Chapter Fourteen: Loyalty

Victoria leads Gabriel to his room. The room has purple and gold trim everywhere. Most of the furniture looks simplistic but comfortable at the same time. And whilst he looks around the room, Victoria stands awkwardly in the doorway.

" I hope everything is too your liking" She chuckles awkwardly knowing he is still disappointed in her. " Gabriel can you please talk to me. I know you are mad so just say it. If you wanna rip my damn arm off then fucking do it already. I don't care. I'm just glad you are home " Victoria steps forward and wraps her arms around his waste from behind. His scent was so strong and so comforting. It was dominant and yet kind. it was unlike any other scent she had ever gotten to experience. " I know you hate me right now. But I'm serious when I say that I wasn't trying to cause problems. And maybe, yes, I got jealous a bit but I think that's fair. Kara has had you long enough" This makes Gabriel pull away from Victoria which breaks her grip on him. He steps away out of her reach but continues to not look at her.

" Are you in love with her? " Victoria asks blatantly which catches Gabriel off guard. He takes a while to answer and continues looking around the room as he tries to think of a way to answer the question.

" No. I'm not in love with her. She is my friend. And she is the Princess of Witches. And I am the King of the Lycans. We are friends. Nothing more. Allies for now " He is still not sure of Queen Auroras intentions but he intends to find out sooner rather than later. " And I am your Queen..if you'll have me.." Victoria takes another step foward as Gabriel turns around to face her.

" I don't know yet. I don't entirely see why I would need a Queen. Much less one who disrespects our allies.." he says sternly which makes Victoria clasp her hands together and take a deep breath to calm herself. " Again. I'm sorry. And ya know, I'm not exactly thrilled about the marriage thing either. Yes, it is a great honor. And of course, I care about you immensely but this was thrown on me too. If you don't take a Queen wether it is me or not, the people will find you unfit to rule. A Queen has always been beside a king for thousands of years" Victoria tries to reason with him though he shrugs and says " Perhaps things do need to change. Either way, marriage seems a bit of a stretch for me and you, don't you think? We only knew each other as kids and have not talked since"

Victoria tilts her head to the side with her lips puffed out. " True. But we are familiar enough with one another. And our parents were pushing this to happen for a long time. You know I would never betray you. I have been loyal to you through all the years that passed by. And anyone who tried to disrespect your name was met with an ass kicking.

And besides that, is it even that much of a stretch. I mean. I find you attractive. Do you find me attractive? " Victoria stares up into Gabriel's eyes who freezes on what to say. " I...guess I've never never thought about it.." He manages to utter out which makes Victoria laugh. " So think about it now. Look at me, do you find me attractive?" Victoria spins around so that he can get a full look at her.

" I don't know. I guess. I don't exactly know what you would want me to say with this. And besides that. It's not just about physical attraction. Isn't there suppose to be more. Like Kara said.." The sheer mention of her name makes Victoria growl under her teeth. " I suppose..". Gabriel sits down on the bed beside him and thinks more about it. " And besides that. There are more pressing matters currently. I have to find a solution fast or our people are going to die.."

Victoria nods slowly and begins backing away " Okay..I will..leave you to it then" She grumbles as she heads out the door and closes it behind her.

Meanwhile, Kara and Queen Aurora have decided to bring the training to an end. And after sharing in a meal together, Kara heads up to her room where she can finally sit down and relax on the bed. It had been such a long day but so much had been accomplished and that made her happy.

Kara raises her hand as three little balls of light begin dancing above her head. As she watches the light spheres dance around, Kara thinks back to Gabriel. She wonders if he would be proud of the progress she had made. She also wondered if he was okay. Perhaps someday she could visit the Lycan Kingdom and check on him. But now. They still needed time apart Kara felt.

Kara sat up and walked over to the window, and opened it. The night sky was beautiful. It didn't have stars but it was a beautiful shade of dark Green now. Kara somehow preferred this over the Dark Blue night sky back on earth. Though it could do with some stars.

" hmm" Kara smiles at the idea she just had as she raises up both of her hands, raising forth thousands upon thousands of light orbs to which she tosses into the sky. Each one scatters and eventually settles firm into place. " Well its not stars but i guess it will do for the time being" Kara gazes up at her handiwork. And whilst most had gone to bed and couldn't not witness her beautiful work, One man could. Cloaked from head to toe in all black, and silver hair flowing through the wind as his feet firmly planted themselves on a sand dune. He watched as the orbs sparkled in the sky and knew that he was almost at his destination. " Don't worry My Princess. I will be there soon"

Gabriel lays awake in his bed, staring up at the ceiling trying to think of any and all solutions he can to this issue but finds nothing that would make complete sense.

" CRSSSH" a loud sounds cracks in Gabriel's room who leaps up ready to attack the source with absolute brutality. In the shadows, a hooded figure steps forth. He brandishes a large scythe on his back. A scythe that Gabriel actually remembers very well. " Shawn?" He smiles at the sight of his old friend.

The figure spreads open his arms in a hugging gesture. " Its been a long time. Come give me a hug" Gabriel half thinking, almost does so and then stops himself. " Oh no you dont..we both know that is a bad idea"

If Gabriel and Shawn were to hug..or for that matter anyone was to touch Shawn..they would perish. Shawn is a night slasher. And not just any night slasher. He is a prince of sorts. Or as close as there is to being a prince when it comes to Nightslashers.

" What are you doing here? " Gabriel questions, having not seen Shawn since before he left to earth. " Well you know. Death. Famine. Kind of my thing. Had to drop by and ya know..ask the question.. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" Gabriel falls back on the bed clasping his hands on his face. " I fucking wish I knew" Gabriel proceeds to explain to Shawn every single thing he had learned in hopes maybe Shawn had a solution.

" Oh..no that definitely sounds like magic. Now wether its Vampiric or Witch magic is something we have yet to find out. But let's go get us some answers " Shawn raises his skeletal hand and snaps his fingers which seems like an impossible task to accomplish without skin and yet he made it happen. The next thing he knew, he was back in Auroras throne room. Though, it felt slightly colder than normal. Which was strange until Gabriel looked down and realized he was missing all of his clothes except his boxers.

" WHAT THE FUCK MAN?" Gabriel shouts but Shawn continues looking straight foward. " I thought it would be funny..and I was right. Let's see how this works out" Gabriel growls in detest " You aren't even laughing though..." Gabriel looks around, trying to find any sort of cover and can't seem to find anything. The entire room is practically bare. Essentially like him in this moment.

" Yes I am. You just can't tell. Trust me. Its happening" And with that, Shawn snaps his fingers and suddenly Kara and Queen Aurora appear in front of Gabriel and Shawn.

" What is the meaning of this Shawn..." Aurora groans, having had to deal with Shawn's shenanigans the entire time since Gabriel had been gone. Kara's eyes immediatly go to Gabriel and notices his nakedness. " And why...is he Naked...?" Kara asked as her face began turning red.

" Don't worry. I'm naked too " Shawn chattered to which Queen Aurora and Kara stared blankly at him.

" okaaaaaaay...so again..what is the meaning of this Shawn. It is very late and we have alot of things to do.." Queen Aurora rubs her eyes to which Shawn nudges Gabriel who explains what is going on in the Lycan Kingdom.

" Yes. I am aware of the sickness. I have told your people that I am not sure what I can do from my side because there really isn't much that I can do. To me, it's not a Witch Magic of any sort. And if it was Vampirac. I highly doubt they would be willing to help..." Aurora answers, leaving Gabriel feeling hopeless. " I have to find a way to stop this before my people die. We have helped to the best of our abilities for years and all we ask is that you aid us" Gabriel and Shawn looked on with anticipation but Queen Auroras expression did not seem to convey good news.

" I don't know what you would want me to do Gabriel? Raid the entire Vampire Kingdom? You are talking about a full scale war that none of us are prepared to fight. For the possibility of finding out that they might not be the cause"

Gabriel was in disbelief at what he was hearing. " So you are saying you wont aid us? " He steps foward. Almost as though to hear her more clearly. " No" She answers. " I'm sorry. I understand the severity but this would be putting all the Kingdoms in jeopardy. This is a huge risk that I can't see worth taking" Gabriel chuckled in disbelief as he felt the anger inside of building. " So what you really mean. Your people aren't worth risking over ours..." Gabriel backs away and looks to Shawn. Who also seems to be confused by the Queen's response.

" This will not be forgotten Aurora" And with that, Shawn teleports Gabriel and himself away.

Kara was in shock with everything she had just seen and heard. Seeing Gabriel was weirdly relieving but she couldn't believe Aurora's Harshness.

" There is no way you can be serious. They need help. From the sounds of it...they are dying. We have to be able to do something. There has to be some sort of healing magic we can use on them or the..I don't know" Kara was still mad at Gabriel but even still, she knew his people deserve their fate and couldn't understand why it would be so hard to help.

" Its not that simple Kara. If we get involved, this will start a full on war. And the last time that happened.." Kara interrupts her mother. " I know full well what happened. But that doesn't mean shit, if we can't help the people who have fought on our side this entire time. Especially during that war. You said yourself how great Gabriel's parents were. And we are essentially leaving them to die right now.." This made Aurora rub her eyes from frustration. Kara was so young and Aurora knew she couldn't understand the place and mindset she was in.

" Kara...I don't think you understand.." which only made Kara even more upset. This sounded like nothing but excuses. " If you are my mother, then we obviously don't have our loyalty in common. Despite the fact that me and Gabriel have our issues right now..I still want to help and you should too. I'm sure our people would love to help. If the Vampires want a war then that is something that they started. They can't be allowed to get away with this shit"

Kara walked over and pulled Aurora's arms down, forcing her. mother to face her. " But if you aren't going to help. If you really intend on doing nothing at all. Then let's continue the training so that I can go help" Kara knew she had to step up and offer her assistance even if her mother would do nothing else except train.

" Kara...I will send a message to them tomorrow offering our assistance. You are right. I know know are right. I just got you back and the people are still recovering from the last war..but you are absolutely right. We have to help. It's what we have stood for all these years. Kara smiles and breathes a sigh of relief and then remembers to ask " Who was that guy with Gabriel? "

" A fucking man child Kara..a fucking man child"
