Chapter Nineteen: The Creation of destruction.

( Warning. This Chapter contains strong sexual themes and graphic descriptions of torture and violence. If you feel that this would make you uncomfortable, then please skip over this chapter)

The sound of water dripping down down into a smaller puddle on the floor as all that Gabriel could hear. He could see nothing but pitch blackness. He could feel nothing but the tight chains clasped around his wrists, legs, waist, and neck. He isn't entirely sure how long he has been trapped here, but he knows he hasn't eaten in a long time. It feels as though days are passed already. His hunger Burns deeply in his stomach, playing a melody of grumbles that lulled him into a deeper sense of despair.

He has been stripped of his clothes and he has large gashes on his body. They had used a mixture of whips and unforgiving metal cables to rip through his kin. Drill holes invaded his shoulders and lashes and the whelts all over him colored with a rainbow of black, blue and Purple.

He knows that the last thing he remembers is climbing up the mountain, and then closing his eyes for a brief second and then fighting himself here. For the longest time all he had heard was nothing but silence. Yet with the occasional few voices that were mumbled crossing by what he can assume is the room he has been placed in. But today, today was a little different. He would be getting a visitor.

" Its been a little bit Gabriel. Ya know the last time I saw you, you were trying to kill me at the birthday party " Gabriel looks up and sees nothing but two white tiny dots peering at him from the shadows. " Jack.." Gabriel says in a weakend voice.

" Of course it's me...you knew this was coming. You knew I would get you someday. I may have not gotten to Kara..but that'll happen in time" He smiles devilishly. Jack steps foward and clenches his fingers tightly onto Gabriel's face, squeezing his cheeks together in a mocking manner.

" I'm so glad that you're awake now. We've been having so much fun with you over the past few days. And I must say.. your body is very durable " Jack lets go to claps his hands together for Gabriel, applauding him. " But..we also aren't done playing our games with you. Please, make yourself comfortable. You are not going to be going anywhere anytime soon " Jack backed away into the darkness as large spears jet out from the ceiling and floor, piercing through Gabriel's sides. He finds that he can't scream. His throat burned..which means on some level he had been screaming and doesn't even remember the horrors that had happened so far. But something told him, he would remember it all from this point foward.

Queen Aurora had come up with every excuse she could think of to delay the wedding until today but now she was out of excuses. The excuses ranged from the day being all wrong or that the wedding needed to be prepared properly. " if you are going to get married..you deserve the best wedding" Aurora would always say. But her tiny objections only got smaller and smaller and lacked more and more logical reasons.

Not so long ago, she was so concerned for Gabriel. She would have given her own life to make sure that he was safe and now she didn't seem to care at all that he could be hurt. But how could have Kara forgotten him so easily. Pierce wasn't that special, but yet somehow, Kara was all over him.. Aurora thought back to the speech about Loyalty Kara gave to her not that long ago. And this made even less sense. This was not her daughter. Whoever this was, this was not Kara. This was not the girl who would give anything and everything for the ones she loved. This was some weird twisted version that only resembled Kara in appearance.

But regardless as to wether she approved or not..Kara was going to marry Pierce today. Aurora knew this had to be some sort of trap. There was some master plan that The Vampires had to have but she just wasn't seeing it clearly. And she had searched her brain over and over again, trying to find eveey single as to why this would happen. But if it was a trap, it had such a level of genius to it that was so abstract and foreign to Aurora. And though she tried, the puzzle pieces were not fitting together.

Kara was in her room, trying on her wedding dress that had Aurora help her make. It was beautiful. Completely white, sparkling in the light with a blue washed fade at the bottom. Kara had her done just for this occasion. She wanted to look the best that she could for Pierce. And though Aurora had tried to talk sense into her daughter, Kara was having none of it. She would always either choose to ignore or scream at Aurora. Which led to a pointless argument that never went anywhere.

Kara had always wanted to get married. She had dreamed of this day and she found herself being overflowing with happiness. She could tell her Mother wasn't approving but she had to feel deep down, someday she would come to understand.

And Pierce had a suit made by the fellow towns people who were reluctant to do so but the Queen gave her approval and so they fulfilled his request to his exact demands. Everything he wanted, he received. He seemed to put alot of unnecessary thought into the suit in the areas that didn't matter so much. The way the creases would look. The specific fabric that was used. It almost seemed this was done just to inconvenience the workers and not based on preference.

Pierce awaited at the end of a long aisle way. Awaiting his bride to be. The future Queen of the Witches. The future Queen who would unite the Vampires and witches together for the first time in the history of the Underworld. All things considered, this was a momentous event. Nothing like this had ever happened before and would change so many things. For once, maybe there would be peace. But whilst smiling immensely, Kara had been quiet most of the day. She spoke very few words, almost as though she was at a loss for them. But from what anyone could tell, she was happy. The happiest she had been since arriving to the castle.

The ceremony was massive and everyone within the kingdom was required to attend it. Queen Aurora sitting in the front seat, watching over it. Watching her daughter hand her life over to a vampire. " I do" they both smiled at one another, ignoring the crowd. Made most, have a sick stomach. Everything about it felt so wrong. But before they knew it. The ceremony was over.

They did not exchange rings though which Kara was half expecting. Instead, they went with the traditional Vampiric wedding. Which for thousands of years, meant that instead of rings, they would exchange blood. This had been explained to Kara by Pierce a few times.. He was always so thrilled at getting the chance to have this experience with her.

A knife was brought out by the official over the wedding, a job that Aurora had refused. She couldn't bare to officiate something that she could never truly approve.

Both held out their hands, as a large gashes was opened on each hand, from there, they were instructed to clasps their hands together and allow the blood to mix together. This would be their bond. This would be a symbol of them being together as one. This was the most intimate within Vampiric traditions. After the Ceremony was over, they spent the next several days within the castle, keeping an entire portion locked off just for them. And this, this was unbearable for Aurora. But what could she do? This is what her daughter wanted. This is what she insisted upon.

Meanwhile, Victoria and Shawn had finally finished fighting off the Vampires. It had been almost two full days of fighting. Victoria rather enjoyed taking down as many Vampires as she could. This was the longest she had gotten to fight in a long time. And it was thrilling for her. She craved the fighting. She loved the pain and the taste of the blood and sweat. Shawn had been by her side the entire time but the moment the battle ended. He informed her that he had to leave. He never specified why. He just disappeared rather quickly. Though, Shawn had managed to aquire quite a bit of respect from Victoria who had began her journey again. And in some ways, Shawn respected her as well. She was going through so much effort to save Gabriel. She was fighting so hard, and that meant something special to Shawn.

Victoria had made it to the mountain but when she got there, she lost Gabriel's scent completely. Something was wrong. Very wrong. Perhaps she had fought for too long and the scent had faded but that didn't make sense. With other creatures maybe..but Lycan scents tended to linger for weeks at a time.

Victoria attempted to climb the mountain. But at the rate she was climbing. It would takes before she reached the top. She still had hope that he would be in the castle somewhere but it concerned her that he would've taken so long. Something had to go wrong. They must've caught him and there is no telling what they were doing to him.

Each push foward was harder than the last but she kept going. She had to do this for Gabriel. She had to save him. She had to show him that she cared. She needed to prove herself to him. She knew he had doubts about her. She knew she had not won his favor. But even if he hated her forever, she would still save him. He was her King. She had to keep going. No matter the pain with each inch forward.

Gabriel had been fading in and out of consciousness. The spears had been replaced with him being poked and prodded by molten hot steel, leaving burns all over his body. He was now missing a chunk of his ear, the index finger on his right hand completely stripped off from the bone. And at some point during the process, Gabriel stopped feeling any sort of sense of pain.

Jack would come in occasionally and take jabs and stabs into Gabriel's stomach only for the wounds to be left untreated. It was by a sheer miracle that he had bled out completely. He could not remember the last time he had eaten but and the only drink he was provided was the taste of his blood.

A few Vampires had come in and severed some of his nerves, which could be partially the reason he no longer feels pain. In this moment, all he could think about was the decisions he had made in life.

He wish he had treated Kara better. He should have told her how he felt when he had the chance. Days that have since passed and are now far beyond anything he could ever to fix. They had broken Gabriel here. They had made him wish for death, teased him with it and then denied him the freedom. His thoughts trailed back to Shawn and Victoria at times as well. He knows Victoria had meant well and was just proud of their people. And proud of him. She looked up to so much and wanted to impress him. She wanted his approval which he had denied her of. That wasn't fair to her. He was going to let her down. He was not strong enough to keep fighting like this. She would be ashamed if she could see him now.

And Shawn, the person who had no obligations but had always been there for him. He remembers when they first met. Shawn had entered his room when he was just a baby, and approached him when his parents had put him down for the night. He wasn't entirely sure why Shawn was there, but Shawn looked just as surprised as Gabriel was. Almost as though he had never seen a puppy before in his life.

He remembers Shawn's promise to him, that he would always come when he needed him the most. But now. Where was Shawn now? Probabaly busy helping others or back home helping his father and brothers. Gabriel had never gotten the chance to meet Shawn's family before he had to leave for earth. Though he would like the chance if he somehow finds a way out of this.

The sound of clanging metal is sound that Gabriel is all too familiar. It was Jack. He always fumbled with the handle. Which Gabriel could swear was being done on purpose to fuck with his head even more.

Jack enters the room, a wide smile on his face, seemingly so proud of himself. " Well, I don't plan on staying long but I thought you should be informed of the good news" Jack's smile always conveys a new evil torture that Gabriel no longer feared. He knew it was going to happen and he couldn't stop it. He could no longer speak anymore either, his throat was completely broken and so he had to just watch on and listen.

" The war between Vampires and Witches is over" Gabriel raises his head, seeming confused and yet also feeling this had to be some sort of Joke. " Kara has married one of the prince's. So don't worry, she is no longer your problem" Gabriel's eyes widened and he tried to growl, but could barely let out a whimper.

" Oh..I'm sorry. Does this upset you? That a Vampire could taint your precious little Princess? From the stories we have been hearing. He has been tainting her quite a bit..and she is loving every single second of it " Gabriel's eyes turn immediatly golden though he doesn't shift. The chains from which he is restrained, are magical in nature, and bind his shifting abilities as well as his strength.

" That's right Gabriel. She loves it. She is his now. She belongs to him and there is nothing you can do about it" Jack cakles.

" And the best part..she isn't even in a trance. She just went for it. I guess she wanted something other than puppy chow. I wonder what the Vampire/ Witch Hybrid kiddos will look like. They sure have been working rather hard at it. " Gabriel bares his fangs to Jack. If he could free himself, he would rip him to shreds for this. And when he was done. There would be nothing left of him.

" I just thought you should know " Jack winks as he backs his way out of the room.

This was it. Gabriel was broken now. There was nothing left of him. He could not even hear the sounds of growls and screams coming from outside the room. He could not hear the door opening and Victoria running up to him, shaking him to see if he was okay. The world stopped for Gabriel. And as Victoria ripped off the chains, he responded to nothing and simply fell to the floor. Victoria's screams at him could not be heard and so she picked him up and placed him over her shoulder.

And carried him away from the castle and down the mountain as best she could.

It took a few days to get down the mountain. Victoria had difficulty managing to carry both of them down but she did eventually get them down the mountain where she shifted and slumped Gabriel on her back and she carried him back to the Lycan territory. She had no idea what happened. She had no idea why he wasn't responding but she was worried sick about him and tried to go as slow as possible so he wouldn't fall off. Little did she know, that she is now carrying nothing but a shell. For this the day, that Gabriel dies.
