Daniel Grayson,
After taking a seven-hour flight, I arrived at Palm Springs International Airport, California. There I found a man named Ethan, who had my name on a flashcard. He was there to land me his car, by the order of the church, and also giving me his phone number.
I used the car GPS to guide myself to the Mojave Desert at once. After continuous driving for an hour, the amulet glowed and an unsettling feeling hit me. I was still a few miles away from my destination, but because of the feeling, I had to go off the road and head west.
Studying the map, I jumped off-road. Driving through the rugged landscape. There was nothing out of the ordinary. Soon reaching somewhere in the middle of the fountain peak and edger peak. There I found something unusual, near the recreational site, stood a personal service room. A service room similar to which you will find in large buildings with all the electrical equipment and breakers.
Which was rather highly unusual, since it was in the middle of a desert and even without any electrical poles. I came close to it for observation. The unsettling feeling that I felt came from beneath the service room. The four walls and roof were made of steel and the iron door had a keypad on its side and a camera staring at me.
I dropped my suitcase and took out the rest of my artifacts. The bracelet now on the arm and cross in my hand. I touched the Keypad with my hand and told it to unlock itself. The digits typed themselves and with a beep, it unlocked and opened by sliding sideways. Opening to a staircase, which unusually never leads to anything good.
Few dozen steps under and ending at a narrow passageway. At the end of the narrow passageway was a double door with another keypad to it and a camera looking at me. Again putting my hand on it and commanding it to unlock itself. It made a beep sound and then opened to an elevator. I stepped in it, it had only two buttons. One going down to the first floor and one leading up to the surface.
I pressed the down one and the elevator started moving. The elevator was not your normal one, it was wide enough to fit the school bus inside. As it went downwards, I started to hear a faint siren going off and it became louder as I went further down. Then the elevator open and I was greeted by more solid lines in front of the door. At least 30 solider, armed with semi-automatic rifles.
I knew that I fucked up, as one of them yelled [Fire!]
Before I could yell back, not that it would have mattered, all of them unloaded on me. I covered my face with the Red Cross as the bullets showered on me. The bullets felt like a small pocket of air, hitting me, because of the bracelet's protection. But it was still annoying and my amulet started glowing. I commanded.
[Stop! For fuck sake!]
All of them froze up in an instant. I stood straight up again, shaking off all the bullets out of my coat. Thanks to the bracelet I was protected but the same could not be said was cloths, they were full of holes now. I sigh and walked towards the entrance, but before I could reach it, another shot was fired at my forehead, but the bullet just bounced off.
Now I was just getting irritated. The man who fired the shot came forwards. He was wearing a suit and a tie and was in the forties, with gray colored hair.
[Who the fuck are you? and what did you do with my men?]
Great, I found a man who was willing to talk.
[Well then...I think we could help each other]
I decided to transfer all of his memories to me. The amulet started to glow again and his eyes flashed color blue. His name Mark Hayden and this was a government black sight, code name "ABYSS". It was used for human experimentations and for contentment for creatures that were considered as "mistakes".
All thought it was all amazing, but all was not my concern. The black sight had six floors. Floor numbers six, five, four were on one side and floor numbers three and two were on the other side and the top was the first floor which acted as a garage and warehouse. At the very bottom was a nuclear reactor, powering the whole Black sight. Above that were living equators for the agents and staff. Above that was the floor that contained various labs and departments. And the second and third floor was a containment zone, where various "items of interest" and "things of interest" were kept.
My concern was on the fourth floor of the Foundation, there rested the lab of Dr. Jackal, containing the Ring. I ordered Mr. Hayden to company me to the fourth floor. He nodded and stored his gun under his suit. He followed me through what you can call a reception and security check. Due to my sudden forced entrance, the sight was on high alert. But it ended once I ordered around a little. Everyone allowed us to pass without any problem, well I did had to control everyone.
We finally reached another elevator which took us down to the fourth floor. The door opened to reveal a whole new region. Many individuals downed in white lab coats and black suits walking about, performing their daily tasks. I sat us not to be noticed, as we made our way through the metallic hallway lighted by fluorescent lights. Passing people talking about various matters and the sudden alert siren, and moving various equipment.
The labs here at the black sight were divided into several divisions. Ranging from the weapon, soldier, bio-weaponry, equipment, and monster division. Each researching and experimenting there respected the subject. The floor itself was divided into five wings on the map as North, South, East, West, and Central wing. Presented as a map on the wall for directions. Dr. Emmett's lab was in the bio-weaponry division, which was the east wing.
We finally reached the lab numbered 2-B-W and beyond the door, I could unmistakably hear screams. Above the door was red, indicating that whatever happening was inside was not to be distributed. I touched the key lock and ordered it to open.
