Chapter Twenty Seven: Blood And Soil

Santara follows behind Gabriel. His fist clenched and his face, showing no emotion had her slightly concerned. He didn't seem to have any words for her. He seemed as though he would be happier without her being there. And this bothered Santara.

" I gathered the army..and we are ready to attack when you are.." She smiles as she tries to skip her way around him. Though he continues walking back towards the castle. Once inside, he heads to his room and begins searching for some suitable clothes. Santara however would not let up on her pursuit of his approval though. She needed to know that he had noticed her. That he would validate how well she had taken care of.

" I watched it happen ya know.." She stopped moving, looking to him for any type of reaction. " I watched her Kill Vickie in cold blood. She has somehow managed to harness her magic significantly than the last time you saw her. She could be dangerous..I could come with you. I have a score to settle. I know she is strong but I can take her. I can make her suffer for what she did to us. She has been nothing but a complete pain for our people. Please let me handle her.. " She watches as he puts on the dark long sleeve Grey shirt and finds some suitable pants he brought with him from earth.

Once his pants were on, he stood, paused, staring into nothingness, facing the window.

" Gabriel...? " Santara calls out to him, and within the blink of her eyes, he had her pinned against the wall with one hand wrapped around her throat, squeezing tightly enough for her to struggle for an actual full breath.

" If you watched it happen. Then why didn't do something about it? " he growls, his voice had changed. He was deeper in tone..angry. in fact, he was the epidemy of rage.

" I..tried" She begins to choke as she grips onto his forearm. Struggling and fearing that he would kill her right then and there.

" You didn't try hard enough. The next time, you either succeed or you die there. But don't return home otherwise" he releases his grip which drops her to the ground.

" What has gotten into you? " She asked, coughing and rubbing her throat, in genuine fear which slightly turned her on as breathes deeply to replace her oxygen levels"

Gabriel grabs his bag and walks out the door and stops. " I know what you were trying to do to me. And if you ever try something like that again..I'm going to kill you in front of the entire Kingdom. And they will watch and cheer that the scum of the sisters has been cleansed from our people" he throws the bag over his shoulder and proceeds to walk out of town.

Santara wasn't entirely sure what monster she had released upon the world. But In some sick and twisted way, she couldn't be happier.

Kara and Aurora are enjoying a nice lunch when out of nowhere, Shawn appears at the table with girl whom.they had not seen before..well at least Kara hadn't..but Aurora had.

" Kara this Is Raven and Raven this is Kara " Shawn makes the proper introductions. Not making eye contact with Aurora.

" What is she doing here Shawn..she is a wanted criminal " Aurora says dissapointedly to Shawn.

Raven smiles and waves at Aurora " Hello to you too your highness"

Kara had no idea how her mother and Raven knew one another but she could sense that whatever the history was, it wasn't good. Though the criminal part did catch her interest slightly more.

" Look. We are here because we have messed some things up...a bit..alot..kind of..sort of..um.." Shawn says nervously. Raven can't take her eyes off of Kara and the same with Kara. It was strange because Kara could sense the overwhelming kind energy that Raven possessed and yet somehow she was a criminal? It was though Raven was studying Kara.

" What did you do..." Aurora leans foward, growing more and more concerned by the second.

" So we may have woke Gabriel up. And given the last things that he learned about Kara before the coma..and on top of the fact that he probably knows Victoria's death is on Kara's hands..means he is probably coming for her".

Aurora falls back in the chair.

" What the hell is wrong with you?" Aurora brings her palm to her forehead.

" Well that is ridiculous..he may hate me. But he wouldn't come here to kill me. That would be a bit over the top for him. " Kara looks around the room but doesn't seem to get the feeling that anyone else shared her opinions.

" So..Santara had basically isolated his body and was trying to bring him back but was failing. She was also trying to claim him as her mate which she didn't get the chance to do luckily. But the chemicals that she used..could have possibly had some adverse effects as well. She didn't entirely know what she doing despite what she thought"

Queen Aurora laughs. " Well that sounds alot like someone else I know at this table. Scratch that. Two people"

Raven and Shawn hold their heads down in shame.

" Well either way. If I just talk to him I think it will be fine. And even if he did try something. I can defend myself. I've made so much progress and I have exceeded mom's expectations..right mom? "

Kara looks to Aurora who nods I'm agreement

" Yes. But Gabriel is a capable warrior. And lethal when he wants to be. He is the strongest of his kind. The strongest that has ever existed actually. And that is why I think it is best to have you leave for somewhere else for the time being at least"

Raven begins holding her head and groaning in pain. " What is it Rave? " Shawn places his hand on her in concern for her safety.

Images begin flashing through Ravens head in rapid succession. " Sometimes I get these..visions. And that...is what is happening its just " She clenches her head even harder which makes Shawn grow more concerned along with Kara and Aurora.

" He is on his way. And he looks pissed " Raven manages to get out when the visions and the pain begins to cease. " He is coming. And from what I can tell..he is very much coming for Kara. And not with good intentions"

Kara shoots up from her chair. " Like I said, I'm not going anywhere dammit. I am staying right here. No.." She thinks for a moment " I'm going to go to him. I need to see him. I know none of you have faith in me on this. I'm not a child and I can handle this. This is between me and Gabriel either way. " Aurora tries to intervene but Kara continues. " Just let me talk to him and if he comes at me, I will leave. "

Aurora looks at Shawn and Raven and finally relents" Fine. Fine. But if you die..you are grounded for life. Literally"

Kara could tell wether this was a joke or not but it did lighten the tension. I'll be back in a moment then..." Kara snaps her fingers and much in the same way Shawn does, disspears from the room. Leaving everyone shocked.

" Did you know she could do that " Raven looked at Shawn who seemed just as confused." No.." he answered..

Gabriel continues walking straight, not wavering and not changing his speed whatsoever. He has one thing on his mind. Months ago he would've never dreamed of such things but now..now things were different. He had nothing left in the world, and felt alone. Though, this was the most comfortable he had felt in his entire life.

And then, suddenly, almost as if his wish had come true. There she was, Kara. Standing before him. Looking both happy to see him and yet terrified. " Gabe.." Kara calls to him. He continues walking towards her, the blank expression remaining on his face.

It had been so long since they last layed eyes on one another and so much had changed. Kara took a few steps foward before they are staring each other down, face to face.

" Why did you come to me Kara" Gabriel's tone was something she had not heard from him before. It wasn't sadness. But it also wasn't happiness.

Kara smiles and brushes a few stray strands of hair from her eyes. " Because. I've missed you. I have missed you every since the moment I walked away. But I was stupid. And I didn't want to face things for what they were and I was wrong" Kara takes another step closer and opens her arms and wraps them tightly around him. It was his warmth, it was his smell, he was real. It was Gabriel.

" I did so many stupid things that ended up getting you hurt. And I know I wasn't there when you needed me to be" Kara struggles to explain her actions, looking back on them. They made her seem horrible. " I got married..to a vampire named Pierce. My goal was to get as close to him as possible so that he could take me to you. I wasn't strong enough at the time to get to you on my own. And that was the only thing I could think of. And..I had to do alot of things that I'm not proud of" Sadness filled Kara up completely but no matter how much she needed to, she couldn't cry. It was almost as though she had run out of tears.

" Your people have nothing but excuses. You have no idea what I went through. " He says, with a tone so cold and foreign to Kara " I know...I just- " Gabriel interrupted her

. " You gave me so much shit about going with Victoria. Something I didn't even truly want to do at the time. And then you went. And got married. While I was going through the worst hell I have ever experienced"

" I'm sorry.." She replies. She knows this doesn't justify her actions but she didn't know what else she could say. She felt horrible for what happened but she didn't know how to make it right even though that was the one thing she wanted to make right.

" And then you took the one thing I had, the one single thing that could help my kingdom. You took Victoria. Because you were selfish" This made Kara let go of him and back up. " It wasn't like that. It was an accident. I don't know what Santara told you but- "

" She dead is Kara. Accident or not. She is dead. It doesn't matter how it happened.It doesn't change anything and it doesn't bring her back to me. To my people..I don't know what I did to you. I don't know what I said. I don't know what I did to deserve this" Kara could feel her heart breaking into a million pieces. He wasn't yelling at her which she would gladly treasure right now. Any form emotion from him. Anything

" You were not my first friend. But you were my bestfriend. You were so much more to me than you could ever realize. And that means nothing to you. And you broke me. All the torture I went through, meant nothing in comparison to learning what you did" Gabriel looks past Kara not even dignifying her with his gaze now.

" You fucked him. Didn't you.." Gabriel continued looking foward but the question caught Kara off guard. " Why would you." She couldn't even finish the question from sheer shock and pain.

" You layed in his bed. You layed with him. And in those moments, I was far from your mind. Wasn't I? " Kara couldn't believe this. Why would he be concerned about such things..it was completely untrue. Of course she thought of him. Every second was him. Every waking second was him. It was always him. It always had been.

" Get out of my way Kara.." He proceeds to walk forward which pushes against her but she pushes back.She was not going to let him walk away without talking. They had handled things so badly in the best and she refused to let it happen again.

" No! You don't get to walk past this dammit. If you want me dead. Then fucking kill me. Because death is something I would gladly welcome at this point knowing how much I hurt you. I can't live with myself. I can't live like this. Knowing how I affected you.. " the tears were forming now but not dripping down her cheek. It was as though they were frozen as well.

" I am not going to kill you. You don't deserve the release of death. You deserve to live with this. If you feel as bad as you say you do. Then you deserve to live with this. I have to. Why shouldn't you?" Her protection was no longer his concern. This was the first time he had freed himself from her holdings on him. He could make his own choices and act freely of her. He had more than fulfilled his obligation.

" Get out of my way Kara" He asks again. Which Kara, again, Denies his request.

" No. Don't fucking do this to us. Don't- Gabriel's fist lands perfectly and firmly within Kara's gut. Silence fell between them and it seemed as if time had completely stopped all together.

Blood spurts out of her mouth, her bowels being voided as well. She fell to her knees, the pain had not registered yet. She only knew she couldn't stop the blood coming from her mouth.

Gabriel proceeds to place his foot on her shoulder which forces her down to the ground, crashes her face against the ground. He takes another step, landing his foot on her lower back, crushing into her spine.

Screams should have rang across the skies but she couldn't manage it. His next step lands on the ground and he proceeds to move past her and continues walking forward.

Kara laid there, a broken, bloody, soil soaked mess even after Gabriel was miles away from her. Her eyes were open as she felt her heart being ripped apart and being sewn back together only to be ripped apart again. Her world was shattering. It is at this point that she hears voices. " I'll take her back to the castle and you go after Gabriel" Kara could feel herself being picked up and being taken away. But she was not the same. She never would be. Not after this.

The next person to appear in front of Gabriel was Shawn. " I know you are angry. I know you are upset. I know that you are feeling lost right now. But what you did to Kara was not okay. And you know that " Shawn pleads as Gabriel continues walking.

" Don't ignore me. I just want to help" Shawn explained and finally Gabriel spoke.

" Thank you for waking me up. But don't interfere with my business Shawn " He continues walking.

" She is my friend too dude. And I'm not happy with what she did either. But noone hates Kara more than herself. She has done her best to get back to you though. You don't know the full story. Trust me just - " Gabriel flips around punches Shawn in the void that contains his face which sends Shawn flying backwards for miles through rocks and trees.

He finally crashes into a mountain which luckily stopped his momentum. " How..how did he get so strong. He shouldn't be able to..." Shawn teleports back to Gabriel who was prepared and punches him again. Shawn was better prepared and latched his footing firmly into the dirt so he didn't fly so far back.

" What the hell happened to you...what did she do to you..." Gabriels eyes are completely Golden now. No circles like he would normally have. Even though he is not in wolf form. " Wait...are you - "

Gabriel launches a full scale rapid attack with punches that Shawn finds himself having trouble guarding against. He was losing

ground fast and wouldn't be able to keep this up much longer. " I can help you Gabriel..I promise I can but you have to trust me. I know you are in there. Don't let it take over" Gabriel launches an uppercut which sends Shawn flying through the air. Gabriel jumps into the air and thrust his fist into the void behind the hood which sends Shawn flying downwards creating large crator in the ground. Gabriel lines himself up, and lands directly on top of Shawn, causing a symphony of cracking bones, All Shawn could do was look up and see Gabriel not even facing him. He had no remorse for.what he had done. And then, Gabriel steps off and continues walking.

Shawn teleported back to Aurora's where Kara is already being treated by Raven and Aurora. Raven turns to him and rushes over to him. She had never seen him this hurt. She didn't even know it was possible for Shawn to be hurt. To get hurt. " What happened to you? " Raven had just seem him not long ago when she picked up Kara to take her back. " We have to leave. We have to get out of here now" He explains nervously. " Why? " Raven asks, fearing that his answer would be Gabriel. There was no way he could do something like this. Not unless.." Bluddavine"
