe the world would be so unforgiving. " Yes, they can be corrected. But that means the world has to reset. Things that have been done cannot be undone. This world combats that reality but resetting. Now whether we like it or not, this has to happen. And unfortunately, Gabriel has to die in order for that to happen" his mother turns to him and places her hand on his shoulder. " You need to do this. I know it's hard. I know you don't want to. That is why your father offered to do it. To spare you from the hardship. We don't act out of anger, we only act to protect and restore and keep things in balance. As our son, our last son, you have to do the same" She explains, as Shawn thinks over her words.

" So if I don't kill him..the world will end..? " Shawn turns to her, as Penelope looks on with a smile.

" Yes. Don't mess this up Shawn. Because if you do..you won't like the result " And with that, his mother pulls out a tiny bracelet, small and layered with red beads, and reaches down to place it on Penelope's wrist.

" For her, she is beautiful Shawn. You and Raven did an amazing job " And with that, she vanished. Leaving Shawn and Penelope alone.
